My Beauty Favorites — Week of April 17-23, 2017

It was a beautiful Sunday yesterday! It was warm in Kansas City and I got out to enjoy my daughter’s (and my husband the coach’s) lacrosse game. They won!

My favorite beauty products this week include amazing fragrances, a handy daily exfoliator, a gorgeous lip duo and volumizing dry shampoo:

Molton Brown and Orange & Bergamot ($65 USD) — Our original scent in a fresh, citrusy eau de toilette, blended with bergamot, mandarin and Seville oranges:
Top notes: orange oil, bergamot, lemon and mandarin.
Heart notes: petitgrain, cardamom and galbanum.
Base notes: neroli, ylang-ylang and musk.

Molton Brown Fiery Pink Pepper ($65 USD) — Our signature spicy pink pepperpod fragrance accentuated in an alluring eau de toilette, enhanced with more delicately balanced, complex aromas:
Top notes: pink pepper, tangerine and elemi oil.
Heart notes: nutmeg and ginger oil.
Base notes: patchouli and cedarwood oil.

Molton Brown Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold ($65 USD) — A heady eau de toilette fragrance with deep, rich aromas from the East:
Top notes: cinnamon leaf oil and nutmeg oil.
Heart notes: elemi oil, myrrh oil and black tea accord.
Base note: oudh accord, vetiver, honey and tobacco accord.

What I think: These are all such complex, luxe fragrances. My fave is the Orange & Bergamot because I love fresh, light scents. The Fiery Pink Pepper is bright and sultry and the Ouhd Accord & Gold is deep and dramatic.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of March 27- April 2, 2017

It has been a rainy spring week in Kansas City. We had a really dry winter, so I guess this is okay. But, I am looking forward to warm, sunny days!

This week I have been loving skin care that protects from the elements and amazing scented spring body care products:

What I think: Both of these collections smell amazing, but I think the Comice Pear & Wild Honey is my favorite, I use the hand lotion every day. Both of these fragrances are so original!

My Beauty Favorites — Week of July 18-24, 2016

This week I have been trying lots of great products sent to me for my honest review. There is amazing skin care, hair care and body care out there right now and I love discovering new products!

My faves this week include a hydrating toner, conditioning shampoo, luxe body lotions and amazing face masks:

No7 Beautiful Skin Refreshing Toner for Normal/Dry Skin ($8.99 USD) — Looking for a refresher from the heat? This toner cleanses the skin to leave it feelings radiant and reinvigorated. The product is formulated with a blend of rosehip oil and contains a blend of multivitamin and minerals to hydrate the skin. Gently remove makeup and cleanse the skin to leave it looking clear and healthy.

What I think: I like to keep this in the fridge. It keeps it cool and it is so refreshing at morning or night! It helps cleanse my skin and keeps it soft and hydrated. And it’s really affordable as well.

What I think: I like this shampoo a lot in the summer. It works as a shampoo and conditioner. My hair is soft and manageable and it looks great! I also love that it protects my color.

What I think: Both of these are such warm and clean scents. The texture of the lotion is creamy but not greasy. Perfect for summer hydration!

The Radiance Brightening Face Mask made my skin glow and the Intense Hydrating Face Mask is wonderful for dry skin.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of January 18-24, 2015

It definitely is the time of the year to try new, hydrating skin care. I have been trying to keep my skin moisturized in the cold weather. It feels like the moisture has been sucked out of my whole body and I have been drinking lots of water as well as hydrating my skin!

My faves this week include products that will keep your skin, body and lips hydrated:

What I think: This is a lovely night cream. It is very moisturizing without being heavy on. In the morning, my skin is so soft and supple. Plus, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I love the potent natural ingredients used. I feel that I am doing something great for my skin when I use this.

Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare Recapture Day + IR Defense Anti-Aging Cream SPF 30 is formulated with a bio-copper complex that helps correct the most visible signs of aging. It uses three effective technologies to revive, improve and protect your skin while recapturing a youthful appearance.

What I think: I only use day creams with SPF so I was happy to get this one. It is so hydrating and great for my aging skin! I notice that my skin looks smoother when I use it. That is my main issue. I use so much anti-aging skincare that I don’t have a lot of wrinkles (knock on wood)!

Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod Nourishing Body Lotion ($42 USD) — A spicy, nourishing body lotion blended with pink pepperpods for antioxidant protection. The fragrance Top note: Fiery pink pepper. Middle note: Ginger. Base note: Rich patchouli.

What I think: This is a very soothing body lotion. It sinks right into your skin and keeps it soft all day! Molten Brown makes a variety of different scent that are all so interesting. If you love a spicy fragrance, this lotion definitely fits the bill!
