My Beauty Favorites Week of May 18-May 24, 2015

My kids just got out of school for summer break on Friday, so our summer has started! Between planning how to keep them busy and our road trip to Yellowstone, I am getting so excited for warmer weather and fun! What I think: These products are essential for summer mishaps! Their portable sizes are perfect for first aid kits for travel and to keep at home. My kids (and husband) always come to me with boo-boo’s, and the Q’urSkin is like an effective spray bandaid. The Q’urBurn relieves the pain (campfire’s anyone?) and the Q’urFollica does help with razor burn!

They all have a lovely light floral scent. Used together, the skin care leaves my skin soft and glowing. The CC cream starts out white and blends to my skin tone. It gives a nice light coverage and my skin is smooth and even with use.

I use it in place of shampoo and conditioner, I just work it in my wet hair, leave it in for a few minutes and rinse. My hair is soft and manageable afterwards and is not left dry by shampoo.

My Beauty Favorites Week of May 11-May 17, 2015

It’s getting close to summer in Kansas City. Hot, humid and stormy! But, I am still loving trying new products, especially ones that will make me look and feel fabulous to and through summer.

This week I’m loving a new holistic makeup brand, a fast new hair dryer, and skin-smoothing skincare and an amazing smelling bath oil.

What I think: I have been testing the Transceutical Canvas, the Innocent Foundation and the Lip Gloss Crème. The canvas is like a primer that leaves your skin glowing and keeps makeup looking fresh all day. The foundation is a little sheer for me, but the canvas keeps it on all day. I think it will be perfect in the summer when I don’t want to wear heavy foundation. And, I love the lip gloss! It is very moisturizing and stays on for a while. The color is sheer, but very pretty!

What I think: This oil is really fun to use. In the shower it turns in to a foam and after you wash, it rinses clean. My skin is left soft and smooth. Plus, the scent is amazing it is both warm and sweet.

What I think: These are so much fun to spritz on! They are fun scents that can be layered together. I like combining a sultry scent like the Vanilla or Twilight Mist with The Sweet Berry Fantasy or Pink Sweet Pea.

My Beauty Faves Week of March 9-15, 2015

It has been so warm, dry and wonderful in Kansas City this week! I have been wearing short sleeves and really need to paint my toenails! But it is going to turn cold and rainy by the end of the week, boo!

So, I am trying to get my skin and hair ready for the spring, along with finding a new fragrance and foundation/skincare.

This week I have been loving a new unisex fragrance, a skincare foundation, a clarifying body cream and color-saving hair products!

EAU DE GAGA by Lady Gaga ($34 for 1.7 fl. oz.)– EAU DE GAGA is Lady Gaga’s first unisex fragrance. It is built around a beautiful heart of white violet, an intoxicating flower that fuses female and male attractions. The scent opens with an invigorating burst of sparkling lime to counterbalance the woody-floral intensity, and evolves into a sensual trail based on leather.

What I think: I really like this unisex scent. I think it is perfect for women who like a woodsier scent and it would smell great on any man. Plus, it’s a fun thought to be able to share your fragrance with your guy!

Algenist Repairing Tint & Radiance Moisturizer SPF 30 ($42 USD) — Algenist’s Repairing Tint & Radiance Moisturizer SPF 30 combines key microalgae ingredients to deliver great professional color and biotechnology skincare. What I think: I’ve never tried a product like this. It applies kind of like a CC cream as it has a thick texture and gives a medium coverage, but it is buildable for heavier coverage. But, the cool thing about this cream is after a few days of use my skin looked so good! The redness and enlarged pores I have been dealing with have been greatly improved.
