Brand Review — RAD Soap Co.

Hi all!  I’m back with a sweet-smelling brand review!

RAD Soap Co. is a natural skincare line made fresh in Upstate New York and inspired by hemp beauty. Using their RAD proprietary process and main ingredient hemp with botanical extracts to create the world’s best bar of soap.

IMG_1050

The two soaps I have received for review are:

Moon Rock Body Bar — A Rad body bar infused with Activated Charcoal and Black Currant Oil to fight troublesome skin for a flawless complexion.

Toke Natural Body Bar — A Rad body bar infused with Hemp Seed Oil and the ultimate hippie’s scent of Sandalwood and Vanilla.

What I think: These both smell amazing!  The Moon Rock bar is great for the summer.  My skin gets oilier, and breakouts do happen on my body.  This really helps.  Plus, I love the scent!

The Toke Bar has a more natural scent — very hippie friendly!  LOL!  It’s very nice to keep in the bath as well.

RAD has also just launched their new bar soap club subscription. You can get one bar for $10, two bars for $20 and three bars for $25.  Each box also includes two mystery gifts.  You can also choose to have it delivered every one, two or three months.  And finally, you can choose your soaps.  So it’s very customizable.

Check it all out at http://www.radsoap.com

Shop My Stash June 2019 Results and Monthly Empties

IMG_E0886

Hi All!  I’m back with my JuneShop My Stash results!  I enjoy dipping into my collection and using products I haven’t used in a long time, or just haven’t given much of a chance.

My rule with this is if I don’t like the item after the month, I will move it out of my collection to make some room and let someone else enjoy it!

You can check out my first Shop My Stash post for June. Here’s a photo with the palettes open:

IMG_E0887

My allergies were much better in June, so I have been wearing eye makeup again!  My most used of the two palettes was the ABH Soft Glam. Every time I use it I remember how gorgeous it is!  They blend so well.

I also used the Too Faced Festival palette a few times.  I love the peaches and purple shades.  I also wore the green shade a lot. The shimmer shades in the palette are so pretty!

It’s sad to say that I only used the ColourPop The Twins pigment once — on my birthday!  I usually like to use palettes for complete looks.  It is very pretty though.

The PixiGlow palette got lots of use.  I used it for bronzer, blush and highlight by dipping into the corresponding parts of it.

I am keeping all of these products except for the ColourPop So Juicy lip gloss.  It is so sticky, that I don’t really enjoy using it.  I’ll see if my daughter wants it.

On to my June empties:

unnamed

I had a lot of empties this month!  Mostly skincare, as always! I enjoyed all of these products.

I would repurchase every one of these products except for maybe the CO Bigelow hand soap, because it was very creamy and hard to rinse off.  I loved all of the other products!

The CoverFX primer filled my pores completely.  Another favorite would be the GM Collin serum, it is so hydrating.

This was a successful Shop My Stash!  I used all of the products at least once, and enjoyed discovering them again!

Davines SU Collection For After Sun Body and Hair Care.

Hi all! I hope you are having a great weekend!  I did some shopping, so my day is going great!

Today I’m reviewing some relaunched products from Davines, Their summer SU Collection. The SU family of products is a complete routine to protect your hair and skin before and after sun exposure.

I received the entire collection for my honest review.  Here’s what I received:

IMG_0899Davines SU Hair and Body Wash ($24 USD) — A multi-benefit shampoo that moisturizes and protects hair and skin exposed to the sun. Its formula, characterized by a rich full-bodied foam, gently cleanses and hydrates.

What I think: I have used this for my hair and skin. It cleanses my hair well, while hydrating it, plus it leaves my skin soft, too!  I love that this is a multi-tasker.  I’ll be using this all summer!

SU Hair Mask ($27.50 USD) — Restorative and hydrating anti-aging treatment for hair damaged by the sun, chlorine and salt. Hair is left soft, hydrated, and glossy.

What I think: I love to use this after the hair and body wash. It’s so creamy!  I apply this after shampooing and just leave it on a couple of minutes to use it as a conditioner.  If my hair has been exposed to the sun, I leave it on longer.  My hair is so soft and healthy when I use this mask.  Love it!

