Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of November 10 — 16, 2014

It’s so cold outside in Kansas City…brrr! I try not to go outside in the cold air, but when I do, I can feel my face and lips cracking from the freezing air! So dry!

So, this week I’m loving products that will help my dry and chapped skin. I have been testing great skin care, lip balms and body products to help me for what I hope is not too cold a winter.

My faves are:

What I think: Such an amazing natural toner. I love the fresh scent of this and the fact that it doesn’t dry out my skin at all. My skin is softer after using, which is rare from a toner. I highly recommend this product!

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of October 20-26, 2014

It’s Fall…I guess. It’s 85 degrees in Kansas City today. Hot! It is supposed to cool down in a couple of days. I hope so, I’d love to be wearing my fall clothes.

Lately, I have been sent so many fabulous products to test. Below are 5 of my favorites — A refreshing toner, an excellent body butter, a firming neck cream, a natural deodorant and a very cool curling tool.

Korres Pomegranate Toner ($22 USD) — This toner gently exfoliates to remove excess oil and dirt from skin, imparting a tighter, smoother, and more matte finish while helping to reduce redness. What I think: Easily my favorite body cream or lotion at the moment. The texture is light and fluffy like whipped cream, but when I apply it, it sinks right into my skin and leaves it so soft! Plus, it’s not greasy at all. The scent is very clean. LOVE! The whipped shea collection also includes a foaming body was ($20 USD) and a travel sized hand cream ($12 USD).

What I think: I have been wanting to try this since it came out! It looked so cool. And it really is! I have used it on my shoulder-length hair and my daughter’s long hair and it works really well. It take a little practice to position it correctly and to use the correct amount of hair, but once I got it, it was fast and easy! And the curls looked great!

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of July 21th

We have had a pretty hot week here in Kansas City, but it is finally cooling down a little, yay! I am still trying out new summer products to help me with the heat.

This week, I have been enjoying a facial cleansing oil, a gorgeous makeup up palette inspired by a new film, a refillable brush for my favorite powders, natural dental hygiene products, crunchy dried fruit snacks, and a cooling face cream.

What I think: I’m loving this cool line of dental hygiene products. They currently have mouthwash, toothpaste and breath spray in Pink Grapefruit mint, Mojito Mint and Supermint. I like all three flavors — they are like nothing I have tried before! I love that they are natural, and not too strong. LOVE!

Hot weather does such weird things to my skin. It has been so humid in Kansas City that when I walk outside, I sweat (gross, I know) and it makes my skin oily. But exposure to the sun, even with SPF, can also leave my skin dry. So my skin needs a lot of tlc in the summer!

I was sent the following products for my hones review, and I’m glad I was because I really need them!

What I think: I like this deodorant, it works so much better for me than I thought it might. I usually need the heavy-duty clinical strength deodorant. This keeps me dry, which is amazing, but my natural odor does start to mingle with the deodorant after a few hours. Which isn’t bad, but I don’t like to smell at all. I can see using this on the weekends when I want to take a break from the clinical deodorant.
