Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Haul

Hi all! Happy Wednesday!  I hope your week is going well and that you are staying safe.

Today I have a little Ulta Haul.  I purchased a couple of things from the current 21 Days of Beauty sale and a few other fun products.  I’m not purchasing as much from the sale as I usually do.  It’s because honestly I don’t need a lot of makeup and I’m trying to use some up.

I haven’t done a lot of hauls this year, so it’s exciting to get some new makeup!  Here’s more information on the items I picked up:

IMG-3188

From the sale I got the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown and the MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Face Powder in Light. I haven’t tried either of these before, so I’m excited to test them out!

Here’s a close up of the powder:

IMG-3195

This is a slow-baked domed face powder with low-level pearlized pigments that provide a dimensional yet natural-satin finish. Can be used to set foundation and to touch-up makeup throughout the day.

I’m really loving this so far. It sets my makeup without leaving my skin looking dry or cakey.

IMG-3183

I finally picked up an Elf Cosmetics Bite Size Eyeshadow Palette in Rose Water. These are so cute! I love the pink tones in this cute little guy.  Here’s swatches:

IMG-3193

I really like both shimmers.  The mattes are nice, too!  I want to pick up a couple more of these, but the shades I want are often out of stock.  I’ll wait — they are only $3 each!

IMG-3189

I saw that a YouTuber I like, Emily Noel, purchased the EcoTools Scented Soap Roses and they looked so pretty that I had to pick them up. They smell so nice!

I am a big fan of the Yes To facial wipes, so I wanted to try out the Watermelon Super Fresh ones. They smell amazing, too!

Have you picked up anything from the sale or are you planning on getting anything?

Ulta Beauty Spring Haul 2019 Week 2

Hi all!  I hope you’re having a great weekend!  The fam and I went to see the Avengers Endgame today.  It was three hours of action and emotion!  So good!

Last weekend, I shared my first weeks haul here.  Ulta Beauty has a drugstore beauty sale two weeks each spring after the 21 Days of Beauty.   Each week had new sales.  This is what I purchased the second week:

img_0621-e1556407009233.jpg

Tree Hut Firming Sugar Scrub Mocha and Coffee Bean

The Body Shop Banana Body Yogurt

Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes

EcoTools Full Powder Brush

Juvia’s Place The Warrior Eyeshadow Palette

ULTA Watermelon Facial Mist

e.l.f. Cosmetics 16HR Camo Concealer (Light Beige (light with golden beige undertone))

L.A. Girl Shady Slim Brow Pencil (Espresso)

L.A. Girl Ultimate Lip Intense Wear Auto Lipliner (Forever Bare)

FLOWER Beauty Petal Pout Lip Mask (Smooch (petal pink))

Not pictured — Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter (Pearl) — It shipped separately, and I haven’t received it yet.

I got everything from 30 – 50% off, which is really great deals!   The only product that was not on sale was the e.l.f. concealer.  But, it is only $5 and I really wanted to try it!

IMG_0625IMG_0626

My most exciting purchase is the Warrior Palette By Juvia’s Place.  I’ve been wanting to try one of their palettes, but some of the color combos confuse me.  This is a neutral palette that is very easy to use and is a safe way for me to try out the formula.  I have done a look with the palette that was so pretty, and I swatched them (see below).  The mattes didn’t swatch as well as the amazing metallics, but they worked well on the eyes.

IMG_0628

So gorgeous!  I am looking forward to playing with this more!

IMG_0622

These are the rest of the color cosmetics I purchased.  I have been searching for an affordable, but awesome concealer.  So far I like this one.  The Flower beauty gloss/mask is very pretty.  I always needs a light lip pencil, and this one is such a pretty shade.  My only miss is the eye brow pencil.  I LOVE the L.A. Girl formula.  I received a free one of this in a GWP I got with last years sale.  The shade has worn off, so I purchased it in Espresso, but I think the one I have is a darker color.  My brows are almost black, so this is a bit light and warm for me.

