Hey all! Happy New Year’s Eve! This is my last Project Pan of the year! And it was successful! I used up all of the products above.
You can check my other posts on this pan. The first one is here and my update is here. I only did one update on this one.
If you look at the photos on the other posts, you can see that they are a little different. I couldn’t find the bottle of my Pixi Retinol Tonic. I did use it all up! And I added the Maybelline Fit Me powder. I had it in my second Project Pan of the year and finally used it up. I’m so proud, so I thought I would show it!
I’ve currently moved on to other makeup and skincare. If I did need more products, I would repurchase the Flower Beauty concealer, the Fit Me powder, both Pixi products and the amazing Derma E cleanser!
This year was my first time doing a Project Pan in my many years of blogging. I have learned that it takes a loooong time to use up makeup! I used the three LORAC glosses every day, multiple times a day and it took me three months to use them up. The powder took forever, and the concealers also took a fairly long time.
So, I have decided not to continue with Project Pan’s next year, at least not for a few months. I think since I have so much makeup (and it will take forever to use up), I’m going to post a monthly Shop My Stash. I think I’ll choose 5 makeup items each month that I am going to incorporate into my makeup routine and see how much use I get out of them.

Hi all! I’m back with my first update on my last Project Pan of 2018. You can see my first post here.
I’m attempting to use up 5 skincare and 5 makeup items. And it’s going pretty well. I haven’t used up anything yet, but I am getting close!
I just have a little bit left of my Pixi products. I should use them up in a couple of weeks. Same with the Talika Eye Dream. This is almost gone. The Derma E cleanser is still going strong. I’ve been using this for a while and it is really lasting! The Yes to Cotton mask is the only thing that’s taking me a while to use. I keep forgetting about it! But I did use it 4 times last month. I want to try applying it twice a week from now on. We’ll see how it goes!
I do really like all of these products. They all help my skin look smoother and clearer. I’ll let you know if ‘m going to repurchase when I use them up.
My makeup pan is going okay. I think the Flower Beauty concealer is almost used up. It’s taking a few dips in to get enough concealer to apply. I’ve been concentrating on the concealer, but have used the Colourpop one a few times.
I’ve been wearing one or a combo of the lip glosses every day in October. I don’t know if you can see from the photo, but it looks like the lightest one is separating on the bottom. I might have to stop using that one. If I don’t use them all up by the end of the year, I’m going to toss them. They are over a year old and it’s either use them up or throw them away!
I think I should get through most of these products. I think the interesting thing I’ve learned so far this year is that I have way more makeup than I will use up! I’ll talk more about that at my end of year round up.
Have you done a Project Pan this year? What are you learning from it?
I’m back with my final Project Pan of the year! I’m pretty proud that I’ve done three so far!
As you can see from the photo above, I have 5 makeup items this time and 5 skincare products. This is the most makeup products I’ve had in a pan so far. Hopefully I’ll get through them all! Here are the products I’ve chosen:
These are the LORAC Mod Lip Gloss from the Beauty and the Beast Collection that launched last year. These shades are Savoir Faire (nude peachy rose), True Beauty (pale mauve) and Belle-ieve (nude). I’ve had these for abut a year, so they are at the end of their life span! They are very hydrating (not sticky at all) and are so pretty alone or over a lipstick.
I’ve recently purchased and received a bunch of lip glosses, so I need to use these up. I would say they are about half or 3/4 used up, so hopefully I can get through all three by the end of the year. I am trying to use them every day, and even multiple times a day since they are so hydrating.
Here are swatches of the glosses — Savoir Faire, True Beauty, and Belle-ieve. I love all three shades!
I am trying to pan two concealers. The top one is Colourpop No Filter Conealer in Light 12 and Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer in Light. I’m trying to use up my concealers, because there are so many new concealers that have been released that I want to try. But I don’t want to buy any until I use up a few!
These are both nice, here are swatches:
The left is the Flower Beauty one and the right is the Colourpop. The Flower Beauty concealer is more moisturizing and the Colourpop is more matte. They are both really nice and I eventually might buy them both again. I actually have a back up of the Flower Beauty one, but it’s in a different shade, I think Fair. Which will work out in the winter when I am paler.
I think the Flower Beauty once is only about a 3rd full and the Colourpop Concealer is about half full.
Now on to the skincare! Left to right is Derma-E Firming DMAE Cleanser, Yes to Cotton anti-pollution Oxygenated Facial Mask, and the Talika Eye Dream.
The Derma-E cleanser is so nice. It cleans without drying and leaves my skin soft and firm! It’s about half full. The Yes to Cotton mask is almost full, so I need to use it a few times a week to empty it by the end of the year. I just have so many masks I need to start using. The Talika eye cream is hydrating without being greasy. It’s about half for 3/4 full.
Last but not least are these products by Pixi Beauty. The Retinol tonic is over half full and the wonderful Rose Glow Mist is under half full. I have lots of mists and need to use some up!
So that’s my 4th and last Project Pan of the year! I’ll be doing updates and hopefully I will use it all up!
I’m still deciding if I’ll do this again next year…we’ll see!
It has been a busy week, and I’ve been sick. I am hoping next week is better. It is my daughter Abby’s 18th birthday today! The time has flown, she will be in college next year. Crazy!
This weeks I have two faves I’ve been loving. And amazing eye treatment and sparkly gem-inspired nail polishes:
Talika Eye Dream ($57, on sale at Amazon $49.52) — TALIKA Eye Dream transforms bedtime into an 8-hour long spa treatment for the eyes from the moment you drift off to the minute you awake. Regenerative ingredients and biopeptides will help improve the texture of your skin so it will feel and look softer and smoother in the morning.
