Hi all!  Happy Sunday!  I hope you are doing well and staying safe.

So what to do when your home on Sunday?  Why, masking of course! I was recently sent some fun products from Global Beauty Care.

IMG-3059

GBC is a fun and affordable skincare company that specializes in creating “impactful, award-winning, high-quality products, in elegant yet eye-catching packaging. Using advanced technology and quality ingredients, GBC has created a full line of innovative skin care products to help repair, replenish and refortify your most visible organ- your skin!Their extensive product line appeals to customers of all age groups.” (https://globalbeautycare.com/our-company/)

I also want to add affordable! Here’s close ups of what I received:

IMG-3063

Metallic Wash-Off Masks ($10.99 USD) – These masks are so fun to use! I received a pack with the following three masks:

Pore Minimizing Blue Marine Algae + Eucalyptus + Aloe Vera Metallic Wash-Off Face Mask. Blue Marine Algae helps to even out your complexion, cleans deep down in your pores, detoxifies, and hydrates your skin. Eucalyptus helps in destroying bacteria clogging the pores. Aloe Vera helps to soothe & moisturize the skin.
Calming Dead Sea Salts & Minerals + Baking Soda + Diamond Metallic Wash-Off Face Mask. Dead Sea Salts & Minerals help to draw out dirt and impurities from your skin and helps peel away dead skin cells. Baking Soda has antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Diamond helps provide skin brightness and clarity.
Nourishing Algae + Tea Tree + Seaweed Metallic Wash-Off Face Mask. Algae helps exfoliate skin & deliver powerful anti-oxidant protection. Tea Tree helps to control oil & acne prone skin. Seaweed is rich in nutrients, and is known for its soothing and smoothing effects.
I have multi-masked and used all three of these. They are all unscented and aren’t irritating. My skin looked amazing afterwards! Soft and smooth.¬† I recommend all of these.¬† GBS has other masks at well so you can find ones that would be perfect for your skin type.

IMG-3062

Collagen Hydrogel Lip Masks ($8.99 USD) — This moisture-rich formula contains Collagen proteins and essential fatty acids. These ingredients help revive skin elasticity and minimize the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles. They help to lift, firm and tone your skin. Just one treatment will leave your lips feeling smoother & softer, looking younger & more radiant!

Is so much fun to use! It’s a berry colored gel mask that smells lightly of fruit. After use, my lips did look a bit smoother and fuller.

I really enjoyed these products!  What are some of your favorite masks?

TellurideGlow Skincare Brand Review

IMG-2915

Hey all! I received some lovely skincare from the brand TellurideGlow for my honest review.

TellurideGlow’s skincare contains Alpine botanicals that produce abundant secondary metabolites, vitamins and protective phytonutrients that help to increase the powers of regeneration that repair, brighten and firm the skin.

IMG-2917

I received a full sized Snow Rose Recovery Mask ($75 USD) — which is lovely! It is a powder mask which when activated turns into a deep mauve color. It has a soft rose and vanilla scent.¬† This mask¬†delivers¬†immediate¬†skin¬†perfection¬†with¬†moisture retaining¬†Snow Mushroom and crushed Rose petals in a¬†resurfacing masterpiece¬†that¬†detoxifies¬†without dryness.

Remineralizing New Zealand Glacial Clay works with regenerative alpine actives to help promote collagen and reveal luminous, soft, dewy and polished skin, with a noticeable reduction in the appearance of pores and fine lines.

IMG-2922

I really enjoy this mask.  I feel that it does brighten my skin and it leaves it so soft!

IMG-2919

I also received the adorable Gift Box of Petite Minis ($60 USD) — It includes a mini of the Snow Rose mask, the Aspen Dew Illuminating Essence, The Alpine Phytonutrient Serum and The Purist Delicate Skin Serum.

All of the serums are so nourishing, but the Purist is my favorite. It’s formulated for sensitive and reactive skin (me), and is very light and comfortable on the skin.
The Purist contains unprocessed superfood seed oils that provide moisture while smoothing, balancing and strengthening the skin.

The Alpine Phytonutrient Serum is the ultimate organic bouquet of high recovery botanicals, unprocessed to deliver nutrient-dense moisture and boost elasticity,  tone, and a stronger skin barrier while helping to shield against photo aging. This fast absorbing formula is supercharged with 20 power botanicals and high concentrations of cold pressed alpine phytonutrients to feed depleted skin.

