April 2019 Beauty Favorites

Hi all!  Can you believe April is almost over and May is on it’s way!

With my severe allergies, I didn’t wear a lot of makeup this month.  But I was using a few skincare products that soothed my skin and was testing out some products I purchased in Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty.

Here are the products that I have been using.  If I have reviewed them before, I will include the link, if not, I will link to where you can purchase:

IMG_0632

For skincare, I have been using the Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream every day and night. It’s moisturizing and gentle on my dry, irritated eyes.  The IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Neck Cream has been keeping my neck smooth and tight.  But. my favorite skincare discovery is the G.M. Collin Hydramucine Optimal Serum.  It contains a combination of high and low hyaluronic acid to provide moisture while an advanced hydrating formula prevents water loss, improves water circulation within the skin, stimulates ceramide production, and boosts skin’s ability to regulate moisture levels.  It makes my dry, uncomfortable skin feel instantly hydrated.  And it sinks right in and doesn’t leave skin greasy.  I’ve been using it day and night!

My fave complexion products include the Beautyblender Selfie Shield primer with SPF 38.  I received all three new primers for review, and I am enjoying them all.  This is my current fave of the three because my sensitive skin has not been liking traditional sunscreen.  This is a dry oil and sinks right into the skin without irritating it.  I also have been loving my bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Hydrating Foundation Stick SPF 25.  I have it in the shades 1.5 Birch and 2.0 Vanilla. This is creamy and has a nice medium coverage.  I can layer it on for more of a full coverage.

I picked up the Beauty Bakerie HD Flour Setting Powder (Translucent) the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot (Painterly (nude beige)) and the Lancome Cils Booster XL Vitamin Infused-Mascara Primer during the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale.  I use all three every day now and love them all.  The powder sets without making my skin look cakey.  The paint pot primes my lids very nicely and my shadow lasts all day! I have always loved mascara primers.  It’s nice to use a high end one at half price!

My favorite mascara, which is sadly almost at it’s expiration date is the Nanacoco Outlash Mascara.  It makes my lashes very long and gives some volume and separation, too.  It’s not too bold, so it’s my perfect every day mascara.  The lovely Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette is my favorite palette find of the month. It’s a perfect everyday neutral palette that can be smoked up for evening looks.  And I have also been loving the Urban Decay HI-FI Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss. It is shiny without being sticky, and it smells and tastes minty!

What are you April beauty favorites? Any fun new finds this month?

Ulta Beauty Spring Haul 2019 Week 2

Hi all!  I hope you’re having a great weekend!  The fam and I went to see the Avengers Endgame today.  It was three hours of action and emotion!  So good!

Last weekend, I shared my first weeks haul here.  Ulta Beauty has a drugstore beauty sale two weeks each spring after the 21 Days of Beauty.   Each week had new sales.  This is what I purchased the second week:

img_0621-e1556407009233.jpg

Tree Hut Firming Sugar Scrub Mocha and Coffee Bean

The Body Shop Banana Body Yogurt

Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes

EcoTools Full Powder Brush

Juvia’s Place The Warrior Eyeshadow Palette

ULTA Watermelon Facial Mist

e.l.f. Cosmetics 16HR Camo Concealer (Light Beige (light with golden beige undertone))

L.A. Girl Shady Slim Brow Pencil (Espresso)

L.A. Girl Ultimate Lip Intense Wear Auto Lipliner (Forever Bare)

FLOWER Beauty Petal Pout Lip Mask (Smooch (petal pink))

Not pictured — Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter (Pearl) — It shipped separately, and I haven’t received it yet.

I got everything from 30 – 50% off, which is really great deals!   The only product that was not on sale was the e.l.f. concealer.  But, it is only $5 and I really wanted to try it!

IMG_0625IMG_0626

My most exciting purchase is the Warrior Palette By Juvia’s Place.  I’ve been wanting to try one of their palettes, but some of the color combos confuse me.  This is a neutral palette that is very easy to use and is a safe way for me to try out the formula.  I have done a look with the palette that was so pretty, and I swatched them (see below).  The mattes didn’t swatch as well as the amazing metallics, but they worked well on the eyes.

