Brand Review — CBD Living

Hi all! I’m here with a different type of brand review for me.  I recently received bath products from CBD Living for my honest review.

I haven’t tried many products infused with hemp-derived CBD, so I was curious to try these.

I do know that claim with this ingredient is that it helps with physical pain and mental issues such as depression and anxiety.  As a women going through the change of life, I have plenty of both, so I was excited to try these!
The products I received are:

CBD Lavender Soap ($14 USD) is made from 100% natural ingredients and coconut oil, and is infused with nano-CBD for easy absorption. Lavender is used for relieving stress, promoting a sense of calm, helping with sleep and reducing skin irritations, such as sunburn and eczema.

I really enjoy this soap.  It’s creamy and lathers nicely.  The scent is such a nice mild lavender.  And it’s a really pretty color!

CBD Living Lotion ($40 USD) is a new product for the company. It comes in three scents: Invigorating eucalyptus, relaxing lavender and unscented for those with sensitive skin. A 16 oz bottle contains 250 mg of nano-CBD, created from 100% organic hemp grown in Colorado, and is vegan and cruelty-free.

I received this in Eucalyptus.  I thought the scent might be too strong for me, but it’s really nice.  It’s refreshing and very herbal scented.  The lotion itself is a thinner consistency, and it absorbs really quickly and softens my skin so nicely!  I use it all over after a shower or bath and I use it on my hands at feet at night.  As it’s getting warmer out, I don’t really want a very heavy cream, so the lotion is perfect for a lighter hydration.

Each CBD Coconut Lime Bath Bomb ($14 USD) contains 60mg of nano-CBD for maximum absorption. Enhance your bathtime ritual with luxurious CBD Bath Bombs in a pleasant tropical scent.

This smells amazing!  It has a faster fizz, but it does last a few minutes, which I love. I found that it left a moisturizing kind of a film in the bath, but that’s okay, because I always rinse off in the shower after a bath (I do a lot of bath bombs).  My skin was very hydrated afterwards.

After trying these products for a little bit, I really do like them.  I noticed that my back didn’t hurt as much after my bath with the bath bomb. I’m not quite sure if the CBD is helping my anxiety, but I do feel calmer lately.  That could be why! I so enjoy the scents and how soft these products make my skin feel.  I also love that they are natural.

Have you tried CBD Living or other CBD products?  What do you think?

I was lucky to try each fragrance.  Aqua Mellis and Bergamot are my favorites.  Aqua Mellis is a soft, fruity scent.  I have it in a hand cream.  The hand cream is very hydrating, which is really needed in the winter!

I have hand wash and body cream in Bergamot. It is a fresh scent and I love the smell of citrus!  The hand wash is moisturizing and so pretty!  It’s pearly, and really, all of the products are packaged so elegantly! I think my favorite product is the body cream.  The bergamot scent is so yummy and the cream is hydrating without being greasy.

Next, I like the West Village Rose body wash.  It has a really nice lather, but doesn’t dry out the skin.  The scent is nice. Rose scents can be overpowering, but this one isn’t  We are enjoying using it.

The last scent I tried is the Musk in a hand wash.  I haven’t smelled musk in a while, and this is fine.  It is not something I would seek out, though.  I’m not the biggest musk fan, but if you are, this one is good.

The prices range from $16-$30.  Purchase at

I think this is a gorgeous, luxe collection.  These would make beautiful gifts, as well (Mother’s Day?).

Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale Haul June 2018

Last Saturday, I went to Sephora to get my birthday gift (post to come) and I decided to stop by Bath and Body Works to check out the Semi-Annual sale.  I found a few things and the range averaged $3-4 an item.  I also had a $10 of $40 coupon which helped.

Here is what I got:

Three sheet masks.  I purchased some of these before, but gave them away as gifts and haven’t tried one yet! These were $1.25 each with my coupon.IMG_1328

My daughter and I both love bath bombs, so I picked up two of their bath fizzies.  These were $2.88 each.  I used the orange and ginger and it was really nice.

The hand soaps were $2.48 and the shower gels were $3.27.  I love stocking up on these.  I’m also giving some to my daughter who goes off to college in August.IMG_1331

These all were products I haven’t used before.  It’s fun to find something new to me at the sale! On the left is the White Mousse-to-Oil.  It comes out as a mousse, but when you rub it in your skin, it turns into an oil.  The scent is a little musky and masculine for me, but it’s a nice idea! It was $3.41.

The two items on the right are Body Wash with Olive Oil.  They are a creamy body was and leave the skin really soft.  They were  $3 each.

IMG_1332 The last thing I got on clearance was a body butter.   I got this in Focus for my college-bound daughter, LOL! It was $3.41.

