Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of August 25th!

My last week of August was hot and exhausting, so glad it’s the long weekend! I have been trying products sent to me for review that are great for the end of summer.

This week I have been enjoying a yummy scented body wash, a night skin treatment, two amazing eye shadow brushes, spray to remove chlorine from hair, tinted brow gel and healthy wheat grass tablets (I am trying to get healthier).

What I think: I love all of the Neutrogena Rainbath washes, and this is one of my favorite scents. It’s fresh and sweet-scented, and my skin is clean and very soft after washing. I love using it as bubble bath.

Miracle Skin Transformer Triple Active Night Cream ($68.00 USD) — This multi-purpose cream combines the beauty benefits of three different creams, exfoliating skin, moisturizing and fighting daily environmental aggressors at once. What I think: I have been using this every night for about a week. When I apply it, it leaves sinks right into my skin, without leaving it greasy. In the morning, my skin is so soft and smooth. And very glowy! This is a good product if your skin is dry and dull.

What I think: Both of these brushes are now my favorite eye shadow brushes. The all over shadow brush works well from brow bone down to lashes and the crease brush is amazing! Gives just the right amount of pigment for my crease. Love! They are both made very well and are gorgeous!

What I think: This is a really nice brow gel that can help create the full brow look that is in right now. I love knowing that this is a product that can help the health of my brows. It’s also really easy to use, just swipe on with the brush and use the comb on the other end to tame your brows.

Pines Wheat Grass 250 Tablets ($18.95 USD for one bottle) — Pound for pound, PINES Wheat Grass is many times richer in chlorophyll and iron than spinach. Its protein level averages 25 percent and it contains virtually every vitamin known, along with 20 amino acids, including the eight that are considered essential for human health.

What I think: Wheat grass pills are such a healthy way to get so many essential vitamins. The only thing that I don’t care for is that you have to take 7 tablets a day to get the benefits. But, its worth it for this healthy supplement.

What I think: Being in my forties, I can really see a change in my neck skin. So it’s time to try a great cream! This one really moisturizes, but it is a bit heavy. I think it will be wonderful for the colder months. Now, I apply it very lightly in upward strokes and am seeing a difference on the lines and wrinkles on my neck.

My kids went back to school this week! My daughter Olivia is in 5th grade and my daughter Abby is a freshman in high school! Time goes by so quickly!

During this fun, but emotional week, I have been loving a luxe new mascara, tropical lime-scented body products, a dark-circle buster, waterproof bright eyeliner, and a light skincare line.

What I think: This is such a cool product! I have been using it for a couple of weeks. When I apply it, it imparts a lightening effect and my dark circles look instantly better. What I think: This is such a fun summer color! I have been enjoying using it in the heat and humidity because it doesn’t budge! I would definitely love to try darker colors for fall.

What I think: This matte cream bronzer is an easy way to add some color this summer (or all year ’round). It is very natural looking. You can use it all over for a sunny glow. I like to use it as contour. I apply it in the hollows of my cheeks and along my jawbone for definition and shadows. It is easy to build up darker color if you wish.

We have had a pretty hot week here in Kansas City, but it is finally cooling down a little, yay! I am still trying out new summer products to help me with the heat.

This week, I have been enjoying a facial cleansing oil, a gorgeous makeup up palette inspired by a new film, a refillable brush for my favorite powders, natural dental hygiene products, crunchy dried fruit snacks, and a cooling face cream.

Hello Mouthwash Pink Grapefruit Mint ($4.99 USD ) — Helps clean and freshen the mouth. This mouthwash is free of alcohol, artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, and doesn’t cause mouth pain. It is never tested on animals.

What I think: I’m loving this cool line of dental hygiene products. They currently have mouthwash, toothpaste and breath spray in Pink Grapefruit mint, Mojito Mint and Supermint. I like all three flavors — they are like nothing I have tried before! I love that they are natural, and not too strong. LOVE!

Crispy Green Crispy Fruit ($1.59 USD for 1 .36 oz. bag, you can also buy in larger bags) — Crispy Fruit snacks are 100% freeze-dried fruit slices that are made of real fruit and nothing else. What I think: Yum! I tried all six flavors: Apple, Asian Pear, Tangerine, Banana, Mango and Pineapple and like them all. My favorites were the banana and pineapple. I would definitely purchase these again for myself and my family for healthy snacks!