IMG_0628

So gorgeous!  I am looking forward to playing with this more!

IMG_0622

These are the rest of the color cosmetics I purchased.  I have been searching for an affordable, but awesome concealer.  So far I like this one.  The Flower beauty gloss/mask is very pretty.  I always needs a light lip pencil, and this one is such a pretty shade.  My only miss is the eye brow pencil.  I LOVE the L.A. Girl formula.  I received a free one of this in a GWP I got with last years sale.  The shade has worn off, so I purchased it in Espresso, but I think the one I have is a darker color.  My brows are almost black, so this is a bit light and warm for me.

IMG_0624

Here are swathces of thecolor cosmetics.  The lippies are perfect, the eyebrow pencil a little light, and I think the concealer is a little yellow for me.  But I will still try out the formula!

Let me know if you would like me to review any of this!  I will probably do a Review of some of these and my 21 Days of Beauty Haul.

Did you purchase anything from the sale?  Or are you going to shop the Sephora VIB sale?  I’m a bit broke, so I don’t know if I will pick anything up.

New Philosophy Skincare!

Hi all!  I hope you are having a great spring and are not suffering through allergies like I am!  I actually had to go to the doctor’s to get a breathing treatment yesterday and am on tons of meds.  Sigh…

But, the reviews must go on!  I was recently sent some fab new Philosophy skincare for my honest review!  Here’s what I received:

img_e0510.jpg

Purity Made Simple Make-up Remover ($26 6.6 fl oz) — Sweeps away stubborn, long-wear makeup without tugging, pulling or drying.

Anti-Wrinkle Miracle Worker + Line-Correcting Moisturizer ($24 .5 oz travel size) — Help regenerate the look of skin in just 1 week. This anti-aging moisturizer smooths out lines and wrinkles and acts as a de-stressor for your skin.

Renewed Hope in a Jar Peeling Mousse Instant Glow Facial Mask ($35 2.5 oz) — A one-minute mini facial exfoliating face mask for a radiant, healthy-looking glow.

Purity Made Simple Hydra-Essence With Coconut Water ($22 6.7 fl. oz) — Hydrating skin essence for radiant, clarified complexion.

What I think:  I am loving all of these amazing skincare products that Philosophy has recently been releasing. I have already reviewed the larger size of the Anti-Wrinkle Miracle Worker moisturizer here.  This size will be perfect to take with my on summer travels!  It’s also an affordable way to try it out.

I love the makeup remover for getting every last bit of makeup without irritating my sensitive eyes.  I also wear contacts, and at the end of the day, my eyes don’t want to be messed with! This is gentle and effective.

The Peeling Mousse is a really cool product.  It combiens physical exfoliation and an exclusive enzymatic complex.  You leave it on for 1-minute and it grabs on to debris that can build up causing dull skin, and visibly rolls away those impurities. It makes skin super soft and glowing.  It also helps with skin tone and fine lines.

The Hydra-Essence is a pre-moisturizer step.  I find that it gives an extra layer of hydration under my moisturizer, so my skin feels more hydrated and comfortable longer.  It is light and non-greasy, which I need having combination skin.

All of the gorgeous products can be purchased on http://www.philosophy.com.

Have you tried any of these Philosophy products?  What’s your favorite new skincare?

Allure Beauty Box April (and March) 2019

img_0585.jpg

Hi all!  I recently resubscribed to Allure Beauty Box.  I was subscribed a couple of years ago and decided to give it another go.  They were advertising an amazing collaboration box with You Tuber Carli Bybel.  Plus $5 off the first box and a free La Mer gift.  So they got me!

The Allure Beauty Box is $15 a month.  And you receive deluxe and some full size products.  Not bad!

I actually received the March box a couple of weeks ago, and thought that’s what they sent instead of the April box.  But I just got the April box, too and thought I’d share both.

I didn’t get all of the spoilers that were advertised, but I think it’s a pretty great box.

