My Beauty Favorites — Week of October 12-18, 2015

It’s still a little warm in Kansas City, but it’s starting to feel like Fall is here! I took my kids to the Renaissance Festival today and it was crazy! So many interesting people in elaborate costumes. It was so nice being outside, too!

I have an eclectic mix of favorites this week. From hydrating lip glosses with light-up lids, to a makeup bag that is perfect for travel to shampoo and body lotion that work well for sensitive skin.

What I think: The shampoo is really nice to use a few times a week. I have noticed hair growth yet, but I like how it makes my scalp feel clean and my hair so soft. What I think: The gorgeous plums and neutrals of the palette work perfectly with the berry EnergyNoir lip colors — which are my favorite items in the collection. I usually wear lighter colors on my lips, but these are so sheer and they remind me of Fall. I will definitely be wearing this collection over the next few months.

I am not much of a matte lip wearer, because they can feel dry on your lips. the matte LipSurgence leaves some moisture on the lip, which is needed during cooler weather. I like bare the most, because it is a great neutral, but tempted is nice with the EnergyNoir lip color over I. It makes a very pretty combo!

One of the most used products for me is the sculptor. The pencil is so creamy the you can draw lines all over the face and it blend seamlessly! My jaw and child benefit immensely from this pencil! I also contour my cheeks and the sides of my nose.

My Beauty Favorites Week of August 24-30, 2015

It’s getting hot again in Kansas City, but I have Fall on the brain! I am excited for cooler weather, deeper colors and the new boots I just ordered!

This week for beauty, I’m loving amazing skincare that works overnight, a lip crayon that’s like a balm, a sultry new fragrance and a shampoo that is safe for my color-treated hair.

What I think: I have Sheer Bliss and Pinky Swear and they both work well for a natural and sheer lip! They aren’t sticky at all and are very moisturizing. They do feel like a light balm. I now keep Sheer Bliss with me when I want a lip product with a little sheen, but not a lot of color. It’s perfect!

As Winter Winds Down, Take Care of Your Skin For Spring!

I am so glad that the weather has been nicer in Kansas City! My skin is still a bit dry, but I will probably need to use lighter moisturizers…eventually.

As the cold weather winds down and we see the sun, our skin is going to go through different challenges to stay smooth and clear, but we still need to take care of it.

Below are moisturizers and an exfoliator that is helping my skin stay smooth and hydrated.

What I think: This is such a cool product. It has a gel-texture and goes on lightly, but it is so hydrating. I suggest that if you need lots of moisture, use it over your night time moisturizer. If you only need a little moisture, apply instead on if. I have tried it both ways, and I wake up with dewy skin!

What I think: This works so well! It is very easy to use, just roll it over the rough patches of your feet and in a few minutes you get soft, smooth feet! My feet are usually so dry and rough during the winter, but they look summer ready now!