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of July 14th

We had a fairly cool week (mid to high 70’s) in Kansas City, and I have been loving it. It is heating up again (taking my girls to the water park this weekend), so we are trying to stay cool!

So what am I loving this week? A waterproof crème eyeliner, a BB cream for the body, a yummy-scented chocolate facial cleanser (seriously), a sweet and sultry summer fragrance, and a beautiful bronzer palette.

Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Envy — An ultra-smooth, water-proof creamy eye liner that applies with the ease and smooth silky finish of a gel and the precision of a liquid liner. What I think: This is a great product and a great deal right now. It includes two gorgeous brushes along with the palette. The colors are soft and build really well and used together, really make the skin glow. I also like to use the bronzer and highlighter on my neck and décolleté.

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of July 7th

Hi all! I posted this last week and think I am going to make it a regular feature! I try so many new products each week, I think it’s nice to highlight my favorites.

This week, I have been loving a new drugstore mascara, an acne treatment, new sunglasses (needed), kajal eyeliners (hot trend), a luxe face oil and a sheer red lip. What have you been loving this week?

L’Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara ($7.99 USD) — L’Oreal Paris introduces new Voluminous Miss Manga mascara featuring the 360 flexor brush to build bold volume with high intensity from top to bottom. For the first time, L’Oreal Paris creates a flexible brush with a unique conical shape to catch those hard to reach lashes with an incredibly even application. The Mega Impact Formula instantly builds oversized volume for 15X lash volume in a flash. Top lashes are amplified and bottom lashes maximized for the ultimate wide-eyed Manga Look.

What I think: I love trying new mascaras — and the mascara wand on this is different than any other I have used. Not only is it conical-shaped, it moves to the side when you use it. It took a couple of times, but if I apply it carefully, I get super long and voluminous lashes! It isn’t waterproof and has been running a bit in the Kansas City humidity, so I can’t wear it daily, but is perfect for special occasions.

What I think: My skin is pretty clear right now, so I gave this to my 18 year-old daughter who has broken out this summer. She has been using it morning and night after cleansing, and her skin is so much clearer after only a week of use! She will continue to use it and I know she will continue to see results. ICU Eyewear Blue Modern Cat Eye Metallic Temple Sunglasses ($21.95 USD) — These sunglasses are true beauties because the oversized frame give you more coverage and better protection from the sun. There’s a couple more reasons why these sunnies will make you bat your eyelashes; they are polarized which minimize squinting in bright sun conditions and they are 100% UV A and B protective so they’ve got your back and will protect the soft tissue around your eyes from being exposed to harmful rays.

What I think: Loving these cool sunnies! From the front, they look like classic black cat eye sunglasses, but when I turn to the side, the blue metallic gives the frames an extra kick of style! They also really block the sun well. LOVE!

Physician’s Formula Kajal Eyeliner Trio Nude Eyes in Natural ($11.99 USD) — Custom Eye enhancing kohl kajal eyeliner trio by Physicians Formula; ultra dramatic definition, 100 percent waterproof wear. Includes a black, brown and nude liner.

What I think: I am really digging the Kajal trend! These liners are so easy to use. The handle make for easy maneuvering and the liners glide on easily and are very pigment. The nude is great on the waterline and the black is so rich and gorgeous!

Vichy Neovadiol Elixir ($55 USD) — Precious Replenishing Oil Concentrate contains a unique blend of omega-rich oils to help restore essential lipids lost due to hormonal aging. Immediately nourishes the skin with moisture. Leaves skin visibly plumped, smooth and radiant.

What I think: I have been using this oil at night before I apply my face cream. In the morning, my face is so smooth and soft! Keeps me looking young in my mid-forties.

Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour in Sexy ($25 USD) — The light-as-air formula feels completely weightless on lips. What I think: I don’t usually wear red lip color, but this is very sheer and is pretty for going out in the summer time. It looks especially nice on me since I am no longer ghostly white! It also very moisturizing on my lips and doesn’t dry them out at all.

Product Round-Up — My Favorite Beauty Things This Week!

I have been trying so many great beauty items this week. From nail care to skincare to a fab concealer, these summer products have really helped my beauty routine in the heat.
