I was sent a wonderful package of derma e natural and organic skincare for my honest review.

Most of their products are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten free, GMO-free. I love trying new natural, but effective skincare. And I am loving this line.

Some of my favorites items that I received are:

Purifying Gel Cleanser ($15.50 USD) — Lather away sweat, oil and toxin buildup for a clean, refreshed, glowing complexion with this refreshing detox cleanser. Doctor developed and clinically tested, this fragrance-free, sulfate-free and pH balanced formula contains some of the most powerful minerals and natural toxin fighters from the earth and from the sea. Ideal for oily, active or urban skin types, even safe for reactive skin (minimal ingredients and allergy-tested). I think it’s perfect for the summer. My skin gets oilier as the weather turns warmer and I need a good cleanser to really clean it without drying it out. I find this formula refreshes my skin and leaves it glowing!

Microdermabrasion Scrub ($32.50 USD) — Immediately improve the appearance of your skin using this gentle yet effective multi-award-winning Microdermabrasion Scrub. This salon-perfect formula uses an exclusive crystal blend including Dead Sea Salt and Volcanic Sand (rich in Silica) to buff away dull surface cells, help diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars, and absorb excess skin oils. I love that this is gentle on my sensitive skin. After use, my skin is soft and smooth and not irritated at all. This is good to use a couple of times a week to keep skin clear and smooth.

Overnight Peel ($18.75 USD) — Reveal dramatically fresher, newer skin overnight with this skin-brightening blend of glycolic sugar cane and fruit acids. It contains 5% Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) for safe, effective removal of dead surface skin cells. With every use, skin tone becomes more radiant, pigmentation is evened and age spots are visibly diminished. This is probably my favorite derma e product, and it is so affordable for what it does. I either apply it on clean skin or over any serum at night and in the morning my skin is fresh, even-toned and my pores appear smaller! Amazing! I use it every other night and it is non-irritating.

Purifying Youth Serum ($29.50 USD) — Shield skin against environmental and age damage, and revitalize a dull appearance with this concentrated, mineral-rich treatment formula.(exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, heavy metals). Ideal for oily, active or urban skin types, even safe for reactive skin (minimal ingredients and allergy-tested), this formula protects and revives skin for a healthy, glowing, more youthful looking complexion. This light, cream serum sinks right into my skin. It gives a nice glow. I use it twice a day before moisturizer.

Firming DMAE Eye Lift ($24.95 USD) — Visibly lift, firm and tighten the delicate eye area while smoothing crow’s feet with this doctor-developed, multi-action eye treatment crème that contains advanced, clinically proven natural ingredients. A surge of cooling eye moisture helping leave skin soft, smooth, tone and rehydrated. With continued use, this pro-collagen and pro-elastin blend leaves the delicate eye area firmer, smoother and younger-looking.

Get Your Skin Ready For Summer!

I love today’s skincare! Innovative new products are always one-upping the last one and I have to admit, the winner is my skin! I am getting in the upper 40’s and my skin is still smooth and fairly firm, and I don’t have wrinkles (yet).

Below are my current favorite skin care going into summer. They include a nourishing essence, restoring eye gel patches, an SPF moisturizer that brightens my skin and a deep, skin-plumping moisturizer.

Lancôme Énergie de Vie Pearly Lotion ($56 6.7 fl. oz, USD) — Pearly Lotion represents the refreshing step that revives skin in the morning. This surprising lotion is composed of a myriad of translucent and evanescent pearls of multiple sizes. On the skin, the nourishing feel of an oil is paired with the intense freshness of a water, for a splash of energy. Énergie de Vie captures a combination of two plant extracts – Lemon Balm and Goji Berry.

What I think: I have been using this in the morning after cleansing. It smells and feels so refreshing on! It instantly sinks into my skin and moisturizes. Some days, I use it instead of my morning serum. This is especially nice in the summer when it is hot and I want to use less products.

Masque Bar Hydro Gel Eye Dark Spot Eye Patches ($29.99 for 30 pairs) — The beautifully gold toned masques come in 30 pairs, and are perfect to use daily for one transformational month or as needed to de-puff under-eyes and ease fine lines and dark circles. The lightweight serum infuses key ingredients into the delicate eye area without irradiation for under-eye skin that looks youthfully dewy and revitalized!