Here’s the April box:

IMG_0566

Juvia’s Place Nubian Mini Limited Edition

Vita Liberata Phenomenal Tan Infused Towels (2 pack)

Briogeo Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protectant Creme

LA Splash Cosmetics ART-KI-TEKT Slim Eyeliner Pen — Full Size

LUXIE 205 Tapered Blending Brush Rose Gold –Full Size

Natasha Denona Eye Shadow in  Bronzage

IMG_0568

I have tried Vita Liberata mousses before, but never the cloths.  I will try these out and see how I like them.

IMG_0571

I haven’t tried this Briogeo product before, but will definitely give it a go.  I love heat protection products.

IMG_0572IMG_0573

The Luxie Brush is very pretty and soft.  I will use that.  My daughters usually steal any liquid liners I get, but I might try this out before they find it.  I don’t use a lot of liner, but I would like to see how this works.IMG_0579IMG_0580

The first shadow swatch is the Natasha Denona Bronzage, there is also a closer swatch of that below.  I think it’s fun how well it goes with the Juvia’s Place palette.

This is my first time trying Juvia’s Place.  It’s a cute, mini palette and will be really good for travel.  I have tried it and make a complete look with it.  It was very nice quality and blended out well.

IMG_0570

IMG_0581

Here’s a close up of the Natasha Denona Bronzeage.  It’s sooooo pretty!  I’ve tried it with some of my favorite neutral mattes in the crease and outer corner, and it looks so pretty all over the lid.  I think this will be a go to for summer.  It’s really soft and buttery, too.  I want to buy a larger Natasha Denona palette, but they are very expensive.  Maybe in the future…

IMG_0587

Here is my March box. I’m not going to show close ups of all of the products, but here’s a group shot:

IMG_0588

This is my March box with my La Mer free gift.  I received:

Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in OG or Bestie – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $20

The BrowGal Instant Brow Gel

Wander Beauty Mascara – FULL SIZE (Retail Value $24)

Acure Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Oil

Mamonde Rose Water Toner

ModelCo Metallic Eyeshadow Trio in Mykonos

Amika Soulfood Nourishing Mask

I think this is a very good box.  Even though I wasn’t expecting it, I’m glad I got it.  I’ll use everything except for maybe the ModelCo palette and the brow gel is not in my color.  I’ll try everything else.

Do you get Allure?  What was in your April box?

Festival Beauty Essentials!

Hi all!  It’s music festival season! Are you going to a festival this spring or summer? I haven’t been to one in years, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have fun with my beauty products during the warmer months!

I’ve put together a few makeup and skincare faves for a fun and safe (don’t forget your SPF) time.  My picks aren’t as glitter as they could be, but if I was going to a festival, these are the types of products I would take with me:

IMG_0468

Urban Decay always has very fun makeup products that is perfect for festival looks. A few I love are:

Urban Decay On The Run Mini Palette in Detour ($25 USD) — This is a perfect travel sized palette.  I have included a photo of it opened below, so you can see the shades.  They are bronzes and couple of blues.  There is also the rosy toned Shortcut palette and the Bailout palette, which has cool toned browns and a couple of purples.  I also have the Shortcut palette and love it, too.

Urban Decay Double Team Special Effect Colored Mascara ($24) — The teal above is the shade Deep End.  It’s be really pretty paired with the palette. One end is a cream formula and the other is a glitter.  There is also a blue, pink, purple and one that’s gold on one end and silver on the other.

Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss ($20 USD) — The shade above is a holographic called SPL.  It’s a pretty shimmery pink.  I’ve just received some of these for review and am excited because I have heard how good they are.  The holographic shade is pretty for fun looks, but the creams are amazing for every day!  I’ll be reviewing them soon.

Urban Decay Cosmetics are available at http://www.urbandecay.com and beauty retailers like Ulta and Sephora.

For on-the-go coverage… FRÉ Skincare’s GLOW ME Tinted Moisturizer ($45 USD) is a revolutionary 3-in-1 formula designed specifically for skin that sweats, and we know there’s a lot of that during festival season. It’s formulated with Argania Active Complex for moisturizing, SPF 15 for protection, and with a universal nude tint for a sheer finish to blur unwanted blemishes and even skin tone.

