SinfulColors Kylie Jenner King Kylie Collection Review

I have been loving SinfulColors lately.  They offer gorgeous polishes at an affordable price. And they have just released a collaboration with Kylie Jenner.

These highly curated, trend collections will be on shelves for a limited-time only, from March 1 –August 31st 2016. Individual collections will debut at select mass market retail partners nationwide, beginning with the King Kylie SinfulShine Collection, twenty luxurious shades of exquisite jewel tones offset by decadent neutrals and precious metals, as well as a top coat. This sinfully spectacular collection is fit for a king.

“I am so excited to be working with SinfulColors on my own nail color collections! I’ve taken all the colors and trends I love for these limited-edition sets.  I love being creative with my nails and sharing my artistic choices with my fans. With this collection with SinfulColors, I’ll be able to offer my fans the polish they need to get my favorite styles at an affordable price. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve done,” remarks Kylie.

“Kylie is internationally recognized as a leading influencer and trendsetter in beauty and fashion, and recognized for making a statement in nail. Our loyalists rely on our colors to make a statement. We are thrilled to collaborate with Kylie, and are excited to introduce these new collections, unlike anything else on the market,” comments Blake Decker, Head of Marketing, SinfulColors.

The SinfulColors Kylie Jenner Collection will be available at retailers throughout the U.S., and globally, including Walmart, , Walgreens, Target and others.  A full list of retailers is available on the SinfulColors website, Suggested retail price of polishes and topcoat: $2.99.

I received a sampling of the greys and nudes in this collection.  Here are swatches:

Slay Grey is a shimmery grey.  Very light and pretty!  Knight Out is a metallic steel grey. Da New Black is sparkly black that reads like a very dark grey.  All of these are really cool!

Kommado is a sparkling nude. Karamel is a warm nude shimmer.  Kafe Latte is a rose gold chrome.  I love all of these.  They are really fresh for Spring!

SinfulColors Shamrock Out Collection

Shamrock Out Collection

Happy March!  I am so looking forward to Spring.  Spring makes me think of green, which of course reminds me of St. Patrick’s Day!

It’s fashionable to go green – and gold!  Fancy up your mani this St. Paddy’s Day with a range of shades to envy from the SinfulColors Shamrock Out Collection ($1.99 each), including a NEW Limited Edition glitter polish, Feeling Lucky, a limited edition bold green glitter with gold shamrock shaped glitters.

SinfulColors are made in the USA and are 5 Free (Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DPB and Camphor Free)

I received a few of these gorgeous greens.  Below are swatches of the colors I received:.

Exotic Green is on the left (and underneath Feeling Lucky? on the right).  It is sheer kind of like a jelly polish and took 3 coats to become opaque.  On, it is so pretty.  It would be nice as an every day color and would look cool with a matte top coat.

Feeling Lucky? is basically a clear top coat with green and white glitter with gold shamrocks.  It looks great on, but takes a little practice to fish the shamrocks out.

Both colors above are shimmers with two coats each. Happy Ending is a bright green shimmer. San Francisco is a darker color — perfect for St. Patrick’s Day.

Available in February and March 2016 at various retailers including Target, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite Aid and other drug and mass retailers

Cool New Nail Polishes From Chrome Girl, Mineral Fusion and Nonie Creme Colour Prevails

I love doing my own nails.  Since my nails are natural, they are not long or pointy or scary, but they do love color!

I give myself a manicure at least once a week.  So I love to have lots of different polish brands and colors to change on a whim.

The nail polishes below are new to me — and I love them all.  These were sent to me for my honest review:

Chrome Girl — This is a collection of nail lacquers and treatments that are all vegan, long lasting, cruelty free, made in the USA, and are of course 8-free (produced without formaldehyde, DBP, toluene, formaldehyde resin, camphor, silicone, acetone, and phthalates)!

Already spotted on the red carpet on Jennifer Hudson, Chrome Girl continues to be a favorite of many of today’s top celebrities including Emily Deschanel, Anna Sophia Robb, Julianne Hough and many more.

The colors above from left to right are Lazy Daze, Mercury in Retrograde, and No Tan Lines.  They are all just one coat, and you can tell how great the coverage is. No Tan Lines is my new favorite neutral, and Mercury in Retrograde is gorgeous!

Purchase at

Mineral Fusion ($7.99 USD) is thrilled to announce the newest additions to its line of vegan, chip-resistant nail polish shades for the naturally glamorous woman. Comprised of two fabulous glitters, seven soft sheers, and two resilient top coats, this set offers a beautiful range of every day options to complete any manicure. Whether the goal is glitz, effortless glam, or classic neutrals, Mineral Fusion takes polished paws to the next level with these versatile shades. The colors above from the new line are Cashmere and Snowflake.

