Hi All! Happy Sunday! I’m back with a skincare review. I love Derma E and am lucky to get sent some of their products to review from time to time.
I received these Derma E products in December, and have been enjoying using them. Here’s information about the products:
Skin Restore Advanced Peptides and Collagen Serum ($36.50 USD) — helps support skin’s need for moisture with Vitamin E, and highly effective antioxidants such as Vitamin C and Green Tea provide comprehensive anti-aging benefits. With ingredients that are thought to support collagen health, this is an amazing collagen and peptide serum to give glowing skin! I love using it at night with my other treatments. I find that it plumps my skin by morning and gives a youthful glow.
Skin Restore Advanced Peptide and Collagen Moisturizer($35 USD) — restores a more youthful appearance to skin by diminishing the look of lines and wrinkles. A highly advanced formulation packed with the peptides and collagen needed for healthy-looking skin makes this the best moisturizer for wrinkles. We use the powerful multi-peptides Matrixyl®synthe’6® and Argireline®, as well as Pycnogenol®, an amazing antioxidant that is thought to support healthy collagen, which is the protein essential for vibrant skin that has a wonderful smoothness and elasticity. This also includes Vitamin C and Green Tea for extra anti-aging antioxidants. Plus, it’s so hydrating without being greasy!
Beauty Sponge ($4.99 USD) — This multi-tasking beauty sponge is perfect for skincare and makeup application. This soft sponge works to blend creams, liquids, and serums for a flawless finish. Pair with a favorite serum, moisturizer or BB cream for effortlessly beautiful skin.
I am loving all of these products! I need the extra hydration and anti-aging properties in my skin right now. It’s get’s so dry in the winter, and that doesn’t help aging skin. But these lovely products do!
Have you tried Derma E? Which of their products do you love?
Hi all! It’s time for my first Shop my Stash of 2020!
I’m always excited to play with new (again to me) color cosmetics that I either haven’t used in a while or haven’t used much at all! My goal is to get more use out of the products I have and to see if they are something I want to keep.
This month I have chosen two palettes that I have barely used and a blush, bronzer and lipstick that I just purchased in the Black Friday sales. I usually don’t choose brand new (to me) products, but I really want to try these out.
Here are the palettes open:
So many pretty shades to play with! I have already used them today and loved playing with something I haven’t tried in a while.
Here are close ups of the products:
Makeup Revolution The Emily Edit The Wants Palette— I purchased this in June of 2019 (on sale at Ulta), and I haven’t used it since summer. Most of my palettes have less shades then this, so it’s a little intimidating when I open it. I used it today and I kept adding different colors of shimmer on my lid (Cupcake, Top Story, Eve Rose and Pizzaz). They do all work together, but I need to calm down and know that I can use some shades for other looks this month, lol! Do you have that problem with larger palettes?
Urban Decay On The Run palette in Detour — This is such a pretty little palette. And the blues definitely give me winter vibes. I received this from Urban Decay in 2019 and am exited to play with it. The formula is gorgeous.
I wear lipgloss more than lipstick, but I have bought a few lipsticks last year that I need to use. This is the MAC Lipstick in the Cremesheen formula. The shade is Creme in Your Coffee— a creamy mid-tone pink brown. I love hydrating lip formulas and this one is very nice. I’m looking forward to using it!
Here are swatches of the bronzer, lipstick and blush.
I’m so exited for this month, and this year! I’m hoping to use more of my stash, and purchase less. I’m also doing a new series that I will be starting soon — I will be reviewing 20 of my palettes this year that I haven’t reviewed yet. And I might do a Project Pan. I’m still thinking about that.
Are you planning to use what you got this year — or is it spend, spend, spend (like I did last year)? LOL! Let me know!
Hi All! I’m back with my December Shop My Stash results! I enjoy dipping into my collection and using products I haven’t used in a long time, or just haven’t given much of a chance.
My rule with this is if I don’t like the item after the month, I will move it out of my collection to make some room and let someone else enjoy it! You can check out my first Shop My Stash post for December.
