Morgan Taylor Lacquer Rocketman Summer 2019 Collection

Hi all! I hope your Monday is going well!

I received some fun products for my honest review from the Morgan Taylor Lacquer  Rocketman Summer 2019 Collection.  These beautiful brights polishes work so well with the fun new Elton John movie!

Morgan Taylor Rocketman

This adorable mini set is the Rocketman Nail Laquer Mini 4 Pack ($14.95 USD) — In celebration of Rocketman, the story of Elton John’s rise to fame. The collection features iconic shades complemented by Bedazzle Me, a luxe glitter overlay that gives each shade its own moment to sparkle and shine.

This mini pack:
It’s The Shades (hot pink crème)
Tickle My Keys (bright pink crème)
Sir Teal To You (teal shimmer)
Bedazzle Me (glitter overlay)

I love this little set!  It’s great for trying out the Morgan Taylor formula in a few different shades or just for a fun treat for yourself or a gift for someone who loves polish — and Elton John.

Here are the polishes in the collection:

Skincare Sunday — Julep Korean Skincare Made Simple Set

Hi all!  I hope everyone had a great weekend! Welcome to my second Skincare Sunday in a row!

I recently purchased a new Korean skincare set from Julep.  I used to be a Julep Maven, which was their monthly subscription box, but they cancelled it in February.

I received an email a month or so ago saying that they were having a final sale for Mavens.   I saw this set, and was really interested in it.  It was originally priced at $76 and it was marked down to $57, and I got 70% off so I only paid $17.10!   Here’s the set:

Julep Korean Skincare Made Simple

Set includes:

  • Travel Love Your Bare Face Hydrating Cleansing Oil, 1.5 fl oz.
  • Kaolin Clay Konjac Sponge (full size)
  • What Your Skin Needs Restorative Facial Milk 1 fl. oz. (full size)
  • Night Shift Deep Sleep Mask 1 oz.

Here’s photos of the box and the products I received:

IMG_1008IMG_1009IMG_1010IMG_1011

This is a great deal for $17.10!  I have tried the cleansing oil and the facial milk before and love both of them.  The cleansing oil removes all of my makeup and leaves my skin soft and clean.  The facial milk contains five oils in it, but because of the milky formula, it absorbs into the skin immediately.

I haven’t used a konjac sponge before and was surprised how soft it is. It gives a very gentle exfoliation.  The Night Shift sleep mask can be used over serums and treatments.  And it’s washed off in the morning.  I find it gives extra hydration, which is nice when my skin is dry.

This set is on sale now for $44.  It’s not the price I paid, but it is still a good deal for what you get.  I do recommend this set if you would like to try Korean beauty skincare for hydration.

Natasha Denona Sunrise Eyeshadow Palette Review

img_0972.jpg

Hi all! I hope you are having a great weekend!  I am, it’s storming right now in Kansas City, but I have a pretty new palette to play with, so that’s okay!

I bought myself a birthday gift — the Natasha Denona Sunrise Eyeshadow Palette ($65 USD). I’ve been wanting to try a Natasha Denona palette, but the normal sized ones are $129, and I can justify spending that much on eyeshadow.  $65 is still a lot, but it is half the price. I have heard that the quality of these shadows are amazing, so I was excited to try it out!

img_0974.jpg

Isn’t she gorgeous?!  The shades are:

  • Poppy (crimson bronze metallic)
  • Citrine (warm yellow matte)
  • Phlox (burnt warm crimson metallic)
  • Awakening (lavender nude duo-chrome)
  • Laurel (peachy champagne metallic)
  • Aster (violet mauve duo-chrome)
  • Glory (fuchsia matte)
  • Azalea (pink copper duo-chrome)
  • Morgan (pastel coral creamy matte)
  • Agate (champagne apricot metallic)
  • Clove (dark maroon creamy-matte)
  • Carnelian (burnt light orange creamy-matte)
  • Jasper (bright terracotta creamy-matte)
  • Morning (light apricot creamy-matte)
  • Day Spring (nude bronze metallic)