SU Aftersun ($29 USD) — A soothing, mineral-rich gel that moisturizes and restores the skin’s hydration level after exposure to the sun. With extract of Chinotto from a Slow Food Presidium and extract of Aloe Vera, it is rich in minerals and substances with a soothing action that, together with Argan oil, ensure hydration and nourishment.

What I think: This is a wonderful creamy gel moisturizer for after sun. My daughter went to a theme park last week and got sunburned despite wearing SPF all day.  She said she repeatedly applied it (but she’s a teenager, so who knows.  LOL!). This moisturizer really helped soothe her burnt skin and in a few days it was a nice tan and not painful anymore.  Even if we don’t get a sunburn, this is nice for after a day in the sun.

SU Hair Milk ($29 USD) — Leave-on spray cream for hair, ideal both during and after exposure to the sun. Protective filters maintain the hair’s integrity during exposure to the sun, and the light texture conditions the hair without weighing it down.

What I think: I have been using this as leave-in moisturizer after I wash my hair. It helps with hydration and makes my hair so manageable.  I also spray it on before I go out to protect my hair.  It doesn’t weight it down.

Also, the scent for all of these is very soft.  It’s hard to describe, it’s part floral and part baby care scent.  It’s really nice.

I recommend all of these products for the summer months and beyond.

The product line is developed using finest natural ingredients.

On to the review!

img_0880.jpg

L&I Apothecary Arista Pumpkin, Mild Peel/Facial Mask ($21 USD) — This mask is made with pumpkin and has Vitamin C and Vitamin E, plus the ingredients are organic. It also contains -5% Glycolic Acid. The claim is that it leaves skin feeling brightened, replenished and renewed.

I enjoy using this mask. It smells like fresh pumpkin!  I apply it after I clean my skin and leave it on for 5 minutes and rinse it off.  It leaves my skin smooth and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I have used this a few times and can see myself using it a few times each week.  It’s difficult for me to find a good brightening mask that doesn’t irritate my skin.  This one is a winner!

L&I Apothecary Rose Facial Toner ($23 USD) —  This is an amazing facial toner spray!  This claims to hydrate the skin, give it a glow and brighten it up.  It has a fresh rose scent.

I love using a rose spray after cleansing and toning my skin in the morning.  This one is also a toner, so I can spray it on after I cleanse, and my skin is refreshed and glowing.  I also use it to freshen my skin during the day.  It’s nice over makeup or bare skin.

The Henna Guys Pre Shave Oil – Geranium & Lavender ($12.95 USD) — This is a moisturizing Pre shave Oil, mildly scented with geranium & lavender essential oil. It contains Grapeseed, Avocado, Argan & Marula Oil.

First of all, this smells amazing — so fresh and clean. To use it, I take a few drops of oil, massage it on the shaving area to prepare for the shave.  Then I use shave cream or soap and lather it, then I shave.  I get a very close shave and my skin isn’t irritated.  So smooth!

I am really enjoying these products. I love all of the amazing ingredients and the fact that all of the products work well and have fresh, delicious scents!

Purchase these at http://www.lniapothecary.com and http://www.thehennaguys.com Plus, I have a (non-affiliate) coupon code for these websites — FORTYFLIRTYFAB10 for 10% off your entire order!

Shop My Stash May 2019 Results and Monthly Empties

IMG_0637

Hi All!  I’m back with my May Shop My Stash results!  I enjoy dipping into my collection and using products I haven’t used in a long time, or just haven’t given much of a chance.

My rule with this is if I don’t like the item after the month, I will move it out of my collection to make some room and let someone else enjoy it!

You can check out my first Shop My Stash post for May. Here’s a photo with the palettes open:

IMG_0639

I continued my allergy issues this month, and didn’t wear as much eye makeup as I would have liked to.  So my number one used product was the Smashbox Cali Contour palette!

I love this palette!  Especially the bronzer and powder shades.  I also used the lighter highlight and the blush a lot.  This is such a great product to complete my face makeup.  If I take a trip this year, I’ll take it with me!

