This week, I’m all about taking care of my skin and hair. It seems like during the winter, my skin and hair needs extra help.

What I think: I have been using the Face cream in the morning before my sunscreen. I love the texture, it is creamy without being greasy. It also gives my face a glow. It feels nice when applied and my skin is super soft the next morning.

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of October 27 – November 2, 2014

What I think: These are all gorgeous products. My favorite is the CC Cream. It is a medium coverage foundation and applies very smoothly. I have noticed while trying a lot of BB and CC creams that they can have an orange cast to them and are almost balm-like, but this one is light and easy to blend. The color is great, too!

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of July 14th

We had a fairly cool week (mid to high 70’s) in Kansas City, and I have been loving it. It is heating up again (taking my girls to the water park this weekend), so we are trying to stay cool!

So what am I loving this week? A waterproof crème eyeliner, a BB cream for the body, a yummy-scented chocolate facial cleanser (seriously), a sweet and sultry summer fragrance, and a beautiful bronzer palette.

Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Envy — An ultra-smooth, water-proof creamy eye liner that applies with the ease and smooth silky finish of a gel and the precision of a liquid liner. Smudge and transfer-resistant, this long-wearing formula goes on “foolproof” with the Laura Mercier Angled Eye Liner Brush.

What I think: This is a brand new color from the new Sensual Reflections collection and it is here for a limited time only. I like the formula because it’s creamy and glides right on with an eyeliner brush. The color is a dark emerald and I think it will be perfect in the fall as well as now. This liner comes in other great colors such as Cobalt, a bright blue that is perfect for summer.

Face Stockholm Summer 2014 — Like the dark steel gray of an impending thunderstorm on a hot summer day, our look for summer is stormy and mysterious with a strong emphasis on the vivid Matte Orange lip. From the FACE Stockholm website, here is how to achieve the look:

For a clean and hydrated look for summer, start with FACE Stockholm BB Natural Beauty Balm ($38 USD). This can be applied with clean fingertips or a makeup brush (try FACE Stockholm Foundation Brush #34) for a flawless finish. I find that now that I am wearing short-sleeved shirts and capri’s and showing more skin, I really want it looking and feeling it’s best. So I have been using more moisturizing and fresh-smelling products than in winter.