And I got a candle, not on clearance, but on sale for $8.70 with the sale and coupon! It is Costa Rica, which is a Rainforest Passionfruit scent.  I love passionfruit! They also had an Italy one which was chocolate cannoli scent and I almost got that one!

I’m glad I went and got some great items…now if I can stay away!  But, I’ll probably go back.

Did you get anything from the big sale?

Get Smooth for Summer with the Borghese Forma Bella Collection

Yes I have cellulite. I am 40 (41 next month) and have three kids. I am unsure if anything can get rid of cellulite, but it has been proven in some studies that good exfoliation and certain creams can minimize the look of the offending dimply stuff.

I have been using Borghese’s Forma Bella Body Contour Collection about three times a week for a few weeks now. It is an invigorating treatment that leaves my skin so soft. I haven’t noticed much of a change in my cellulite, but my skin is very smooth to the touch and does look good.

Forma Bella Body Contour Scrub ($45.00 7 oz) — The ingredients include Guarana & Zedomine extracts to warm the skin and diminish the appearance of cellulite, Acqua di Vita Complex to revitalize the skin, Multi-Vitamin CO Q-10 Complex to provide anti-oxidant protection from free radicals and Adzuk Bean Powder, Jjoba Beans and Sweet Almond Seed Meal to exfoliate.  I use this scrub in the shower on my thighs.  As I rub it in, my skin is instantly warmed and the exfoliation feels great. I then add warm water to lather and rinse.

Forma Bella Body Contour Creme ($55.00 7 oz) — This luxurious cream contains Caffeine, Guarana, Ginger, Cinnamin and Iodine to help diminish the appearance of dimpling, cellulite and scars, Algae & Pullulan help tighten & firm the skin,  Acqua di Vita Complex to revitalize the skin, and Multi-Vitamin CO Q-10 Complex to provide anti-oxidant protection from free radicals. I smooth this on my skin in circles and my skin starts to feel cool and firm. It is also SO smooth. I like to rub it all over my legs, especially when I am wearing a skirt or capris.

I think this line is quite lovely. And while I can’t say for certain that it will get rid of your cellulite, it will make your skin feel and look better. For more info, check out the website at

Look to Mor Cosmetics for Luxury Bath and Body Products

Cucumber & Casaba Soap
Cucumber & Casaba Soap

MOR Cosmetics is an Australian luxury bath and body line. The packaging is very beautiful and gives you an idea of how wonderful the products inside are!

They have many different lines to choose from. I tried the Cucumber and Casaba soap and the Lavender Periwinkle body butter From the Emporium Line.

The Cucumber and Casaba soap is very moisturizing and leaves the skin softly scented.  The notes of this fragrance are: “Fresh cut Melon and green nuances blend with White Jasmine, Muguet and Rose Petals. Under tones of Beige Woods and White Musk soften and leave an uplifting scent.”

The Lavender Periwinkle Body Butter is luxury in a jar! This has a mild lavender scent and is very thick and creamy. It is great to use after a bath or shower.

Pamper Yourself with Carol’s Daughter

I have begun the think about Mother’s Day (May 10th) and what I’m going to get for my mother and mother-in-law. Being a beauty blogger, I love giving products that I have tried and enjoyed. Great hint for your mom or other cool lady you love — Carol’s Daughter!

Talk about pampering! The products from this line are rich, luxurious and soothing and are made from natural ingredients. I recommend trying and giving some of these goodies:

Almond Cookie Shea Souffle ($13.00 – 30.00 USD) — This is a whipped body butter. If you love the scent of almonds, this is a good one!  The fragrance is a combination of almonds blended with marzipan, sandalwood and musk. It goes on almond-y and dries down to a powdery scent that lingers all day. Even when I’m not wearing perfume, people comment that I smell so good! And it leaves my skin VERY soft.

If your looking for a highly pigmented lip gloss, try Candy Paint ($13.50 USD).  – I like that this moisturizing gloss is not too sticky and that the  color is well pigmented. It is infused with natural ingredients such as grapeseed oil, shea butter, aloe vera extract and vitamin E to hydrate, condition, protect and soothe your lips. The gloss comes in 15 shades, so their is a great selection.  I really like the Bubbling Brown Sugar which is a shimmering bronze that is much darker in the tube then on. Very pretty!

Tui Hair Smoothie ($19.00 USD) — This is essentially a hair mask that you can leave on a few to about 15 minutes to get the conditioning that you need. It is rich in essential oils and Shea and Cocoa butters that provide moisture and protection. My hair gets very dry and frizzy in the Kansas City humidity and I find that this really helps. And like that its paraben-free and doesn’t include petroleum, mineral oil, or artificial color.Visit the website at to check out these and other fantastic products. Enjoy!
