Are you a Julep Maven? I have been for a couple of years and Julep is now my favorite nail polish!
Julep is a monthly subscription. If you pay 3 months at a time it’s $19.99 a month and if you pay monthly it’s $24.99. You get to customize your box and can choose your polish and beauty product shades each month. The polishes are gorgeous and it is so much fun to get a box each month. Plus, If you don’t want to receive it, you can skip for the month, or send it to a friend for a gift. Click here to subscribe.
My My Maven choices this month are the left three polishes and I added on the 4th for $6.99. My total this month was $31.98. The polishes are normally $14.00 each or $11.20 each for Mavens. The colors are from left to right:
London — Heather blossom crème Hazel — Wild violet and bronze duochrome Becky — Oil slick duochrome silk Ada — Bright rhubarb fizzy
Every Maven received a free polish this month, a gorgeous Holographic heart glitter top coat called Hartleigh. I got really lucky and received 5 more to give to friends! I’m so excited!
I received my Julep Maven September box this week! I was so excited, because I haven’t received a Maven box for a few months. I have been a member since February 2013, so I’m allowed to skip my monthly box whenever I want to and the last few boxes have seemed like repeats of former colors. This collection, the Art Walk, seemed a bit different. Plus I really wanted to try their new Plush Pout lip crayon!
Here is the box I received:
This was the Boho Glam box. It Included:
Erin (Boho Glam): Oyster grey crème
Mary Lee (Boho Glam): Oxblood satin
Plush Pout Lip Crayon: Rich, full-coverage color with a moisturizing treatment core, I chose almond nude
Plus I chose three add ons to my order at a reduced price: Queen Anne a Lilac confetti microglitter (Julep’s 3rd anniversary color), Lola a moonlit night blue satin, and Kirby a silver jagged glitter top coat. For purchasing three add ons, I was promised a surprise gift.
These are the colors I received from left to right — Kirby, Queen Anne, Mary Lee, Erin, Lola. My two surprise colors were Daria, dark slate grey crème and Candace, golden chocolate microglitter. Both are great fall colors, but I already have both.
This photo’s a little blurry, but it’s the Plush Pout in Almond Nude. It has a moisture core and is really nice on. It has the feel of a creamy lipstick.
Julep Maven is a wonderful subscription box if you love nail polish and other fab beauty products. The cost is $24.99 on a month-by-month basis and you get your first month free with the code FREECITY. Or you can pay for 3 months at a time for $19.99 per month. You can also get a free box with the code.

Julep’s polishes are gorgeous and are “4-free” and do not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, or DBP. The professional chip-resistant formulation is fast drying and highly pigmented. Julep also creates fab products for maintaining nails, hands and feet. For summer sandal season, try the Best Pedi Prep Ever! + Julep Foot File ($20 USD) — Super exfoliating AHA’s combine with chamomile extract to soften and prepare calluses for foot filing. This no-mess roll-on formula is the most popular foot care product in Julep Nail Parlors. The magic really happens when used with the Julep Foot File.
Use this with The Best Pedi Creme Ever! ($22.00 USD) — Exfoliates with alpha hydroxy acids, hydrates with shea butter and coconut oil, nourishes with vitamin E. Apply nightly for noticeable results in just 1 to 2 uses.

To polish it up, Julep Mavens also receive access to other perks including 20% off all purchases on Julep.com and receive a free month of Mavens after referring two friends.
I love changing my polish each week to reflect my moods and the seasons.
Julep polish has just become available for purchase. Which I think is great — now more people can be introduced to this innovative polish line. I love the colors and the smaller bottles since nail polish tends to dry out before it runs out at my house.
Founded by beauty expert Jane Park, Julep celebrates friendship, expression, and connection through color. Applying her professional beauty advice—often featured in leading fashion magazines—Park developed a nail polish collection with colors named after inspirational, vibrant women. Julep’s fast-drying, long-lasting, non-toxic formula is paired with a high-performance, professional brush. Additionally, the brand donates a portion of their proceeds to organizations that support and empower women.
My favorite shade right now is Heather ($14 USD), a platinum greige with a metallic glow. It is neutral so goes with everything and the metallic color is so cool — I get lots of compliments when I wear it. I only need 2 coats and applies smoothly.
Visit www.sephora.com or www.julep.com where you can sign up for their Maven program. You can purchase monthly mystery boxes that contain polishes and nail care products for $19.99. Get your first box for 1 penny with the code color2012.