I’ve had a lot of fun playing with these products this month! And I have definitely decided to keep all of these products!
I usually wear a lip pencil and lip gloss everyday, but I do enjoy these lipsticks. They are matte, so I wear a gloss over them. They are very long wearing.
Here are the palettes open:
The ABH Sultry palette was my favorite product in my stash this month. I haven’t really used it much before this month. I love it! It’s so gorgeous. All the looks I made with it have been every day looks with a touch of glam. The shimmers/metallics take all looks to the next level! I used most of the shades in this.
I also used the Urban Decay Elements palette a few times in December. I like this palette, especially the purples and bronzes. I don’t really wear the blues, greens or the matte pink. The gold in this palette is so gorgeous! I’m going to keep this for now, but if it takes me until next holiday season to use it again, I will pass it on to someone else.
I used the highlighters in this Ofra x Madison Miller palette a lot. I would often forget to wear the blush, but when I did, I liked it. It’s not my favorites shade, but it blends out nice and wears well. The highlighters are so glowy! I will keep this and see if I reach for it.
Now, on to my empties!
I have a good amount of empties for December. Mostly skincare as always.
Out of these products, I can see myself repurchasing the Smashbox Primerizer (on sale) and the Ordinary Hyaluronic acid (when I am needing it). I have other hydrating serums that I am using now. The Primera water cream was nice, but I have a lot of moisturizers open and in my stash, so if I purchase it, it won’t be for a while. The Meaningful Beauty SPF moisturizer is okay. It’s a bit greasy and I’d like to find a less heavy sunscreen this year.
I LOVE both of these mists. The Skin & Co one is great for setting makeup and the Botanics mist is one I use after washing my face as a toner. I’m not going to purchase new ones write now because I have lots of mists to use up.
The Primera essence is so lovely! I may be repurchasing it. I have been working on the Soap & Glory Righteous Butter for a long time! I do like it, but don’t have to have it. I’m using other body creams right now.
December was another successful Shop My Stash and I used up lots of good products!
I’ve decided I’m going to do the same style Shop My Stash this year. From time to time I might add in some complexion products. We’ll see. I was thinking of doing a Project Pan, too. But I’m not sure. What do you think? Do you shop your stash or do Project Pans?
Hi all! I received my December BoxyLuxe about of week ago. But, I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to review it. I started subscribing to BoxyLuxe last December and have been a subscriber of BoxyCharm for two and a half years.
The regular BoxyCharm box is $25 a month now. BoxyLuxe is a once-a-quarter upgrade option you can add to your existing $25-a-month Boxycharm subscription. So for an additional $24.99, you’ll get the Luxe box, and be paying a total of $49.99 for that quarterly box.
I saw the spoilers for this box, I just didn’t know what variations I would get. I did get to pick some of the items I would receive, which I really liked.
The theme for this month is Whimsy. There’s a good mix of makeup, skincare and hair care this month. Here’s what I received:
Storybook Cosmetics Fairy Tale Book Club – Little Briar Rose – $55
My total this month is a whopping $485.50! Wow! Amazing for a $50 box.
I’m excited about both of these! I love Rituals and I haven’t tried this shower gel before. I’m going to put it in my shower after we’ve used up all the holiday shower gels, LOL!
The IGK dry shampoo gets great reviews. I don’t usually use dry shampoo much, but I will give this a go!
The bottle of the Elemis oil is so gorgeous! It is very rose-scented. I like it, but I hope it isn’t too strong for me. I have a few oils open now, so I will be trying it later.
The QMS product is so expensive! It would be great if it worked on my lip lines. I will be trying this soon.
I am already using the FRESH cleanser. It’s such an OG cleanser, but I haven’t used it before. I like it so far. It has a refreshing scent and really cleans skin without drying it out.
I’ve been trying to decide if I want to keep the Ciate blush, but I think I will. I don’t really have one in this darker pink shade. I’m excited to try it!
I am not keeping the metallic lipstick or the liquid eyeliner. I don’t wear either. I’ll find someone who will love them, though.