The Aspen Dew Illuminating Essence enhances firming and smoothing while releasing its brightening, hydrating and corrective skincare properties into the skin. Formulated to help fade brown spots, smooth lines, even out texture and deliver a brightening effect daily. Stands alone beautifully, or pair with The Alpine or Purist serums for amplified skin recovery.  This gives the skin a gorgeous glow!

I’m glad I got to try all of these!¬† I really enjoy the formula of these products.¬† They are very nourishing and have so many good ingredients.¬†What do you think of these products?

BoxyCharm Premium Review – January 2020

IMG-2595

Hi all! I’ve just received my January BoxyCharm Premium! This is a fairly new subscription from BoxyCharm.¬† It’s a little more products than the regular and a little less than the BoxyLuxe.¬† Here’s the details:

  • It‚Äôs $35 a month
  • 6-7 beauty items a box
  • $175+ Value
  • You get to pick one of the items
  • The items will be different from BoxyCharm/BoxyLuxe ‚Äď you can subscribe to both with no product overlap.

The products I received are:

IMG-2593

The total this month is $221 — good for a $35 box!

IMG-2598IMG-2600

This is such a gorgeous palette in person.¬† This is what I chose this month, and I’m so glad I did.¬† The packaging is stunning, and so are the shades!¬† I am going to try to review this sometime this month and I’ll do swatches when I do.

IMG-2603

I was very surprised to see this in the box!  I heard that a single Kat Von D shadow would be included, so I was very excited to see the Natasha Denona top coat shadow in my box! I love anything purple, too, so that made it even better! IMG-2605IMG-2607

This is a close up of the shadow and a swatch.¬† It’s just a wash of shimmer, but it looks gorgeous over shadows!¬† Since it has gold and silver in it, it can be used in both cool and warm toned looks.¬† I’ve used it with a purple look, but I’m going to keep playing with it.¬† Stunning!

IMG-2608IMG-2609

I’m always on the lookout for new brow products.¬† I think 2019 is the year that I started getting my brows together and I hope to perfect them in 2020!¬† The brow pencil in this kit is more of a medium brown, and I have dark brown hair.¬† But, I might keep this in my stash and try it when I finish a pencil or two.¬† I think the concealer/highlighter stick looks pretty nice.

IMG-2602

I’m very excited for this.¬† I’ve already used it a couple of times and love it! I’ve been using it as a primer. It sits nicely over my sunscreen and makes a gorgeous base for makeup.¬† I also layer a pore filling primer in my t-zone over this serum and my makeup looks amazing with it.¬† I have just started trying out Farsali products and have been loving them so far.¬† ¬†I received the Farsali Rose Gold Skin Mist in my November BoxyCharm and I purchased the Farsali Skin Goals – Blur, Prime, Hydrate & Soothe Set¬†for myself and have been trying those serums and primers.

IMG-2597

I was so excited to see Tula in the box until I realized that it’s an acne cleanser.¬† I haven’t had acne for years, so I’m wondering if BoxyCharm uses our beauty quizzes at all!¬† It’s the only type of skincare I can’t use.¬† I will have to pass it on to someone else.

I do think I’ll keep and try the bliss mask.¬† My pores are large and look congested, even though I don’t have oily skin.¬† So, I’ll test it out and if it’s too harsh for me, I’ll pass it on.

I’m pretty happy with my box this month. I love the Farsali serum, the eye shadow palette and the Natasha Denona eye shadow topper.¬† I won’t use the Tula cleanser and I might try the mask and brow kit.

I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about this box.¬† It’s $10 more than the regular BoxyCharm. In the last few months, I have loved about half of the box and felt meh about the other half.¬† So is it worth it? Maybe?¬† I’m going to keep getting it at least for a few more months.

Do you get this box?  What do you think?

Walmart Beauty Box Review — Fall 2019

IMG-2201

Hi all!¬† I’m here with a review of a beauty box that I have been getting for a couple of years, but haven’t reviewed it on my blog before.