Available at www.freskincare.com

For healthy sun protection that works… Love Sun Body 100% Natural Origin Mineral Sunscreens  are safe for use on your face and body and provide 80 minutes of water and sweat resistant protection.

Available in lightly scented or fragrance free and in 2 different sizes (6.76 OZ for $32.00 or 3.38 OZ for $21.00) at lovesunbody.com/collections and Amazon.com.

For Flower Power nails… Morgan Taylor’s Spring 2019 Collection – The Color of Petals will have you pretty from head to toe! Inspired by your favorite flowers, these gorgeous pastels are the perfect finishing touch to any spring festival look. Available at Ulta.com and SaltEarthSpa.com beginning February for $9.50 per bottle.

Just for fun, here’s a photo with the Urban Decay palette open:

IMG_0473

Oh yes, that’s gorgeous!  This is nice for all year round, but will be especially perfect for bronzey, summer looks!

Are you going to any festivals this year?  What products will you take with you?

Ipsy Glam Bag Plus Review — April 2019

IMG-0168

Hi All!  It’s time for my April Ipsy Glam Bag Plus review! This is a subscription box that will always include 5 full-sized items. And the items included are mostly luxe or higher end items. This is such a great value for the high quality items included.

Here’s what I received:

IMG_E0409

Benefit Cosmetics High Brow Highlight & Lift Pencil($22 USD)

IT COSMETICS Heavenly Skin Skin-Smoothing Complexion Brush #704 ($48 USD)

Paris Hilton ProD.N.A. Dual Action Cleansing Gel ($29 USD)

GOLDFADEN MD Bright Eyes ($55 USD)

Laura Sanchez’s Moods Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette($35 USD)

The total value for my box this month is $189.  That’s amazing for $25!

IMG_0446IMG_0447

I haven’t tried many Benefit brow products, but I am excited to try this. The packaging is so cool. The color is a soft pink.  I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m looking forward to giving it a go!

IMG_0445

I haven’t taken this out of the tube, because I already have it and might give this one away.  It’s a really nice brush for cream or liquid products. IT Cosmetics makes really gorgeous brushes.

img_0444.jpg I honestly didn’t know that Paris Hilton had a skincare line.  I haven’t tried this yet, but it claims to “effectively cleanse and gently exfoliate without stripping the skin of moisture.”

I’m not sure if I’m going to keep this or pass it on, I have a lot of cleansers open right now and won’t really need a new one for at least a couple of months. It’s interesting, though.

IMG_0443

This looks like such a nice eye cream. It’s supposed to brighten under eye circles, depuff eyes and reduce appearance of wrinkles.  That’s a lot of claims!  I’ll probably keep this for when I need a new eye cream and try it out.

IMG_0411IMG_0412

This palette is full of lots of fun colors! Very festival vibe-y. This month, BoxyCharm also has a brightly colored palette.  I’ll be testing that one out and reviewing it, too!

Here are some swatches:

IMG_E0414

The two highlighters are on the top and the eye shadows are below.  The shimmers are really pretty, especially the green pink and blue.  The mattes didn’t swatch the best (the yellow isn’t even showing up), but they worked okay on my eyes.  The shimmers just as nice on the lids.  The highlighters didn’t show up well when I swatched them, but they are shimmery on.  I’m going to play with the palette a few more times and then hopefully give a full review.

I’m pretty happy with my box this month.  I will keep the Benefit High Brow and the eyeshadow palette, and will probably keep the eye cream, I might keep the cleanser and I will give away the brush, since I have it already.  I might put it in my 5000 follower Instagram Giveaway that I’m planning, so stay tuned.  My IG is @fortyflirtyfab.

Do you get Ipsy Glam Bag Plus?  What did you get?

Skincare Sunday — Pixi Beauty Skintreats Review

Hi all! Happy Skincare Sunday! This is a new series for me that I’ll tried to do every week or every other week.