This is a very pretty palette! I love how it looks like a book, and the shades are gorgeous. I’m gifting this to someone, because I have so many eyes shadows that I need to use! I am actually going to start a new series in 2020 where I review 20 of my current palettes that I haven’t reviewed yet. I have so many that I bought last year or the year before and haven’t reviewed!
Do you get BoxyLuxe? What did you get this month and what were your favorite products?
Hi all! Madam Glam has released a festive holographic nail polish collection for December. They sent a few of the shades to me for my honest review.
Madam Glam offers Vegan, Cruelty-Free, 9-Free and Gluten-Free nail and gel polishes. They are easy to use and so long lasting when cured!
I received the four beautiful shades above — Candy Cane, Let it Snow, Holo Night and Mistletoe.
The shades are:
Candy Cane — Dark pink with gold sparkles
Let it Snow — Dark blue with gold sparkles
Holo Night — Shimmery gray with silver and gold sparkles
Mistletoe — Green with gold sparkles
Here’s wet swatches, I haven’t cured the nails. But this shows the pretty shades! There are 6 more shimmery shades in the collection. At the moment they are sold out, but hopefully there will be a restock.
Have you tried Madam Glam before? Do you like gel polish?

They only use certified organic plants grown from seed to harvest each year while using the entire plant to extract the oil. The end result is a highly concentrated form of CBD that provides anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties far more powerful than vitamins C and E. The brand takes their products one step further blending this full spectrum CBD oil with ancient Korean herbs to help the CBD absorb better. Cannabliss doesn’t use any water, chemicals or preservatives in their formulas. The brand uses an airless pump to keep liquids safe from oxidation and bacteria so your favorite skincare essential stays shelf stable. Rooted in everything natural, all products are packaged in eco-friendly PET plastic.

Do you like to use natural products and/or give them as gifts? Which brands are your favorites?
Hi all! I’ve just received my second ever BoxyCharm Premium! This is a fairly new subscription from BoxyCharm. It’s a little more products than the regular and a little less than the BoxyLuxe. Here’s the details:
It’s $35 a month
6-7 beauty items a box
You get to pick one of the items
The items will be different from BoxyCharm/BoxyLuxe – you can subscribe to both with no product overlap.
My total this month is — $197. This is a pretty good value for paying $35. It is over the $175 promised value.
The shades in this neutral palette are so pretty, but I don’t like the layout of it. I think nice looks can be created with it, but I think I’ll gift it to someone else. I have lots of neutral palettes and I’m sure a friend will be happy to get this for Christmas!
This is a fun little palette. I’ve never heard of this brand before (Basic Beauty). I have plenty of highlighters, and these look dark for my skin tone, so I was going to give it away. But when I opened it, the shade No Spraytan’s had a scratch that looks like someone’s nail got in it. So, there’s no way I would give this to someone else.
So I swatched it and the shades are gorgeous! I have used No Spraytan’s as a highlighter. It is a bit too dark, but it does look a glowy and pretty on.
Here are swatches:
See how stunning they are. I can actually use all three of these as eye shadows. And the texture (and look) is like Colourpop’s Super Shock shadows. I will be playing with these to see how I like them.
I don’t usually wear black eyeliner, but I may try this to tightline. I don’t know. I might pass it on. Not a thrilling item.
Three of the products are skincare. It’s so interesting because when I first started BoxyCharm a few years ago, it was only makeup. Now half of the products are skincare. I’m not sure how I feel about that yet.
My eyelids have been dry and flaky lately, so I’m happy to get the Laneige eye sleeping mask. And I have a small bottle of the Glow Recipe Pink Juice, so I am happy to have a full size one. I haven’t used it for long, but it seems like a nice moisturizer.
I’m going to give my daughter the Skinfix balm because she has Ezcema.
I am pretty happy with this month. I am giving away two products and will keep the rest! Nothing is super exciting to me, but I’ll use them and maybe I’ll find a new favorite.