Each Mineral Fusion polish is created with the brand’s fabulous antioxidant-rich, 100% vegan formula and is free of formaldehyde, toluene, camphor, TPHP, and dibutyl phthalate. These new polishes are cruelty-free and are certified by Leaping Bunny, so you can be sure your nails are never taking part in any controversial activity.

I love these polishes, they cover well and look gorgeous on.  I really love Snowflake, because it can top anything.  I also love how they are vegan and free of nasty stuff!

Available at Whole Foods Markets nationwide, as well as other fine health food stores and

Nonie Creme Colour Prevails Nail Lacquer ($8 USD) in Mr. Big — This beautiful slate grey named after our favorite Sex and the City man is the perfect complement to just about every tone in your wardrobe.  Add a matte finish only ups the trend factor.

Nonie Creme Colour Prevails Nail Lacquer in Wine O’Clock ($8 USD) A glass of Pinot Noir provides an instant warming effect with one sip, and as it turns out, its nail color counterpart does the same in a swipe.

Mr. Big covers very well, and it’s hard to see, but it has subtle glitter in it.  Wine O’clock is also gorgeous, but needs a few coats to become opaque.  The handle on these make them very easy to apply, even with your weaker hand!

Sally Hansen’s Fall 2015 Designer Inspired Nail Polish

The three designers are Prabal Gurung, Tracy Reese and Rodarte:

Prabal Gurung launched his eponymous collection in February 2009 with a philosophy encompassing modern luxury, bold femininity and an astute sense of glamour. Prabal Gurung collaborated with Sally Hansen for the tenth consecutive season to create three exclusive nail polish shades to compliment his Fall 2015 collection, which is a graphic, modern take on effortless glamour.

The exclusive Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen collection includes: Complete Salon Manicure in Midnight Affair, Complete Salon Manicure in Leaf Peeper,  Complete Salon Manicure in Concrete Jungle.

With an innate desire to create beautiful things, Detroit native Tracy Reese headed for Manhattan in 1982 to attend Parsons School of Design where she received an accelerated degree in 1984. Upon graduation, Reese apprenticed under designer Martine Sitbon while working for the small contemporary firm, Arlequin. Reese has also worked at the some of the industry’s top fashion houses, including Perry Ellis where she was the design director for Women’s Portfolio.

For the nineteenth consecutive season, Tracy Reese collaborated with nail color leader Sally Hansen to create three exclusive nail colors that complemented her Fall 2015 Collection.

The exclusive Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen collection includes: Complete Salon Manicure in Yummy Yam,  Complete Salon Manicure in Maasai Red,  Complete Salon Manicure in Winter Sky

Sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy launched Rodarte in 2005 and quickly became known as the go-to house for couture, known for their intricate hand stitching and romantic details.

For the fifth season in a row, Rodarte has once again turned to nail color authority Sally Hansen to create three limited edition Complete Salon Manicure nail polish colors. The designers’ highly anticipated Fall 2015 Collection served as a muse for Sally Hansen’s nail color creations. The Fall 2015 nails are inspired by translucent color and the subtlety of watercolors.

The exclusive Sally Hansen inspired by Rodarte collection includes: Complete Salon Manicure in Gold Glass, Complete Salon Manicure in Beige Glass, Complete Salon Manicure in Rose Glass.

What I think:  I love the Complete Salon Manicure, because it is quick and easy to get a gorgeous look.  They are also fairly affordable.  Add to that gorgeous fashion-forward shades, and this collection is a hit to me!

My favorite colors in the collection are Yummy Yam and Leaf Peeper because they are new takes on Fall shades, but all of them are beautiful!

Have you picked up any of these polishes?  What did you think?  Leave a comment and let me know!

·         *Limited Edition* St. Mark’s the Spot- deep navy

I received samples of  A Great Opera-tunity  and Venice the Party? I have swatched them (below), two coats each.  Please excuse the messiness!

These are both gorgeous polishes, but they both seem a little summery for me.  Luckily, there are many different shades to chose from in the collection, including different shades of red.

A Great Opera-tunity is a really nice cream.  I think with three coats, it would have been perfect, but two work well.  It is a sweet, light melon color.

Venice the Party? is beautiful!  I love a good shimmer, and this one is a fun mermaid (turquoise) blue!  Love!

Get your first Julep Maven box for free ($2.99 shipping), no coupon required, just visit to US and Canada.

For my box this month, I chose one of their new Crème-to-Powder Eyeshadow Sticks in Orchid Shimmer.  I also chose two colors, Paulina and Laurel and chose three add on polishes, Nicola, Jocelyn and Michaela and got a free polish, Myriam.  Here are the shades:

Crème-to-Powder Eyeshadow Sticks in Orchid Shimmer.  It’s a really pretty wine color that stays on all day.  The other end has a sponge blender that works really well.