Today I have a review of Pixi Beauty Skintreats that I received for my honest review.  I love the brand, and their skincare and makeup! I’ve been trying them out for a few weeks.  Here is what I received and my thoughts:

img_e0229.jpg

Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel ($18 USD) — This hydrating cleansing gel removes impurities without stripping the skin of essential moisture. With Moisclean™ and a unique blend containing glycolic acid, horse chestnut extract, aloe and ginseng, it helps refine and brighten complexion leaving skin energized and smooth.

What I think: This is one of my favorite products of the bunch.  It smells really fresh and it cleanses my skin sow well.  It leaves it feeling really clean, but not dry or tight. My skin is so smooth and soft and glows!  I like using this in the morning before makeup, because it preps my skin for makeup.

Milky Tonic ($15 3.4 oz) — Calming and hydrating milk enriched tonic to comfort complexion. This tonic is infused with oat extract to help soothe and balance.

What I think:  This toner does sooth my skin, which I need especially during allergy season.  It’s hard for me to use a lot of my skincare because everything irritates my skin when I have allergies (I have extreme seasonal allergies).  This helps my skin calm down and gets it ready for serums and moisturizers.  And it has a soft floral scent that I really like.

Collagen & Retinol Serum ($24 USD) — Unique concentrated formula of collagen, retinol and vitamins to help restore natural plumpness & elasticity. Helps to soften fine lines and revive skin’s natural radiance.

What I think: This is a very light serum that sinks into the skin right away.  And to me it smells like unripe bananas.  I know that’s so specific, but that’s what it reminds me of.  LOL!  I use this every other night.  I haven’t used retinol for a while, so I thought I would ease myself into using this.  I have found that the mornings after I use this, my skin is so much smoother and younger looking.  Maybe that’s also because of the collagen.  I don’t know about that, but I do know that I will continue to use this!

Vitamin-C Lotion ($24 USD) — Skin brightening moisture lotion. Vitamin C has potent antioxidant power, promotes healthy collagen production and is known to boost skin luminosity.

What I think: The first thing to say about this is I don’t like the scent of this.  It smells like overripe fruit.  And it’s kind of hard to get past it.  But I only use it at night, so I don’t have to deal with the scent for long, before I fall asleep. The lotion has a light texture and absorbs into my skin fairly quickly. It’s nice for those who don’t wear heavy creams. I can’t wear anything too heavy at night because I get very warm.  This feels nice on.  I wear it over the serum, and I do wakeup with glowing skin, so this may help with that!

I really enjoyed trying all of these.  I will definitely continue using the cleanser, tonic and serum.  I’m still on the fence about the cream. But, I really love Pixi Beauty products and will continue loving and trying new products from the brand!

These are available at pixibeauty.com. Target stores and Target.com

Do you love Pixi Beauty and their Skintreats?  What products do you recommend?

Fresh Products For Spring Beauty

Hi all!  I hope your are enjoying spring and that your weather has improved.  It’s much nicer now in Kansas City!

I have been testing a lot of new products this spring.  I’ve decided to feature a few here that have been helping my skin and hair this spring, plus a waterproof cream eyeshadow:

Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda Balancing Pore Cleanser ($5.99 USD): Developed especially for those with combination skin, this everyday cleanser deep cleans the oily parts while smoothing and conditioning the rough, dry parts— for balanced, conditioned skin. Not only does it remove deep down dirt and impurities from the pores, but it gently exfoliating away dead cells, allowing healthy cells to emerge. With continued daily use, you’ll achieve softer, smoother skin and a more balanced complexion.
Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda Instant Warming Clay Mask ($5.99 USD): Sometimes your skin needs a little extra TLC—plus, what better way to take a selfie—if not with a blue mask on! Designed to purify and refine skin by absorbing excess oils, this instant warming mask opens pores and melts away that pore-clogging dirt, oil, and sebum—leaving your skin clean, soft and refreshed. This warming clay mask, formulated to deep clean pores, is pH balanced for comfortably clean skin. This mask has a unique self-heating technology that is activated when massaged into the skin. This thermal formula in conjunction with purifying and skin toning clays optimize the mask’s ability to deep clean and purify.
What I think:  I have combination skin, so these products are great for me! I also think they would work well for normal-oily skin.  The cleanser really cleans my skin without drying it out.  Plus, it doesn’t irritate it.  My skin is sensitive, too, especially during allergy season.  The mask is really fun it use.  Because my skin is sensitive, I can only do this about once a week, and since there are four in the pack, it’s a months worth.  I love the blue shade and how well it cleans out my pores.  It leaves my skin very soft!
Purchase at mass market retailers near you!