It’s the Walmart Beauty Box.¬† It’s a $5 quarterly subscription box. This review is of the Fall 2019 box.¬† Here’s what I received:

IMG-2169.jpg

Here’s a closer look at the products:

IMG-2172IMG-2173 This is a bright and pretty palette.¬† I can’t believe I got it in a Walmart box and it was basically free!¬† I’ve never heard of this brand, but it looks really pretty.

I don’t know if these are shades I would reach for, so I will probably gift this to a friend this Christmas.

IMG-2171.jpg

I was also happily surprised to see a full size lip product!¬† I haven’t tried this yet, I don’t wear many liquid lips, but I might try the formula out.¬† And I love the Jergens lotion, plus this is perfect travel size.

IMG-2170 These are more like what I get in my Walmart boxes, masks and supplements.¬† I won’t use the supplements, but either I will use the mask or I will gift it.

I am very impressed with this month’s Walmart Beauty Box! For $5 — what a great deal!¬† I might continue reviewing these in the future, if they are fun and exciting.

Do you get Walmart Beauty Box each quarter?  What did you get in your Fall box?

BoxyCharm Subscription Box Review — November 2019

IMG-1988

Hey all! I recently received my November BoxyCharm! This month there was a change in the cost and value of the box.

I’ve been subscribed to BoxyCharm for over two years now and really enjoy it.¬†BoxyCharm is now $25 a month plus tax for 5 full-sized beauty items. The value is going to be at least $125 each month.

I’m now only getting this box, BoxyLuxe four times a year and the new BoxyCharm Premium (see my first review here).¬† I have cancelled my Ipsy Ultimate. I’m not very interested in Ipsy at the moment, but I think BoxyCharm is doing such a great job with their boxes.

My version is 15. This month I received:

IMG-1958

The value of my box this month is $192. That’s a great value for spending $25

IMG-1960IMG-1961

I was pretty happy to see this in the box.¬† I have been wanting to try the Dominique Cosmetics eye shadow formula.¬† I have tried a lip gloss from the brand and really love it.¬† The only thin is these colors are so dramatic.¬† I’m trying to decide if I should keep it to try the formula or pass it on to someone else.¬† If I do keep it, I can pair some of the shades with a more neutral palette.

IMG-1962 I have tried self-warming eye masks before, but not this brand.  I will give them a try, or I might gift them.

IMG-1963

I am very excited to try the Farsali mist.¬† I have been wanting to try this brand, and it’s so exciting that I received it in my BoxyCharm.¬† It might be my favorite item in the box this month!

The Dose of Colors lipstick is in the shade Date Night.¬† I already receive a red DOC lipstick from BoxyCharm earlier this year, and I don’t wear red lipstick.¬† I was really hoping I would get one I could wear because I like the formula.¬† I will be gifting this.

The Kypris serum is very fancy.¬† It’s so expensive!¬† I’ve heard that it has organic ingredients that once you open, you need to use it in 6 months so it won’t go bad.¬† So I’m going to wait until I’m out of current hydrating serum then I am going to use it.

IMG-1959

This Pretty Vulgar concealer blister pack is for me to test out. Then I’ll take a quiz on BoxyCharm’s website to let them know what my shade is.¬† That way, they can send foundations and concealers in the future.¬† That’s very exciting!

I’m really happy with my box this month!¬† I am most excited about the Farsali mist, the Kypris Serum and the Dominique Cosmetics palette (if I decide to keep it).¬† I will gift the lipstick and maybe the eye masks.

I am so excited for my December BoxyLuxe and BoxyCharm Premium boxes!

Do you get any BoxyCharm boxes?  What did you get this month?

Ipsy Glam Bag Plus Review — September 2019

IMG-1525

Hey all!¬†¬†It’s time for my September¬†Ipsy Glam Bag Plus review! This is a subscription box that will always include 5 full-sized items. And the items included are mostly luxe or higher end items. This is such a great value for the high quality items included.

I have pretty much enjoyed this subscription. I have been debating keeping it because a lot of times. Unless I get tired of it, I think I’ll keep it until at least the end of the year.

Here’s what I received for September:

IMG-1535

This is what I received in my main box:

Total — $138.¬† Pretty good for spending $25.¬† Last month my value was over $200, though…but I guess each month it varies.

I’m excited to try the Ciate powder.¬† I’m saving until I am out of my current powders.¬† I also am so happy about the Wander Beauty brow pencil because it’s in my shade!

