Brand Review — Comfort Zone Skincare

I was lucky enough to be sent an assortment of products from Comfort Zone for my honest review. This is an Italian Brand of luxe, anti-aging skincare that I have been loving! On their website, they explain:

One of the collections I tried is Sublime Skin, which claims to renew, replump, and firm skin. One of the products I have been testing is the Sublime Skin Cream, a replumping firming moisturizer. It feels really nice when I apply and has a soft floral scent. It does contain extracts of peony and other natural ingredients. I apply it at night and by morning my skin is soft, firmer and ready for the day. I also love Sublime Skin Rich Cream, for when my skin needs extra moisture and the Sublime Skin Serum which is creamy and leaves skin firm and glowing!

Renight Recover Cream

Renight Recover Cream — A soft rich night cream with antioxidant and protective actions for dehydrated, depleted and stressed skins. I use this a couple of nights a week. It’s a great treatment when my skin just doesn’t look right, you know, blotchy, patchy, very dry. I apply it over a serum and by morning my skin looks and feels better.

It contains Goji berry oil, hyaluronic acid, and lycopene. The Goji berry is a precious fruit originating in Tibet and which traditionally has miraculous anti-aging attributes. The oil extracted from the berry has a very high concentration of anitoxidants, more so than other fruit. The hyaluronic acid, with its high molecular weight, hydrates the skin and has a protective action against skin aging. Lycopene enhances the antioxidant action of Goji berry oil, ensuring its properties are not destroyed on account of environmental pollution.

The line also includes the Renight Vitamin Invigorator face oil and the Renight Dermo-Filler line filling concentrate.

Sacred Nature Body Butter — A deeply nourishing and shielding action on skin DNA, skin regains smoothness and elasticity, extending youthfulness of the tissues. Includes butterfly tree extract, buriti oil, karitè butter, organic orange distilled water and jojoba oil.

This smells amazing and it so rich on my dry skin. I love that it’s not greasy and I like to use it after a shower to lock the moisture in and at night.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of December 7-13, 2015

I love the holiday season, I do. But it wreaks havoc on my skin! Colder air, eating poorly and stress make my skin dull and splotchy. That’s why good skin care is so important now, not just in the new year.

My faves this week are all amazing skincare products. They include a hydrating essence, an overnight skin rejuvenator, nourishing apple skin care and a moisturizing pumpkin mask:

Kalologie Envison Eye Cream ($90 USD) — Envision addresses the full range of eye area concerns. Haloxyl dissipates dark circles, while caffeine treats puffiness. Peptides, antioxidants and hydrators and smoothes fine lines and wrinkles, preserving the delicate eye area.

What I think: I have been using this eye cream for about a week now, day and night. I am enjoying how it instantly hydrates the eye area. That of course makes the fine lines less noticeable. My dark circles do look a little less obvious, but I will keep using it longer hoping to see even more changes.

What I think: I like to use this on my hair after blow drying it. It usually is a little dry and frizzy afterward. A little of this serum rubbed between my palms and applied to my hair restores shine and bounce!

La Bella Rose Hip Oil with Vitamin E ($4.99 USD) — For smooth, wrinkle-free skin, try La Bella Rose Hip Oil and Vitamin E! What I think: This oil hydrates so well! I like to use it on my hands and elbows. I have begun applying it to stretch marks and we will see how well it works! It also smells really nice, like a musky floral. The only thing I think needs improvement is the bottle. It needs a better pouring method as it is just open and if it spills, it will get everywhere.

What I think: I am a little squeamish when it comes to snail extract, even though it is supposed to be a skincare wonder. I tried it on the back of my hand and found that it dried down quickly and left my skin very soft. I might have to try it on my face now to see if it helps with my fine lines and redness.

Switch Up Your Skincare Routine For Fall

I use different skincare products different times of the year. For example, when the air turns cooler and drier I tend to use heavier moisturizers and oils. The air is so dry in the Fall and Winter in Kansas City, so I need to hydrate!

I have been sent the following skincare for my honest review:

I think these will be wonderful when it’s cold and dry out.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of October 5-11, 2015

We are already well into October, can you believe it? It was 85 today, but I’m hoping it cools down soon and stays cool!

This week, I’m loving a long wearing brow pencil, a volume-building hair product, an ultra-moisturizing hand cream and a supplement that will help prevent sun damage in skin.

Smashbox Brow Tech Matte Pencil ($21 USD) –A brow pencil with an ultra-fine point that allows you to mimic hairs to extend your brows and fill in sparseness. Benefits are that it’s long wearing, non smudging, water resistant, sweat & humidity resistant.

Umbreen Sheikh of Wink Brow Bar in NYC has shared her tips on shaping / perfecting your brows which can helpful when using the Smashbox items. They include not overdoing it even though bold brows are in.

What I think: This is very easy to use. I use feathery stroke. The main thing I do is fill in the tail of my brow, and then use the spoolie brush to blend it in and make it look natural.

What I think: I really like using this product, it gives great volume and leaves my hair soft and shiny! I use it on dry hair, but want to see what it does when I apply it on wet hair, too. It also smells really nice and holds style well.

What I think: I love the scent of this! It’s wonderful! Plus, it is so moisturizing and not greasy at all, which is perfect for a hand cream. It leaves my hands soft and silky all day!

What I think: I really like the idea of this product. The effects of sun damage on skin can be severe, and if this helps skin stay smooth and supple, that’s amazing!

What I Think: the Cleansing Lotion is so gentle. It also leaves my skin insanely soft after use. Perfect to use twice a day. I use the Oxygen Treatment Crème every evening before my night cream. When I wake up, my skin is soft and glowing. And the Ionic Mist is so refreshing. I use it after cleanser. All of these products have a mild, earthy scent.

What I think: The combination of all three of these products leave my skin so soft and glowing. The texture of my skin is so much smoother and younger looking. This is great for night or day with an SPF as the last step.