ELLIS FAAS CREAMY EYES ($34 USD) This is a coloured cosmetic applied to the eyelids or to the skin around the eyes to accentuate them. applied in a liquid state, the texture soon dries. unlike other eyeshadows, this formula thereby becomes resistant to the effects of humidity such as tears and wet weather; does not build up in the eyes’ creases; and will not smudge when being rubbed. available in 21 shades.

What I think:  I these in the shades E115 Purple and E104 Grey Brown.  I have found that these work so well as base shades.  They are both fairly deep, but I can use them in my crease or all over the lid.  I can keep the look matte or add a shimmer on top.  These also work nicely as liners, because they are smudge and waterproof.  Gorgeous quality!  And, let’s not forget the cool silver bullet packaging!

These can be purchased at http://www.ellisfaas.com

John Frieda Wonder Drops Hair Masks
John Frieda Wonder Drops Hair Masks
John Frieda Wonder Drops Hair Masks ($3.49 USD) Four targeted hair masks that transform hair in a matter of minutes. Designed to treat hair suffering from frizz, fading, damage or dullness, each mask revives hair with a single in-shower application. Simply shampoo, squeeze out excess moisture and massage the Wonder Drops throughout wet hair.
Available in: Frizz Smoothing, Blonde Brightening, Damage Repairing and Vibrancy Enhancing

What I think:  I have already tried the Frizz Smoothing and Damage Repairing.  The Frizz Smoothing mask really helped cut my frizz down a lot!  This will be so nice to have in the summer when the humidity kills my hair.  The Damage Repairing Mask is nice for damaged hair.  Mine isn’t too bad right now, but I do need a haircut to get rid of split ends! The mask did help my hair and made it shiny and more manageable.

I have very dark brown hair, so I’m going to give the Blond Brightening mask to a blond friend and the Vibrancy Enhancing to my redhead daughter!  It seems there’s a mask for most hair types!

Shop My Stash March 2019 Results and Monthly Empties

IMG_3083

Hi All!  Can you believe it’s almost April?  It’s a nice, warmer day today (yesterday it snowed in Kansas City), and Easter is in a few weeks!

I’m here with the results of my March Shop my Stash.  I had a fun time using products that I haven’t either used in a while or it’s newer to my collection and I want to give it a go.  If I don’t like the item after the month, I will move it out of my collection to make some room!

My most used item from my stash was the Dose of Colors Desi x Katy Friendcation Eyeshadow Palette.  I used the mattes in the palette all month long!  Like I suspected, the metallics are too glittery for me.  When I use them, all I see is glitter!  And that’s not my everyday look.  I am going to keep it, though, because the neutral mattes are so nice!

I used the tarte Rainforest of the Sea highlighting eyeshadow palette vol. III’s shimmer shades with my Friendcation palette.  They are very pretty, but kind of boring.  All the shades are so similar.  I might end up passing this one on to my daughter.

The Laura Geller  Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator Palette is so pretty, but the shades are a bit dark for my skin.  I might keep it and try again in the summer if I tan, or pass it along.

I am not a fan of the Becca Glow Gloss in Malibu Soleil.  The shade isn’t very flattering on me.  I probably won’t keep it.

The Julep Eyeshadow 101 in Champagne Shimmer is so pretty!  I haven’t really given it a chance before.  It’s nice for the inner corner, under the brow or even all over the lid. I paired it with the Friendcation palette and used it all over my lid — it was gorgeous!