IMG_0624

Here are swathces of thecolor cosmetics.  The lippies are perfect, the eyebrow pencil a little light, and I think the concealer is a little yellow for me.  But I will still try out the formula!

Let me know if you would like me to review any of this!  I will probably do a Review of some of these and my 21 Days of Beauty Haul.

Did you purchase anything from the sale?  Or are you going to shop the Sephora VIB sale?  I’m a bit broke, so I don’t know if I will pick anything up.

All of the products in Clark’s Botanicals (www.clarksbotanicals.com) feature Jasmine Absolute, a precious essential oil derived from nocturnally blooming flowers. Genuinely natural from head to toe, the Davines Authentic Collection ($26-46 at www.davines.com for salon locations) contains the first and only hair care products designed not only for hair, but also face and body. Gentle enough for even the most delicate skin and effective enough to thoroughly cleanse and condition hair, the breakthrough Authentic collection features 98% to 100% naturally-derived ingredients. The four-product collection trades in synthetics like SLS, SLES, sulfates, parabens, artificial colors, silicons, mineral oils, PEG and etoxilates for sustainable formulations including biodegradable surfactants and organically cultivated actives like shea butter and sesame, jojoba, sunflower and carthame oils.

Other great brands to check out are Josie Maran, tarte and Korres for makeup, Jurlique for skin, Phyto for hair and Pacifica for fragrance — all available at Sephora. And of course ecoTOOLS for makeup brushes and bags. Enjoy shopping green!

New Bath and Body Products from EcoTools

This spring EcoTools launched additions to their bath and body line. The products include a recycled plastic bath sponge, new body scrub, body butter and body mists.

The EcoPouf ($1.99) is the first recycled bath sponge, which is a great thing for the environment, as well as our bodies! It is so affordable plus you can support sustainablity the easy way. It is also generously sized and will last through many showers.

I also tried the brand-new Replenish Your Natural Resources Body Butter ($5.99). This extra creamy body butter is wonderful on both sun-ravaged or dry winter skin. It is enriched with mango butter to replenish and hydrate. It is scented with lavender and vanilla and is 98% natural.

Visit www.eco-tools.com to learn more and you can purchase these products at fine drugstores, and some of my favorite stores such as Target and Ulta. Enjoy!

Fab New Products and Tips from ecoTOOLS

ecoTOOLS, my favorite makeup brush brand, is introducing brand-new brushes this February. Plus, they have teamed up with celebrity makeup artist Meredith Baraf to bring  products and pointers needed to create a professionally pretty face.   On February 1, ecoTOOLS officially launches four instructional videos on www.eco-tools.com so women everywhere can redefine and re-tool to become a total beauty know-it-all.   The instructional videos offer tutorials for the following looks:

A cunning cat-eye (http://bit.ly/6YbhaA)
A flawless face (http://bit.ly/7tAOpQ)
A sultry smoky eye (http://bit.ly/6RSnR5)
A touched-up face for day to night (http://bit.ly/5wEmqw)

Their cool new tools to help achieve these looks are the ecoTOOLS 6 Piece Eye Brush Set ($7.99 USD) and ecoTOOLS Bronzer Brush ($9.99 USD).

The 6 Piece Eye Brush Set includes a large eye shadow brush, angled crease brush, petite eye shading brush, domed highlighting brush, smudge brush and a compact travel cosmetic case with a mirror. Each brush is printed with its name to ensure proper usage with every application. This is a great set at an amazing price! Like all ecoTOOLS brushes, this kit features highly sustainable bamboo handles, 100% cruelty-free, soft taklon bristles, recycled aluminum ferrules plus it the case is made with natural cotton and hemp. Green girls rejoice! I also really love these brushes because it has choices to create many different looks such as the cat-eye and smoky eye in the videos.

