Since school has started for my kids, I find that I have a bit more time for relaxation.
This week I have been loving products that work well for a relaxing bath or hot shower. They include a mood setting candle, relaxing bubble bath, luxe shower gel with gold and shampoo and conditioner to thicken my hair:
C.O. Bigelow Musk Scented Candle
C.O. Bigelow Musk Scented Candle ($42 USD) — Light the lead-free wick and the cult-classic fragrance of C.O. Bigelow Smooth Musk Perfume Oil permeates the air. This beloved fragrance opens with Iced Bergamot and evolves to a core of Ylang Ylang, Muguet Petals, and Patchouli, before finishing with dry notes of Vanilla Bean, White Cedar, and Pearlized Musk.

What I think: This is a sultry and soothing scent that reminds me of my teens and early 20’s. But it is way more modern than the classic musk scents. It’s so nice when taking a bath or just relaxing in the evening. It lasts a very long time, too!
Soap & Paper Factory Lavender Bubble Bath ($32 USD) — This super luxe bubble bath is super skin softening and so bubbly!! The fragrances are so unique, each one possessing qualities to relax and nurture, while our deluxe packaging and attention to detail make the bubble baths a perfect gift! Paraben and Sulfate Free, of course! This scent has notes of Lavender, Bergamot & Clove.
Top note: spicy nutmeg oil.

What I think: Another sultry scent, this luxe body wash has little flakes of gold in it. The scent seems unisex to me, because it is a bit spicy. It lathers well and leaves skin soft. Great for the whole family!

What I think: This is such a luxurious kit! You open it up and all of the products are nestled inside. Purchasing a drugstore kit does not get you the barrier cream, wipe, cap and two pairs of gloves! And I use all of those things. After coloring, my skin has not been stained and I am good to go!
The color itself has a very light odor, which is good. It is easy to mix and apply. The color I received for review was Bolzano Brown – 4NMG. Dark mahogany brown with hints of gold. It was pretty, but I didn’t really see mahogany or gold, just a deep, dark brown. And it lasted a few weeks, but I can see the gray at my temples again. I left it on for a little longer than it suggested, too because my gray are stubborn.
I think this is a very nice kit, if a little spendy. Maybe it’s best for those who do not need to cover a lot of gray.

Today was the hottest day of the week in Kansas City. I think it’s got up to 97, but with humidity, it felt much hotter!

What I think: This is my perfect summer foundation! The lightest color is light/medium, which is too dark for me usually, but in the summer it’s the perfect color when I get a bit of a tan. It also covers so well and blends nicely.

What I think: I love using Alterna products because they work so well in my hair. These products in particular are amazing for the summer because they condition, volumize and protect my hair. The CC Cream is a popular product and I can see why, it has transformed my hair. It’s made it so soft and bouncy! I spray the volume mist at the roots of my hair when it’s damp, dry it and I have so much volume. Plus the heat protection spray is a must with hair dryers and straighteners.

What I think: These masks are pretty amazing! I am a big fan of gel masks and these are some of the bests I have tried. The Anti-Gravity Lifting Face Mask is my favorite because it left my skin very smooth and helped lessen the appearance of pores and wrinkles. The Radiance Brightening Face Mask made my skin glow and the Intense Hydrating Face Mask is wonderful for dry skin.
Hair is so difficult to style in the summer. I just want to wash and go with no fuss, but it takes extra work to achieve volume and banish the frizz!

What I think: This is wonderful on my sensitive skin. Applied with a cotton pad, it easily removes makeup, even eye makeup. It doesn’t irritate my eyes, which is a big plus! I love how clean and soft my skin is after use!

And Beach Freak is perfect for detangling wind-blown, beachy hair!

I received a shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, black soap face bar, super face cream, a bath bomb, and a body lotion. All of these products smell wonderful and have really natural scents.
One of my favorites is the body lotion. The ingredients include raw coconut, acai, dragon fruit, lavender and African cucumber. It’s so hydrating, but sinks right into my skin without feeling greasy. The bath bomb is fun to use before applying the lotion.
The shampoo and conditioner are sulfate free along with organic and natural. That’s important for me, because I color my hair. They also leave hair soft and silky, and smell amazing, too!
I love that you can customize your bundle each month. That way you can try new products while continuing using your favorites.
We are completely into spring now, with summer on it’s way. And as it has been getting warmer (and more humid in Kansas City), my hair has been crying out for some TLC!

What I think: Both of these products from this new line smell amazing! I love the sleek design of the bottles, too. Very luxe! Plus, I am very happy how soft and shiny they leave my hair. It is important to me to have manageable hair that is not frizzy, and the conditioner was moisturizing without weighing my hair down.

I like using it once or twice a week. The Huile Supreme is a light oil that leaves hair soft and frizz-free. It is nice as a finishing oil.

What I think: I love this deep conditioning mask. I apply it after I wash my hair and leave it on for about 15 minutes. It leaves my hair so soft and frizz free. This has a spicy scent that isn’t too strong, but different than any hair product I have used. It’s great to use a couple of times a week to keep hair looking bouncy and shiny!

And like our varied weather, I love to try all sorts of different types of beauty products! This week I was send a gorgeous lip oil in a fun shaker, luxe skincare and beautiful hair care to review. These are what I am loving this week:

I might have to pick up some more!

What I think: These products are fantastic in fighting pollutants on our skin. The cleanser exfoliates so well, skin is soft and clear after used. The claim is that the serums sync with our biorhythms. I don’t know if that’s true, but they do sink into the skin quickly and leave it with a nice glow. Wonderful for use under your favorite moisturizers!

What I think: This kit is so luxe! I loved using it, it came with everything and more I needed to color my hair — including color-safe shampoo and conditioner, a hair cap and wipes to remove color from skin. My hair was soft, shiny and gorgeous after used. I chose Napoli Brown – 5NGV. My hair is dark brown, and this had golden highlights which is so pretty. It comes in 32 shades.