I have tried the I Dew Care mask, but I don’t think I need a full sized one.

I also added on three products — the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara mini, Ofra Cosmetics MADISON MILLER Smiley for Riley Lip Gloss, and a full sized Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara.¬† I added on a mini of the Thrive mascara last month and LOVE it!¬† So when I saw that the full size was available this month, I had to get it!

Here’s close ups of the palettes I received:

IMG-1539

I do follow You Tuber Madison Miller, and I’m happy to have received this from her collab with Ofra.¬† This is really pretty.¬† I love the blush, but wonder if the highlighters will be too dark for my fair skin tone.¬† I’m going to try it and see.¬† Here’s swatches:

IMG-1540.JPG     The highlighter on the left may work.  If not, they will make pretty eye shadows.

IMG-1542IMG-1543

This is a really cool palette, but I don’t know if I will keep it.¬† It’s mostly shimmers, and I like a few more mattes in my palettes.¬† I will either give this as a Christmas gift or a part of my next Instagram giveaway.

———————————————————————————————————————————

I think this is a pretty good month.¬†I’ll use the face palette, the powder and the eyebrow pencil.¬† I will probably give the mask and palette away.¬† I am really happy with my add-ons. Next month, I’ll be trying Ipsy’s new subscription, Glam Bag Ultimate instead of Glam Bag Plus, so stay tuned for that review!

Do you get Ipsy Glam Bag Plus?  What did you get in your box this month? Are you going to try the Ultimate next month?

BoxyCharm BoxyLuxe Subscription Box Review — September 2019

IMG-1506.JPG

Hi all!¬†I received my September BoxyLuxe!¬† This is my fourth one. I’m so excited! I’ve been a subscriber of BoxyCharm for over two years. The regular BoxyCharm box is $21 a month.¬†BoxyLuxe is a¬†once-a-quarter¬†upgrade option you can add to your existing $21-a-month Boxycharm subscription. So for an additional $28.99, you‚Äôll get the Luxe items, and be paying a total of $49.99 for that quarterly box.

I saw the spoilers for this box, I just didn’t know what variations I would get.¬† I did get to pick some of the items I would receive, which I really liked.

The theme for this month is All Access. There’s a good mix of makeup, skincare and hair care this month.¬† Here’s what I received:

IMG_1485.JPG

Total — $317.95!¬† That’s so good for spending $49.99.

Here’s a closer look at the items I received:

IMG_1499

I’m not the biggest fan of sleeping masks because they can be heavy and sticky.¬† I’m not sure if I will keep this one or give it away.

The Pineapple-C Bright Serum was one of the items I chose.¬† I’m almost out of my current Vitamin C Serum so I’m excited to have a new one to try. I have tried this a couple of times already and it does give a nice glow.

IMG_1502

Everyone received the Mistress Hair Balm.¬† I’ve tried this and am enjoying it. It smooths my frizzies and leaves my hair soft and shiny.

I haven’t tried the curling iron yet.¬† This is an item I got to choose — it was between this and a brush set.¬† I’ve never tried a clipless curling iron before so I’m curious to see how it works.

IMG_1500

These two items were another variation I chose.  I have never tried an infuser water bottle before, so that will be interesting.  And, I love Spongelle products!

img_1501.jpg

Every charmer received the eyeliner in black and the lipstick in one of three shades.

I don’t wear liquid eyeliner, so I will pass this one along.¬† I love the lipstick shade. It will be pretty for fall.

IMG_1503IMG_1504

I know this palette has been around for a while.¬† It was a variation.¬† At first I wasn’t blown away by this, but I decided to keep it.¬† I’m recently starting to get into matte shadow looks and I like these shades a lot.¬† I think it will be perfect for fall.

I’m pretty happy with this box.¬† I will use almost every item.¬† The only products I probably won’t use is the eyeliner and the sleeping mask. As good as that is, I think the only item I am really thrilled about is the serum.¬† I really loved my June BoxyLuxe because I loved every item in the box.¬† I’m hoping I’m more excited about the December BoxyLuxe!

Do you get BoxyLuxe?  What did you get this month?

Ipsy Glam Bag Plus Review — August 2019

img-1320.jpg

Hey all!¬†¬†It’s time for my August¬†Ipsy Glam Bag Plus review! This is a subscription box that will always include 5 full-sized items. And the items included are mostly luxe or higher end items. This is such a great value for the high quality items included.

