My poor skin has been suffering in this crazy cold weather! I swear that my forehead was so dry at one point, it looked like I had scales!

I have been blessed to receive some great skin products to help me get through the winter. And I have more to review as well — a part 2 will be coming soon!

Add two tablespoons to a bowl containing 4 cups of warm steaming water.

What I think: I love this aromatic steam. I have sensitive skin so I steamed my face for about 4 minutes. I noticed that afterwards, my skin was refreshed and soft. I did it at night and followed with a serum and night cream. I woke up with very soft skin the next day!

What I think: First of all this smells fantastic, it is very lightly scented with rosewater. This can be used on skin and hair — a great multi-tasker. What I think: I am loving both of these products, but especially the sunscreen. It is so moisturizing and I love the high SPF. It is a bit greasy, so a little goes a long way. The night cream is so decadent and feels fantastic on. These products are a great day/night duo and are affordable.

I Resolve to Take Care of My Skin in 2014!

Oh, skincare. It is a necessity that takes time, money and effort. I’ll admit that I get lazy sometimes and don’t want to take all of the steps for great skin. And my skin has suffered through the stressful holiday season. But since I am now forty-five, flirty and fabulous — I have to do my best!

What I think: I have tried other Meaningful Beauty products in the past and have really liked them, especially the cleanser! So, I was really excited to try this serum.

The serum is thick, and almost had the feel of a primer. When applied, it sinks right into my skin and leaves it feeling smooth and looking more even. I used it (all) for a few weeks and really like what it did to my skin, and was upset when it was empty! I feel that it made my fine lines less noticeable and my skin tone smooth and even. Prep and Moisturize For Soft Skin This Fall and Winter

I am already getting dry patches on my skin and it’s only the first of November! Sigh…it is time to really take care of my skin.

I was sent the products below for my honest review. They are:

What I think: I’ve always loved St. Ives. I’m not surprised that I am enjoying this scrub. The scent so good! Fresh and fruity. And the scrub leaves my face so soft. I exfoliate 2 or 3 times a week and this is gentle enough for my routine.

Mama Mio Love Your Life Lines ($48 USD) — This age-defying, light–reflecting cream works to smooth out and diminish existing lines and wrinkles, helping with deep level repair whilst protecting against new lines forming.

What I think: This is very light and is a great day cream. I haven’t seen evidence of my wrinkles diminishing yet (after a few weeks use in the morning), but it makes my skin bright and soft.

What I think: This cleanser is very gentle on the skin. Lots of cleansers leave my sensitive skin red, but this does not. It also doesn’t dry my skin out after use.

Intraceuticals Rejuvenate Contour Eye Gel ($125 USD) An ultra concentrated gel hydrator with double the concentration of hyaluronic acid, specifically formulated for the delicate eye area. Ultimate hydration and visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles.

What I think: I usually use eye creams, so this gel is a nice change of pace. It instantly cools and hydrates my eye area. After use for a few days, I noticed that the skin under my eyes looked smoother and a lot less puffy. I am hoping with use over time, it will help with my dark circles.