What I think: It is so important to treat under the eyes, because they can really show the age! These little gold patched are and instant refresher. You can use all thirty pairs in one month or space them out. I use them when I need to look like I’ve got more sleep than I have! They smooth and brighten instantly.

MD Complete’s Radiance Renewing Deep Moisturizer ($39.99 1.7 fl. oz.) — Luxurious moisturizer that instantly & deeply hydrates. Brightens skin tone for a more radiant complexion. What I think: This is a fabulous night cream. It is so creamy, but not greasy at all, it sinks right into my skin. I apply it after my serum at night and my skin is glowing in the morning! My skin texture is also better with use, it is smoother.

What I think: I love taking a little luxury with me when I travel. All three of these products are so useful on a trip. I only use day cream with SPF and the Absolue Premium Bx is also very hydrating. It also sinks right into the skin, which is important before applying makeup.

The Bi-Facil is a classic Lancôme favorite. Bringing this and some cotton pads will remove stubborn eye makeup. And the Définicils really lengthen and define the lashes.

What I think: These products are a bit of luxury for your hair! There are different kits available for different hair types. For curly hair there is shampoo, a hair mask for condition and the Huile is a nice oil to help keep curly hair soft and bouncy!

After about 15 minutes, it stung a bit so I had to remove it. Once I did and rubbed in the serum. My skin felt better and was smooth. Hours later it looked even better! Great to stick in your bag when going to the beach this summer.

What I think: I LOVE this peel! When I applied it, it was a dark wine color and smelled (and felt, it has seeds), like rubbing smooshed berries on my face. And my face was glowing! I have only used it once, but I think I will use it once a week to resurface my skin gently! Great for sensitive skin!

Last Minute Mother’s Day Beauty Gifts

My Beauty Favorites — Week of April 25-May 1, 2016

We have had a stormy, rainy week in Kansas City! It looks like this week should be a lot warmer and sunnier. You never know what type of weather you will have here!

And like our varied weather, I love to try all sorts of different types of beauty products! This week I was send a gorgeous lip oil in a fun shaker, luxe skincare and beautiful hair care to review. These are what I am loving this week:

Lancôme Juicy Shaker ($21 USD) –Shake it up with the latest innovation: Juicy Shaker’s bi-phase technology delivers the first pigmented lip oil with 2 distinct phases. The first phase is a transparent oil phase for a comfortable non-sticky shine. The second is the pigment phase for a shot of color. What I think: These products are fantastic in fighting pollutants on our skin. The cleanser exfoliates so well, skin is soft and clear after used. The claim is that the serums sync with our biorhythms. I don’t know if that’s true, but they do sink into the skin quickly and leave it with a nice glow. Wonderful for use under your favorite moisturizers!

Brand Review: Trufora Organic Skincare

What I think: I have been testing these products for a couple of weeks and am really enjoying them. I love how it is a complete system that works so well together. My skin is so hydrated and smooth. It has also evened out my skin tone and my fine lines are a lot less noticeable.

One of my favorite products is the Exfoliator. It works in three ways: Chemical exfoliation from AHAs and BHAs is combined with physical exfoliation from Bamboo along with a deep, cleansing mask action from Kaolin clay. I use is a few times a week and it has really cleansed my skin and leaves it so soft! My pores look smaller, too!

I also love the Night Serum and Treatment. The serum is creamy and instantly sinks into my skin when applied. The treatment is a bit richer. Both leave my skin feeling amazing, really soft. And by the morning, my skin looks fresh and glowing.

The one product I’m still trying to figure out is the Titanium Day Cream. It’s a dark pinky-brown, which kind of shocked me when I first used it! My skin is very light and it darkened it a bit, and left it a little sparkly. If I put foundation and powder over it, it looks better. But, I don’t know if I will continue using it.

I will use all of the other products. I love that they are natural and organic. I feel like I’m feeding my skin great ingredients when I use them. I would purchase most of these products in the future!