What I think: This is a real treat for the eyes! Apply at night around the eye, then rinse with water in the morning. It smooths the eye area and makes you look younger and wide awake! It’s perfect for late nights or when you’re not feeling as well.
Purchase at Amazon and other great skincare store.
Sally Hansen Color Therapy Enchanting Gems Collection ($8.99 each) — Stone cold stunning! Inspired by multi-faceted luxurious gemstones, the Sally Hansen Color Therapy range introduces 6 new opulent shades designed to elevate every autumn look. These contain a patented micro-delivery system that delivers an argan oil enhancing formula, resulting in intensive nourishment and instant moisture for healthier-looking nails. The Color Therapy nail polish needs no base coat so the oil complex can directly contact the bare nail. 9 out of 10 women experienced a noticeable improvement in their natural nails after wearing the Color Therapy nail polish. The polish glides on for a radiant, shiny finish with up to 10 days of fade-proof, chip-resistant wear. Colors are:
Opulent Pearl — Opt for over-the-top iridescence in a glossy white pearl hue Rose Diamond –This dusty pink shimmery shade adds a touch of sparkle to any ensemble Pink Sapphire — Pamper your nails with this luxe electric pink Brilliant Lapis — This royal blue shimmer is a total gem Orchid Amethyst — You’ll be mesmerized by this dazzling orchid tone Smoky Emerald Embrace — evening magic with this blackened midnight teal green
What I think: I love this nail polish formula! It glides on so smoothly and looks so nice one. And it lasts for days and days! These shades are shimmery (my favorite) and so pretty on. Really nice for fall and the holiday season!
I try a lot of new skincare each year, and LOVE it! There are so many amazing brands and products available that can change the texture of skin and help with fine lines and wrinkles.
The products below are my current faves:
Erborian Bamboo Crème Frappée ($43 USD) — With a unique slush-like texture that melts effortlessly into skin on contact, the Bamboo Crème Frappée instantly helps revive dehydrated skin. This intensely moisturizing cream helps to energize and refresh the skin while providing comfort and hydration. Apply the fresh gel to your skin in the morning and at night, or use as a makeup base to reveal smoother and softer feeling skin.
What I think: This is a cool moisturizer. It has a slushie gel consistency that melts into skin. I like using it in the morning, since it is so refreshing, plus it softens my dry skin. Great for every day!
JUARA’s Clove Flower & Turmeric Anti-Aging Serum ($65 USD) — Get glowing radiant skin! This reparative oil-free and fragrance-free serum addresses the visible signs of premature skin aging. It boosts radiance, reduces the appearance of fine lines and increases firmness using a powerful combination of turmeric, clove flower, watermelon extract, sea algae, hyaluronic acid, goji fruit and palm peptides. Clove flower and turmeric help brighten and even out the appearance of the skin. Plant Peptides, Goji Fruit and Golden Bamboo help firm and smooth skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines, while Sweet Pea naturally exfoliates. Fresh sea algae, watermelon extract and hyaluronic acid plump the look of the skin and infuse skin with immediate vitality and hydration. After only a few applications your skin will look smoother, more radiant and vibrant, while feeling firmer and more plump to the touch, results get even better with prolonged use.
What I think: I use serums twice a day, so am always looking for a great one. This serum is light and fragrance-free, which is so helpful with my sensitive skin. It helps firm and hydrate my skin. I love to apply a moisturizer over it to lock in the hydration and keep my skin smooth all day.
Votre Vu Tragic Magic Rescue Crème ($40 USD) — It soothes, decongests, desensitizes, rebalances and stabilizes the flush of hyper-reactive skin. That’s not all. It will also reinforce the protective barrier of your skin to ward off those pesky free radicals and save the day. Tragic Magic Rescue Crème is designed to correct the excessive sensitivity of the facial skin and restore equilibrium to the self-defending barrier of highly reactive skin. Immediately, the skin is calmed with lime, then desensitized and decongested by a blend of skin defenders. Jojoba, rose hips, calophyllum, soja and avocado insaponifiables protect and balance skin’s defenses and, with the protection of vitamin E against cell-damaging free radicals, your skin can re-hydrate to regain a balanced moisture level.
Votre Vue Attentive Crème de Nuit ($49. USD) — Designed to lavishly attend to the needs of your sensitive skin, this organic night crème is here to save face. Luscious and delicate with a soft, velvety texture, Attentive Crème de Nuit completely calms and moisturizes even the most sensitive skin all the way through to morning light. A select group of active moisturizing plant agents including borage and tamanu oils, in addition to shea butter, blended with milk proteins and algae extracts, produce a superlative essential night treatment. Instantly comforting, this crème is ideal to help skin recover and reform.
What I think: Votre Vu is a French skincare company that I haven’t tried before. Both of these creams are rich and soothing. The Tragic Magic (great name!) cream is very rich, but not greasy at all. It is nice to use at night when my sensitive skin is irritated. The Attentive Crème is lighter and so nice to use every night. I wake up in the morning and my skin hydrated, clear and ready for the day!
Talika’s Bio Enzymes Mask($13.75) includes Chamomile and Arnica, helping to soothe and heal the skin. It has a three dimensional structure to retain a very high concentration of active ingredients which are spread evenly over the skin.
It acts like a “second skin”. With alpine herbs, sodium hyaluronate and hydrophilic sugars, it restores dry, sensitive skins. After use, the skin is perfectly mosturized*, softened, soothed and infinitely more beautiful.
What I think: This is an interesting mask. It is almost like a gel sheet. When I placed it on my skin, it molded to my face. I left it on for about 15 minutes. After I removed it, I rubbed in the excess serum. Then I let my skin dry and afterwards it was very soft. It even hydrated rough spots on my forehead. This is fabulous for dry and dull skin.
