My Beauty Favorites — Week of April 3 – 9, 2017

It is warm and sunny today in Kansas City! I’m happy that spring is here and that it isn’t raining for a minute!

My faves this week include a shimmery illuminator, a body was infused with beer, and hair products that give volume.

What I think: First of all, the compact is gorgeous! The jewels in the compact are really pretty. When it’s opened, the compact has a plastic cover to keep the cream protected. The cream it’s gives a nice shimmer to the cheekbones, under the eyebrow, or wherever I need a glow.

What I think: A great way to get volume, tilt hair away from head and spray the Pronto spray from roots to ends. The Pronto powder works well on separated sections of hair, lightly squeeze onto the root of each section and massage into scalp for mega volume at roots. The Teasing Dust can be sprinkled directly onto roots in wide section of hair from the front of the head. For added texture, work product through hands, then rake through hair. These are lots of ways to created lots of volume in flat hair!

Deeply moisturizes and nourishes skin, featuring Coconut Seed Butter and Coconut Oil. Sunflower Seed and Lemon Peel oil to help soften and condition. Travel/TSA friendly. Formulated without Parabens, Mineral Oils, and Pthalates. This is such an original moisturizer. I apply on dry areas of my body like elbows and knees and rub in to hydrate. Very different!

Hair Care To Help Keep Hair Smooth Through Rain and Humidity!

My hair has been all sorts of ugly lately! Frizzy, dry and limp, kind of a mixture of the worse elements from winter and spring weather!

The products below have really helped my hair get into better shape no, which I need because Kansas City is always so humid in the summer!

Eprouvage Replenishing Leave-In Conditioner ($18 USD) — Daily conditioning spray targets weakened areas of the hair shaft making it stronger and smoother and evens out the porosity of the hair. What I think: I love using leave in conditioner, especially to the ends of my hair to add manageability. This one is also good for the scalp, so I can use it all over without weighing my hair down. It is a very light spray.

What I think: First of all, I love the scent of Jasmine and currently don’t have any hair products with that scent so I am loving it! The glossing creme is so nice on wet or dry hair. It really helps smooth my hair. To really elliminate the frizz, adding the oil serum to wet or dry hair keeps my hair shiny and frizz-free all day.

I downloaded the app on my Iphone and it’s really fun to use. The first time I tried, I didn’t get it right (couldn’t figure out how to turn my camera facing me in the app, LOL). My first color match was Ebony, which is very dark and I am fair! So, I figured out how to do it correctly, and was matched with Calico, a color that does work for me! The blush and lipstick the app recommended were colors I love to use, too!

It has been a rainy spring week in Kansas City. We had a really dry winter, so I guess this is okay. But, I am looking forward to warm, sunny days!

This smells amazing! Clean like Pure Grace, but it really smells like you’re at the beach. Since I moved from Oregon to the mid-west years ago, I don’t get to the beach as often, but this smells like I’m there!
