I went a while this summer without wearing polish and not really taking care of my nails. So I’ve been trying to keep my nails polished and looking good for fall!

Nude nails are definitely an accessory that enhances your complexion but finding the perfect shade can be overwhelming. I received these to test and I find them so interesting. I first applied them like normal nail polish and swiped the brush over my whole nail. It didn’t really work. The polish broke up a little bit but not enough to look marbled. So then I read the instructions and you are supposed to wipe off the excess polish and drag it over the nail in short strokes. That worked. The polish broke up to look more spotty. It’s actually pretty fun to use. I love using the lighter color Marble-ous over a light shade for a cool textured look. The black looks really cool over red!

I have been loving these Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Sunset Splash Collection for my end of summer nails looks. Hi All! August is here and summer is still going strong. I’m not a big fan of the heat and humidity, but I do like the glow of summer makeup and fun colors on my eyes and nails.

Rimmel London Wonder Wing Eyeliner Stamp ($6.99 USD) — I have not mastered winged eyeliner. In fact, I’m pretty terrible at it. That’s why I was excited to try this liner. The end of the liner has a long triangle shape to stamp a wing. And that does work, but it takes practice. There is a point at the end to use it as a liner, but it bleeds onto my eye. My trick is to use the stamp for the wing and connect it with a gel pen or eyeliner pencil.

One of my favorite quick-dry polishes, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Formula has a new formula and new shades! The newly upgraded 3-in-1 formula with built in base and top coat, boasts an updated bottle, a revamped formula and fabulous shade additions. The shades above included muted and bold shades. The pink metallic on top is called Petal to the Metal and it is gorgeous! One coat looked amazing, but two coats was more opaque and it lasted for days!

I received a sample of Sally Hansen Big Polish Guards Cuticle Protectors ($5.99 USD) for my honest review. What are they you ask?

I was super excited to try them! Here’s a close up look:
There are 24 in the box, 4 strips of 6. I guess this is for if you mess up applying one. I decided to paint my nails and use the guards on my right hand and not use them on my left to compare. Here is my hand after I applied the guards:
The guards are fairly thick, so I questioned whether I would get a clean line of polish. I did try to press them down on my cuticles as the instructions said, and this is as close at they would get.
Now, I don’t usually paint my nails like I’m 2, but I thought it would be a great indicator if this worked! LOL!
These came of very easy! Here is the result:
And here are my nails! I think it worked pretty well. I had to clean up my index finger, but besides that, it is pretty even and neat. Here is my other hand:
Yes, it is a bit messy! But the messy cuticles did wear off by morning. The guards took a few minutes to apply, but they did work pretty well. Hmmm…I don’t know if I would by them again, maybe if I had a special occasion to go to.

The guards are fairly thick, so I questioned whether I would get a clean line of polish. I did try to press them down on my cuticles as the instructions said, and this is as close at they would get.
And here are my nails! I think it worked pretty well. I had to clean up my index finger, but besides that, it is pretty even and neat. Here is my other hand:
Yes, it is a bit messy! But the messy cuticles did wear off by morning. The guards took a few minutes to apply, but they did work pretty well. Hmmm…I don’t know if I would by them again, maybe if I had a special occasion to go to.