Towards the end of the month, my allergies are getting better.  So I did get to wear my eyeshadows.  I would say I wore the BH Festival palette the most.  It has such a variety of colors and I was able to create colorful looks and neutral looks with it.  I also used most of the shades on the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault Armed and Gorgeous palette.  It’s a nice palette, but the metallics aren’t as buttery as the BH Cosmetics ones.  I am going to keep all three of these palettes.

I didn’t wear the lipstick or eyeliner as much as the other products.  I found that I didn’t care for the lipstick.  I don’t wear this type of shade that much and it kind of feels drying on my lips.  I am going to re-home it.  The eyeliner is a great formula, but I don’t wear eyeliner that often.  I am going to keep it, though.  It’s such a pretty shade.

This was a pretty successful month!

On to my May empties:

IMG_0875I had a lot of empties this month!  I used up makeup wipes by IT Cosmetics and Ariul, a Korean Beauty brand I found at CVS.  They were both nice.  I used them mostly for removing swatches. I might purchase them again.  I actually think I might to a K Beauty haul this summer at CVS and maybe Ulta.

The Merle Norman cleanser is like a scrub.  It is such a nice exfoliator.  I have a lot of cleansers in my stash, but I might repurchase this eventually.

Same with the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.  I might re-purchase it once I go through the creams that I have.  It’s so hydrating!  The Your Good Skin day cream was oily on my skin, so I won’t re-purchase it.

I loved the Nanacoco Outlash mascara!  I have a bunch of new mascaras waiting to be used, but I would buy this again.

I love the Jergens Wet Skin gradual tanner.  I need to either pick this up or the original formula.    The C.O. Bigelow body wash was nice, but I don’t know if I will pick it up again.

CBD Living — Anti-Aging Products Review

Hi all!  I hope your long weekend is going well!

I have recently received more wonderful products from CBD Living for my honest review.  I received some of their products in March and featured them here.

The products below are to help fight chronic pain associated with aging.  And they smell amazing, too.  They are:

IMG_0781

CBD Living Matcha Instant Green Tea ($30 USD) — This is a new product to me. This is a convenient, delicious way to enjoy a daily dose of CBD. Each serving of Matcha Instant Green Tea is infused with 7.5mg of nano-CBD for maximum bioavailability. One 2oz. package of Matcha Instant Green Tea contains 150mg of CBD. Each individual serving of tea contains 7.5mg of CBD.

This is nice to drink alone if you like matcha. I like to add it to smoothies.

CBD Living Bath Bombs ($14 each) in Amber Bergamot and Eucalyptus.  I have tried this before in Coconut Lime.  I loved that one and like these too! They are fast fizzers and have really nice scents.  They leave my skin soft and I am relaxed with lesser pain when I use  these!

Each CBD Bath Bomb is vegan-friendly and contains 60mg of CBD per 8 oz. bath bomb. Bath Bombs are made from natural ingredients and will not stain your bathtub.

CBD Living Lotion ($30 USD) in Lavender.  I also have this in Eucalyptus. It’s a rich lotion that helps treat dry skin while getting a daily CBD dose. It is made from the finest natural ingredients and is infused with nano-CBD for maximum absorption.

CBD Lotion is absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream, providing your daily dose of CBD. It is great for relaxing after a long day or invigorating the senses and treating dry skin.

CBD Living Freeze ($30 USD) This is also a new product to me. CBD Living Freeze is great for sore muscles, arthritis, chronic pain and stiffness. The roll-on applicator makes getting relief simple. I have used it on my back and have found that it does relieve pain.

CBD Living Freeze is infused with 120mg of full-spectrum CBD per 88mL bottle. When applied, CBD freeze mimics the application of ice, increasing blood flow to the affected area. It is helpful for sore muscles, chronic pain, inflammation and sore joints.
This CBD Living Freeze also incorporates other natural anti-inflammatories such as Arnica and Tea Tree Oil.

I really love this brand!  I feel that the products are really high quality and are enjoyable to use.  Plus, they do make me feel better!  You can purchase these and more products from CBD Living at cbdliving.com.
