Get Your Beauty Routine Ready For Summer, Part 2

Part two of my summer prep spectacular brings body care and hair care! Time to moisturize that parched skin and hair!

What I think: This is so moisturizing without being greasy at all. It also soothes my dry skin. Our air conditioner wasn’t working for the last couple of days and as I work from home, I was stuck in front of a computer in 85 degrees. Well, my skin dried out, and this made it much softer. After my shower, I smoothed this lotion on and my skin went “aaaah”! Love! The only downside is that is smells kind of like hay. Not very fragrant, but good for my skin!

I like the Rainforest at Dusk the best. I wouldn’t call it flowery, more herbal and spicy. I don’t care for the Rainforest at Dusk because it smells a bit like soil, very foresty, though.

L’OCCITANE Mer & Mistral Body Milk ($20 USD, 6 fl. oz.) — This energizing gel moisturizes and refreshes the skin, leaving behind the aquatic and aromatic scent of the Mer & Mistral fragrance. What I think: This is a very light gel lotion and smells fantastic, really fresh and clean. It is a unisex scent, either for women or men, and I can see why. And it’s light enough for that guy who doesn’t like greasy lotions.

What I think: Love this flat iron! It works very well on my wavy hair. Plus it straightens and shines! I think this is an affordable way to really straighten hair and not damage it.

Prepare Your Hair For The Warm Days Ahead!

With spring around the corner, I am looking to turn up the volume, create beachy waves and tame my tresses. Since I live in Kansas City, I also have to worry about the coming humidity and how it affects my hair.

Fragrances And Bath Products to Transition to Spring

Spring is almost here! Time to put heavy fragrances away and to take care of your skin!

Is Your Hair Ready For Spring?

I have been wearing my hair in buns and ponytails so much lately. It’s so easy to do in the dark, cold, winter days.

But we had a beautiful day today! It was 72 degrees in Kansas City. I didn’t even wear a coat. The nice weather makes me want to change-up my whole look, including my dry, dull hair. I need some help, and the following products are awesome for making my winter hair look fresh!

What I think — I have tried the system once. I followed the directions, which is basically wash, condition, use the treatment, blow dry then straighten hair. My hair usually gets so frizzy when I blow dry (I usually air dry). This helped a little bit, but I want to try it again to see if I really notice a difference. Keep Hair Looking It’s Best this Winter

My hair has been in a sad, limp pony tail for a few months now. I do need to get it cut, but that won’t solve all of my problems.

As I age, I notice that my hair has been getting dull and thinner. But, luckily, there are lots of great products that can help with aging hair.

I was sent the following products for my honest review. Check them out!

Afterwards, apply a small amount of serum to your ends, for added softness and bounce. Zero Frizz coats the hair before styling, to protect it from heat and allow the natural oils to shine without the frizz.

What I think: I also like to use this on the ends of dry hair to separate and to and shine. Great product and so affordable!

LA Looks Define & Shine Hair Gel ($1.94 at www.walmart.com) – Love the shine of a serum but need the hold of a gel? This advanced formula coats and seals the hair cuticle to tame frizz while offering humidity-resistant resins that help smooth hair and Micro-Crystalline shine enhancers to deliver a luminous shine.

What I think: This is an affordable way to get hold and shine. I suggest that you use very little or it could get sticky. Great on damp hair before drying.