The brand new ecoTOOLS Bronzer Brush ($9.99) is a solid and luxurious brush to apply the perfect glow with. The thick bristles are very soft and they make it easy to apply enough product for a sun-kissed look. I also like to use it to apply powdered highlighter on my cheekbones and forehead.

Visit www.eco-tools.com to learn more about the brushes that are available at drugstores near you, plus check out the cool, short-but-informative videos. Enjoy!

ecoTOOLS by Alica Silverstone’s Great New Makeup Bags

ecoTOOLS by Alicia Silverstone

ecoTOOLS, the creator of my favorite makeup brushes, has collaborated with actress and environmental activist Alicia Silverstone to produce a brand-new cosmetic bag collection, ecoTOOLS™ by Alicia Silverstone.

This collection is launching this month, December 2009, at Walgreens and Target stores.  The line includes a complete set of five cosmetic bags, ranging from a brush bag with a brush set to an overnight bag.  Each bag is produced with a natural hemp material and uses a recycled PET lining.

The description of each product follows:

ecoTOOLS™ by Alicia Silverstone 5 Piece Brush Set and Bag ($15.99 USD): This limited edition brush set and bag features four of Alicia’s must-have brushes and directions to help you create her natural look. One of Alicia’s favorite brushes is the Finishing Brush, a feathery soft brush that gives a flawless finish. Also included in the set are the ecoTOOLS™ Blush Brush, Angled Eye Shadow Brush, and Lash & Brow Groomer. The packaging of the set is made from 30% post-consumer recycled content.

ecoTOOLS™ by Alicia Silverstone Cosmetic Brush Bag ($12.99 USD): Perfect for tossing in a purse for touch-ups throughout the day, this cosmetic brush bag also contains a limited edition blush brush. It is large enough for additional cosmetic storage and has a separate compartment for your brushes in order to keep them clean. A great addition to the collection, the brush bag and brush will carry you from day to night, seamlessly.

ecoTOOLS™ by Alicia Silverstone Train Case ($14.99 USD): Designed with convenience in mind, the Train Case has a handy zip top, allowing for easy access and organization. With a clear removable compartment inside, you can keep organized anywhere — whether you’re on vacation, or sitting at your own vanity!

ecoTOOLS™ by Alicia Silverstone Overnight Bag ($19.99 USD): This large bag is sturdy and durable and features easy-to-grip handles that make it ideal for travel. The two interior compartments are removable and versatile to help keep contents clean and tidy.

ecoTOOLS™ by Alicia Silverstone Cosmetic Bag ($8.99 USD): A staple in any makeup bag collection, this compact case is perfectly sized to fit all the essentials, and is great for the girl-on-the-go. The feminine floral design stands out in any handbag, making it easy to find for quick touch ups.

These bags are all very pretty and the lining makes them durable and luxurious at the same time. Just because these are made of natural and recycled materials, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t fabulous: like everything else ecoTOOLS makes, they are! And the prices are right for giving and receiving. I am using the Train case to store my makeup in my bedroom and it is as pretty as it is functional!

Visit www.eco-tools.com for a full list of retailers and products.

ecoTOOLS Creams Keep Hands and Feet Soft!

I love the ecoTools’s Bath and Body collection. Not only are all of the products 98% natural and paraben, phthalate and cruelty free; they also are packaged in  recyclable bottles and the ingredients are biodegradable and dermatologist, allergy and clinically tested.

I have recently tried a couple more of these products including the One Hand Helps the Other Intensive Hand Cream ($7.99). This jojoba oil formula, not only makes my dry hands incredibly soft, I think it smells fantastic! The scent is a bit strong, so if there is someone in the next cubicle to you at work who is scent sensitive — leave it at home!

The Love Heels All Intensive Heel Cream ($7.99) is also very nice, but it is a thicker formula than the hand cream. This is very moisturizing and will help cracked winter feet. This scent is minty and also very nice. This cream contains repairing natural butters to soften dry feet and hands.