Here are my empties for February and March:

IMG_0348

I just have four empties for the last two months. I didn’t post empties in February because I only had the Smashbox spray then. I have been trying lots of new skincare, so I haven’t used up a lot.  I’m almost out of a few more skincare items, so I should have more next month!

This month I used up the Derma E Firming DMAE Eye Lift, The Smashbox Photo Finish So Chill Coconut Primer Water, Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Chamomile and Lavender and Derma E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub.

The Derma E eye cream is amazing!  It really smooths my eye area.  I also really love the Derma E scrub.  It makes my skin so soft!  The two sprays were also so nice.  Especially the Smashbox So Chill Coconut.  I’m sad that it was a limited edition.

This was a fun month. I found a couple of products I will continue to use and a few I’ll move out of my collection and let someone else love them!

I will be posting my April Shop My Stash tomorrow. Do you like to shop your stash?

March 2019 Beauty Favorites

Hi all!  March is almost over!  It was a very long month.  It was fairly warm towards the end of the month, but it’s snowing today.  Yuck!

I have chosen skincare, hair care and makeup for my March favorites.  If I have reviewed them, I will link the post.

My favorites this month are:

IMG_0341

Briogeo Rosarco Milk Leave in Spray — I received this in my January BoxyCharm.  It’s what I use when I air dry my hair.  It leaves it so soft and shiny.  I have another one on reserve, that I won in a recent giveaway (with the lip products below).

Mamonde Floral Hydro Eye Gel Cream — I have been enjoying this eye gel.  It’s fairly light on the eyes and hydrates well.  It’s not very quick absorbing, so I use it as an eye treatment.  In the morning my eye area is bright and hydrated!  But, this has a very strong floral scents, so if you don’t like scented creams, this might not be for you.

Pixi Beauty Milky Tonic — I have just received this and some other Pixi Skintreats a couple of weeks ago for review.  I will be doing a full review next weekend.  I have already decide I love this.  It calms my sensitive skin.  I use it after cleansing and it leaves my skin toned and hydrated.

IMG_0345IMG_0347

Colourpop It’s My Pleasure Palette — This is from a recent Colourpop haul.  This is such a pretty pink and purple palette.   To me it leans more pink than purple.  I don’t wear a lot of pink eyeshadow, but I have been using the metallics with brown mattes for really wearable looks.

L’Oreal Unlimited Length and Lift Mascara — So, funny story.  Last week I left my house to run errands.  When I was close to the store, I looked at myself in the rear view mirror and saw I only put mascara on one eye!  It was very noticeable.  So I pulled in to CVS and chose this one.  It’s so nice!  I put it on in the car and it matched my other eye nicely (I think I was wearing the Colourpop mascara).  I like this one more than the Colourpop mascara.  It gives length and volume and you can adjust the wand.  I’ve been using it ever since!

IMG_0343IMG_0344

These are both by Nudestix.  The top one (and right in the swatch), is the Intense Matte lip and cheek in Purity.  The left one ( and left in the swatch) is the Gel Color lip and cheek in Rebel.  I won these in a recent giveaway (there is a photo of the giveaway products up on Instagram @fortyflirtyfab. Let me know if you’d like me to post it here).  Both of these are so nice on the lips.  The nude one is mat ant the coral one is more creamy.  Both formulas are gorgeous!  I will continue to use these during the spring and summer.

Beautyblender Bounce Foundation — I am still loving this foundation that I reviewed a few weeks ago.  My shade is 1.50.  It’s a fair/light foundation with a cool undertone.  It’s a perfect match for me and looks natural, but flawless on.

Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer — I received this in my February BoxyCharm.  I was so excited to try it, because I’ve heard such good things.  And…I love it!  Just a little goes a long way and it smooths out my skin and prepares it for foundation.  I apply sunscreen before primer, and my skin can get a bit greasy.  This primer brings that extreme glow down and makes my wrinkles and pores less noticeable. And my foundation looks amazing over it!

What products were you loving in March?  Any new discoveries?