These polishes from top to bottom are:

Jocelyn — Cranberry shimmer with holographic microglitter

Laurel — Raven feather silk

Paulina — Peacock duochrome

Michaela — Blackcurrant microglitter shimmer

Nicola  — Orange glow-in-the-dark iridescent microglitter top coat. Charge it up in the light for maximum glow after dark

Myriam — Casino red crème

You can probably tell from my choices that I love dark, sparkly polishes for fall! I love them all, especially Paulina. The glow in the dark top coat is for my youngest daughter, who loves it and the bright red was my free gift.  Quite a hall, eh?!

Leave a comment and let me know if you are a Maven and what you received this month.

China Glaze The Great Outdoors Fall 2015 Collection

China Glaze

Deadlines to meet. Trains to catch. Speeding cars. Loud sirens. In the hustle and bustle of today’s fast paced world, it is easy to lose sight of the true beauty that surrounds us. It can be a challenge to slow down and appreciate the wondrous world all around. This fall, China Glaze® encourages you to do just that with its The Great Outdoors collection. Continuing on its 2015 Colour Adventure, China Glaze® explores the vast tones and textures of the wilderness. These 12 new nature-inspired shades inspire you to ground yourself, even if for just a moment, and appreciate the treasures of the great outdoors that shimmer, sparkle and wow.

Unplug and reconnect with nature with The Great Outdoors shades from left to right in the photo:

S’More Fun: Adventurous lemon lime crème
My Lodge or Yours?: Natural mauve crème
Cabin Fever: Pink to copper dup chrome
Let’s Dew It: Multi dimensional blue gray glitter
 Gone Glamping: Gold to green duo chrome
Sleeping Under the Stars: Dark blue with stardust shimmer
 Take a Hike: Rich mossy green crème
Check Out the Silver Fox: Metallic gunmetal gray
Free Bear Hugs: Deep black red crème
 Change Your Altitude: Pebble greige crème
Not shown:
 Pondering: Deep amethyst duo chrome
 Wood You Wanna?: Rich brown burgundy metallic
I was sent this entire fabulous collection to review for my honest opinion!  It is so gorgeous!  I swatched all of the colors with two coats and no top coat. Here are my swatches:

S’more Fun is very bright!  I usually don’t wear bright colors but it’s really fun! My Lodge or Yours? is gorgeous!  The perfect pinky nude for fall.  I love duo chromes and Cabin Fever is a subtle one.  The orange is very autumnal.

Let’s Dew it is such a pretty glitter top coat.  It has blue, silver and a purple cast to it.  Love!  Gone Glamping changes colors in the light from green to gold.  Sleeping under the Stars is the most interesting of the bunch.  It is an extremely dark blue, but it has tiny bits of glitter in it.  So cool!
My Take a Hike swatch isn’t the best, but besides my lack of polish skills, you can still tell that it’s a rich color.  Two coats completely covers.  Check Out the Silver Fox is a bit darker in person, my swatch caught the sunlight and looks a bit lighter in the photo.  It will be a fun metallic for celebrations in the fall through the holidays.  Free bear hugs is one of my favorites, I love a dark red!
Change Your Altitude is a creamy gray, a really nice fall neutral.  For a gorgeous, deep duo chrome, Pondering is a lovely blue.  And Would you Wanna? is deep, shimmery brown.
All of these shades make me so excited for fall!  I love the richer nail colors and will be sporting them soon!

Design an immortal manicure fit for the undead with this mix of scary shimmers, ghoulish glitters and terrifying top coats. The horrifying hues in the Apocalypse of Colour collection include:

Rest in Pieces
Rest in Pieces

Getting to Gnaw You: Dark black polish with hints of orange glitter. I used two coats and it was very thick. Has a texture to it, not a smooth glitter.

Getting to Gnaw You
Getting to Gnaw You

• Rest in Pieces: Festive fall glitter combination of copper, gold and black. I put at few coats on this to show the glitter particles, but you only need one or two over another color for a fun look.  Maybe an orange or a tan would look great under this.

I Love Your Guts
I Love Your Guts

• I Love Your Guts: Blood red with specks of black.  I used two coats of this.  It has a nice sandy texture and looks great on.

Don’t Let the Dead Bite
Don’t Let the Dead Bite

• Don’t Let the Dead Bite: Nude base with sporadic red glitter pieces to look like blood splatter across your fingertips.  I used two coats.  I think this would look great over an opaque nude or white polish.

But Of Corpse
But Of Corpse

• But Of Corpse: Gruesome green with specks of black.  Two coats.  This texture was the same as I Love Your Guts.

Ghoulish Glow
Ghoulish Glow

• Ghoulish Glow: Glow-in-the-dark top coat.  This is with two coats, it looks clear in the day.  I tried to take a photo in the dark, but my phone wouldn’t take a good one.  It does glow!  I would wear it over another polish for a fun evening out.

What I think:  This is a fun collection for Halloween and for fall in general!  Definitely dramatic.

China Glaze is free of DBP, toluene, and added formaldehyde.
