CLEAN Bath and Body Collection

I love the CLEAN family of fragrances. The reason why is because that even though they are all fresh and comforting, they are also all distinctly different. So when I found out that CLEAN had introduced a bath and body collection, I was so excited! Plus I really wanted to try their new technology, Cotton Vantage which is based on cotton seeds, extracts and proteins that self-adjusts to soothe, smooth and moisturize skin.

The products are generously sized and include Bath and Shower Gel, Soft Body Lotion, Body Butter, Body Veil, and Dry Shampoo.

I tried:Fresh Laundry Bath and Shower Gel ($24.00 for 18.5 oz) — is a refreshingly light foaming cleanser enriched with cotton extracts, moisturizing aloe and botanicals to gently cleanse so it doesn’t leave skin feeling stripped and dry. Notes of Brazilian Orange, Night Blooming White Jasmine and Cotton Blossom relax you and rejuvenate the senses. Dermatologically tested. Also available in Shower Fresh and Warm Cotton.

What I think: I love the scent but recommend only using this as a shower gel. This doesn’t translate into a bubble bath, because it does not foam under water (I love my baths!). The big bottle will last a long time and keep you smelling great in the shower.

Warm Cotton Soft Body Lotion ($34.00 for 18.5 oz) — is a luxurious formula enriched with cotton extracts, vitamins A & E, cocoa butter, coconut and olive oil to help hydrate and replenish your skin’s natural moisture barrier. Notes of Citrus, Lilac and Musk relax you and rejuvenate the senses. Non-greasy and dermatologically tested. Also available in Fresh Laundry and Shower Fresh.

What I think: This is a very moisturizing (and non-greasy) lotion. Warm Cotton is one of my favorite CLEAN scents, and it lingers on the skin all day. Layer it with Warm Cotton perfume, or another light scent. Very nice!

Original Scent Moisture Absorbent Fresh Body Veil ($28.00 for 3.8 oz) — is not your grandmother’s powder! This next-generation lightweight body powder creates an invisible, delicate veil between skin and clothing, wicking away moisture continuously throughout the day to help prevent wetness and protect delicate fabric. The time-released fragrance keeps you smelling fresh all day long, while you stay cool and dry.

What I think: This is the perfect summer product for those of us who live in humid climes. It comes with a puff that I use to lightly dust before dressing. It keeps me dry and sweet-smelling! Right now it is only available in Original CLEAN scent, but maybe in the future they will release it in others.

What I think: While I can tell if it is killing germs, I love the idea of an unseen 4 hour protection. I am traveling out of the country at the end of summer, and this will be perfect to take with me. I like that it is unscented, and it is not greasy but very moisturizing. I also think it is a good value for what it claims to do. I definitely recommend this, especially for working outdoors, camping or travel.

I have tried the Ala Moana Hand Wash, and it reminds me of my honeymoon in Hawaii many years ago. The scent of the flowers takes me away every time I wash my hands! Very nice!

Mineral Fusion Body Care

It’s rare lately for me to find new types of beauty products that I haven’t sampled. I’ve tried mineral makeup before, but never mineral bath and body care. Adhering to their slogan, “Minerals on a Mission”, Mineral Fusion has created a new bath and body line, and I was lucky to try their Mineral Body Wash and Mineral Body Lotion.

The Mineral Body Wash contains mineral extracts plus mineral-rich clay to help absorb excess oil and remove impurities. It is infused with Vitamins A, B, C and E for added nourishment. It is available in the following three varieties as described by the Mineral Fusion website:

Earthstone: This herbaceous blend comprises rosemary and geranium with hints of patchouli and cedarwood for a clean impression. Woodsy and clean.

Sunstone: Crisp white cassis berries make this blend surprisingly fresh with a sprinkle of pink ginger and vanilla. Completely refreshing with a tiny hint of sweetness.
