Effective Skin Care For Anti-Aging Skin Troubles!

I review a lot of anti-aging skin care. I love being able to review different products and the fact that I will be 45 this year (I know), I feel the need to try as much as I can for my awesome readers as well as myself!

Unfortunately, aging does not only show itself in wrinkles. There are so many wonderful (ha!) skin problems that we encounter as we age such as enlarged pores, redness, sensitivity and dark spots.

Most of the products below help more than one symptom of aging skin and may help you look even more radiant than you do now!

Algenist Multi-Perfecting Pore Corrector Concentrate ($75 USD) — Formulated with Alguronic Acid and multi-perfecting ingredients (salicylic acid, oligosaccharides), this oil-free serum has a unique lightweight texture that instantly tightens pores, smoothes roughness and refines skin texture. I have recently tried a couple of products from Joey New York. This is a brand that was around years ago and is making a return. Their products have the trendy ingredient coconut water, which is unusual in skincare. Here is the description of the brand from their website, www.joeynewyork.com:

I think this is a good product for a special occasion or an evening out. I don’t think I could handle the tightness every day.

With this combination, my skin is looking gorgeous lately. The brush leaves my skin SO soft and smooth and my pores are less noticeable. I also haven’t had a breakout since I have used it. Fab!

What I think: I have been using this cream at night over serum. I smooth it over my face and neck. What I think: This is a light and airy cream that feels like a drink of moisture on my skin. I’m always afraid to use creams (instead of a lighter lotion) on my face in the summer, since my skin is oilier at this time of the year. This cream is not greasy or heavy and feels fantastic when I use it at night. I notice that my skin seems glowy and smoother right after I apply it. I don’t have tons of wrinkles, so I can’t say if it reduces wrinkles, but I can say that my skin looks better after I use it.

I love that so many new skincare companies use natural ingredients and limit the use of preservatives. Boscia is a brand based in Yokohama, Japan, that creates preservative-free, botanically-based skincare. I have recently tried some of these wonderful products and they make my skin look as beautiful as the natural ingredients they use to make them!

What I think: This cream is very light yet nourishing on my skin. I have noticed that immediately after use my skin looks smoother and a few weeks after use, it seems brighter. I also think the price is very reasonable for the quality of the product.

What I think: I really love this light and soothing eye cream. I have been using it every morning and every night. Like all eye creams, I smooth it under my eye, at the outer corner of my eye and under my eyebrow. It is absorbed into my skin very quickly and leaves my eyes looking lifted and awake. Over time, it has diminished the dark circles under my eyes, which are my main area of concern around my eyes.