Here’s a close up of each side of the palette:

And here are the swatches:

IMG_0979

Top Row left to right — Poppy, Citrine, Phlox, Awakening and Laurel

All of these shimmers and metallics are gorgeous and so buttery!  I had to swatch Citrine twice.  It does blend out nicely, I just wanted a very bright swatch so you could see the color.  My favorite shade of this row is Awakening.  It’s a stunning duo chrome that is described as lavender nude.  It looks amazing all over the lid.IMG_0981

Second row left to right — Aster, Glory, Azalea, Morgan and Agate

My favorite shades in the row are Aster and Morgan.  Morgan is gorgeous in the crease as a transition shade with any of the other shadows in the palette.  It’s so versatile.  And Aster is just purpley goodness!IMG_0982

Third row left to right — Clove, Carnelian, Jasper, Morning and Day Spring

Such pretty warm shades!  Clove was the hardest shade to blend.  It’s a bit patchy.  but it is a nice color to deepen a look.  Day Spring is a beautiful bronze and is perfect for topping the oranges and yellows.

This palette was quite a splurge, but I’m so glad I got it.  The quality of the shadows are so luxe and blend very well.  I’m having fun creating bright looks for the summer.  I also think that this will work well in the fall, too!

Have you picked up the Sunrise palette or do you have a Natasha Denona palette?

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Collection!

IMG_E0961

Hi all!  I hope you are doing well and ready for the weekend.  I was sent these items from Urban Decay for my honest review.

Speaking of the weekend, The Urban Decay Heavy Metal Collection includes all of the fun, glittery products that are perfect for weekend festivals and of course, Pride! Create a gorgeous rainbow look, or duplicate the trans or pan flags!  There are so many fun looks to create.

Or, just wear these for every day.  A little glitter adds a lot of fun!

IMG_0965

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Gel ($22 USD) — The shades from left to right are Party Monster, Distortion, Saturday Stardust, Soul Love and Disco Daydream.  There is also a golden shade called Dreamland.

This super-pigmented, high-coverage formula suspends hyper-reflective glitter in a non-sticky, water-based gel. This can be used on eyes, body, and face.  It applies really easily, but when it dries, it dries down and stays for hours!  These are gorgeous and fun for the summer!IMG_0964

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner ($21 USD) — These have been around for a while, but they have come out with new shades.  From left to right — Disco Daydream, Starfire, Gunmetal, Stage Dive, Studio, Goldmine and Stonewall. There’s also a pinky/orange called Volume.

This eyeliner features superfine, multi-dimensional glitter in a clear, water-based formula that’s buildable, dries down quickly, and stays put for long wear without any fallout.

You can use the thin tip for an eyeliner.  I also love to use the side of the brush to sweep the sparkle all over my lids. It’s a pretty shadow topper.

Plus, 25% of the purchase price from the limited-edition Stonewall* shade will benefit Stonewall Community Foundation—an organization that strengthens the LGBTQIA+ community through grantmaking and scholarship programs.  So important!

IMG_0962

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil ($22 USD) — This is a bestselling product, and there are 4 new shades!  From top to bottom is Wild Side, Roxy Electric Empire and Viper.

This eyeliner goes on smoothly, stays soft and super-creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries to a long-lasting finish that won’t budge. Line your eyes with a hint of color or opt for a graphic, dramatic look.

Created with 50 percent moisturizing ingredients suspended in a waterproof formula, 24/7 Eye Pencil gets a boost from vitamin E, jojoba oil, and cottonseed oil. IMG_0963

Urban Decay HI-FI SHINE Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss ($20 USD) From left to right Hot Love, Star Stunner, Disco Queen and Wildside.

These are new and very sparkly additions to this lip gloss line. Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss glides on cushiony-soft and leaves lips feeling comfy and plush without any stickiness. Laced with vitamin E and peppermint oil, the hydrating formula leaves lips feeling nourished, creates the look of fuller, plumper lips, and comes in a fresh vanilla-mint flavor.