I have pretty much enjoyed this subscription. I usually only use a couple of the items I receive each month, and so I’ve been debating keeping it. Unless I get tired of it, I think I’ll keep it until at least the end of the year.

Here’s what I received for August:

IMG-1322

I realize this is a lot of products for an Ipsy Glam Bag Plus — I got three add-ons this month.¬† Those are the top three products and I’ll talk about them later.¬† Here’s what I received in my basic box:

Total — $204.50 — Wow! That’s an amazing value for a $25 box.

IMG-1326

They usually have a little booklet, but this month it was a fold out card.  It does give details of all of the products I received.

IMG-1325

The product of these three I’m most excited about is the Purlisse Blue Lotus Moisturizer. I am almost out of my current SPF moisturizer, so this came at a great time!

I have quite a few peel off masks I’m not using, so I will probably gift this one away.¬† I do want to try other products from Hey Honey.¬† It looks like a great brand.

I have been wanting to try the foundation.  The shade is Light which might be a little dark one me normally, but it might be a good summer shade.

IMG-1324

These brushes are gorgeous!¬† I’m excited to use them. From top to bottom is¬†10F Concealer, 65EM Mini Shading, 105E Pencil, 15E Angled Brow and 35EM Mini Tapered.

I LOVE the handles!¬† It’s like a mermaid icicle!¬† LOL!IMG-1328IMG-1329

I am so glad I received this gorgeous palette! I’ve used it a couple of times already and love it.¬† I’ve never tried a palette from TheBalm, I’ve only had a small sample of the Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter.¬† I was going to swatch it, but forgot, so I’ll do a palette review for it.IMG-1327

These are my three add-ons this month!¬† I usually don’t do add-ons, but these were $3 each and I have been wanting to try the Coco Cabana Cream and the Thrive Causemetics Mascara. So far, I am LOVING the mascara. It’s a fiber mascara so it doesn’t smudge.

I might try the gorgeous Pixi blush or I might save it for a giveaway…we’ll see!

————————————————————————————————————-

I’m really happy with this month! Last month’s box was also good, so I’m on a roll!

I’ll use the palette, the brushes and the moisturizer.¬† I might try out the foundation and will probably give the mask away.¬† I am also happy with my add-ons.

Do you get Ipsy Glam Bag Plus?  What did you get in your box this month?

Skincare Sunday — Julep Korean Skincare Made Simple Set

Hi all!  I hope everyone had a great weekend! Welcome to my second Skincare Sunday in a row!

I recently purchased a new Korean skincare set from Julep.  I used to be a Julep Maven, which was their monthly subscription box, but they cancelled it in February.

I received an email a month or so ago saying that they were having a final sale for Mavens.¬† ¬†I saw this set, and was really interested in it.¬† It was originally priced at $76 and it was marked down to $57, and I got 70% off so I only paid $17.10!¬† ¬†Here’s the set:

Julep Korean Skincare Made Simple

Set includes:

  • Travel Love Your Bare Face¬†Hydrating Cleansing Oil, 1.5 fl oz.
  • Kaolin Clay Konjac Sponge¬†(full size)
  • What Your Skin Needs¬†Restorative Facial Milk 1 fl. oz. (full size)
  • Night Shift¬†Deep Sleep Mask 1 oz.

Here’s photos of the box and the products I received:

IMG_1008IMG_1009IMG_1010IMG_1011

This is a great deal for $17.10!  I have tried the cleansing oil and the facial milk before and love both of them.  The cleansing oil removes all of my makeup and leaves my skin soft and clean.  The facial milk contains five oils in it, but because of the milky formula, it absorbs into the skin immediately.

I haven’t used a konjac sponge before and was surprised how soft it is. It gives a very gentle exfoliation.¬† The Night Shift sleep mask can be used over serums and treatments.¬† And it’s washed off in the morning.¬† I find it gives extra hydration, which is nice when my skin is dry.

This set is on sale now for $44.¬† It’s not the price I paid, but it is still a good deal for what you get.¬† I do recommend this set if you would like to try Korean beauty skincare for hydration.

Were you a Julep Maven?  Have you tried their products before?