I have a couple of these in cream and sheer formulas, so it was fun to try these shimmery ones!

Here’s a swatches of one shade of each product:

IMG-0991

These are the Glitter Gel in Distortion, the Liquid Liner in Stonewall, the 24/7 Eyeliner in Roxy and the Lip Gloss in Wildside.  And yes, the glitter gels are as gorgeous in person as the swatch!

All of these products are fun to use and gorgeous on!  And the eye products are all very long lasting, which is the norm for Urban Decay!

Have you picked up anything from the Urban Decay Heavy Metal collection? Is anything speaking to you???

Allure Beauty Box June 2019

IMG_0585

Hi all!  I just received my June Allure Beauty Box.  The Allure Beauty Box is $15 a month.  And you receive deluxe and some full size products.  Not bad!

Here’s the June box:

IMG_0967.JPG

I think this is a pretty good box.  I have already used the Moroccanoil and the Avene mist.  They are both wonderful products.

I am also going to be trying out the eye cream.  I haven’t tried anything from the brand Context before, but I am looking forward to using it.

I will probably also try the Floss lip gloss. Or I might give it away.  And the BrowGal pencil is in Medium Brown and I have dark brown hair.  I might give it a try.

The SGX NYC texture spray looks fun, but I might pass it along.

This is such an affordable box and it always introduces me to new brands, which I like!  For the price, I use a good amount of the products and give away some.  I do enjoy it!

Do you get Allure?  Did you get the same products this month?

Skincare Sunday — Meaningful Beauty New Eye Masks and Deluxe Starter Kit

Hi All!  I started this series a couple of months ago and only posted once.  Oh well! I still think focusing on new or amazing skincare products each week is a great idea!

This Sunday I’m featuring Meaningful Beauty.  This is Cindy Crawford’s skincare brand (with French anti-aging specialist Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh).  I have reviewed Meaningful Beauty before, but they have new eye masks and a fun travel size kit that will be amazing for summer trips!

Here is what I received for my honest review:

Meaningful Beauty Revive & Brighten Eye Masques

Meaningful Beauty Revive & Brighten Eye Masques ($52 USD) –This new product claims:

  • Awaken eyes to appear more youthful and gorgeous with Meaningful Beauty‘s Revive & Brighten Eye Masque – ultra-hydrating gel eye patches.
  • Each pair is infused with powerful anti-aging ingredients to visibly smooth and plump eyes – and can also be used on smile and frown lines!
  • Cindy’s supermodel secret: Use daily or as a quick pick-me-up when on the go.

What I think: I don’t usually wear eye gel masks, but I am really enjoying these! They can be worn right under the eyes, at the side of the eyes where crows feet form or even on the smile lines. I find that they firm and brighten wherever I place them, especially under my eyes. Plus, they come with a spatula to make them easy to get out of the jar.  They are a bit slippery, so I press them on to make sure that they stay on the full 10 minutes.

Available at Ulta.com

Meaningful Beauty Deluxe Starter Kit
Meaningful Beauty 7-Piece Deluxe Starter Kit

Meaningful Beauty 7-Piece Deluxe Starter Kit ($79 USD) — This kit targets the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles and dark spots. This comprehensive kit is packed with everything you need day and night for ageless, beautiful skin in every climate or vacation destination.

  • The Meaningful Beauty 7-Piece Deluxe Starter Kit includes:

    • Youth Activating Melon Serum
    • Environmental Protecting Moisturizer SPF 30
    • Overnight Retinol Repairing Crème
    • Lifting Eye Crème
    • Ultra-Lifting and Filling Treatment

What I think:  This is a great set to try a variety of Meaninful Beauty products and it’s so  nice for travel! My current favorite product in the bunch is the Dark Spot Correctly Treatment.  I apply it on dark spots at night and they fade a bit each morning. I also love the Melon Serum, Overnight Retinol cream and the eye cream.  This is such a beautiful anti-aging line!
