Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale — September 2-22 2018

Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty are here! I am so excited for this! This sale happens twice a year, in the Fall and in the Spring.  I usually purchase a few things each sale (I try to keep it reasonable).  Here are the links to my Spring 2018 and Fall 2017 hauls.

I have already placed an order today and plan to go in at least once or twice and maybe make a second order online.  I’ll do a haul post at the end of the sale when I get every thing!

I couldn’t really find photos online, so I’ve photographed my add!

IMG_1954.JPG

Here are all of the beauty steals that you can get by day.  These are available in store and online.  There are also online deals each day in addition to these, so check the sale out on Ulta’s website!

The products in this ad that I’m thinking of purchasing are the Benefit Hula Lite bronzer on the 5th, the Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara on the 9th, the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette on the 16th and the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray on the 22nd. Plus online deals and some Hot Buys and Ulta Beauty deals below.

I placed an order today and I got an online only deal, the Lime Crime Venus Eyeshadow Palette in Venus III. All three Venus palettes are on sale online today for $19 (reg. price $38).  The Venus III is a purple toned palette and it looks really pretty. I also purchased a couple of Hot Buys:

IMG_1955.JPG

The Hot Buys are good for every day of the sale (or until they sell out).  I purchased an Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trio in Peachy Love and a Dose of Colors  Lip Gloss in Can You Not.

I haven’t tried anything by Dose of Colors, and have heard that their lip products are really nice. If I like it, I might buy another! I’m also interested in trying the Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape foundation in the hydrating formula and the Smashbox contour kits.

Ulta Beauty is also having special deals each week:

img_1957.jpgThese are great deal!  I added a Liquid Concealer to my order because I’ve heard it’s amazing! I will probably check out the Liquid Lipsticks and Bath bombs if I go into Ulta this week.  In week two, I’m interested in the Foundation Stick and in week three, the Brow Pencils, the Mascara and the Hand Soap.

I have a lot of skincare I’m testing now, but there are some skincare Hot Buys if you’re interested:

So there’s the sale!  I will be posting my haul after the sale is over, and I’ll show you what I get!

Are you planning on picking anything up in the next few weeks? What are you interested in?

Project Pan August-September 2018 — First Update

IMG_1925.JPG

Hi All!  I’m back with my first check in for my third quarter project pan in 2018.  This one is only two months long, because I took July off. You can see my first post with the products listed here.

This has been going pretty well as I have already panned three products:

IMG_1924

Sorry this is so dark!  The products I’ve panned are PUR No Filter Primer, Pacifica Crystal Power Hydro Mist and Reclaim Botanical Serum. I love all three of these products, but won’t be repurchasing them this year.  I have so much makeup and skincare and it will last me through the end of the year.

Here’s what I have left:

IMG_1921

Philosophy Hope in a Jar — I have about a 3rd of this left

Yes to Superblueberries Skin Recharging Yogurt Scrub and Mask — I have about a 4th of this left.

Reclaim Botanical Eye Cream — This is almost done, maybe a few more uses are left.

Botanics 100% Organic Refreshing Toning Spritz — I have about a week of this left.  I really love this spray!  It has a rosy-floral scent.

IMG_1923.JPG

Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25HR Breathable Foundation in 01 Classic Ivory — It’s really hard to tell on this one.  It could have a 3rd or 4th left in it, it’s hard to tell.

The Lavanila The Healthy Body Butter in Vanilla Grapefruit has just a few more uses in it.

The Tigi Bed Head After-Party still has a couple of weeks in it I think.

I will update again at the end of September and hopefully it will all be used up.  Wish me luck!

Have you done a project pan before?  How did it go?

August 2018 Beauty Favorites

It’s almost September! Yay! It has been a LONG, HOT summer and frankly, I’m glad it’s almost over!  My daughters have been in school for over two weeks now, so I’m ready for cooler weather and a change in my beauty routine!

Below are my favorites this month.  These are products I’ve been using all summer. I haven’t done a ton of reviews in August because I’ve been busy and I haven’t had many new products (I have a feeling that will change this fall!). Here are the one I have been loving most:

IMG_1914.JPG

Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Eyeshadow Palette ($42 USD) — I would think this would be a predictable favorite for many of us this month! I purchased this as soon as went on sale at Ulta.com.  I love purples shadow and I loved the packaging!  I wish this had more purples, but the ones in it are very pretty and you can make lots of natural looks with it.  There is a lot of kick up in the pans and their is fallout, but the shades blend well and are very pigmented!

Philosophy Pure Grace Endless Summer ($49 for 2 fl. oz EDT) — I have been loving this during the summer.  It’s citrusy and fresh at first, then the musk gives a sultry finish.  I received this in a set that includes a body lotion, but the set doesn’t seem to be on sale any more.  You can get the perfume still.  And I definitely recommend it!

jane iredale’s NEW Triple Luxe Long Lasting Naturally Moist Lipsticks ($35 each). These are actually new for fall and are a very new favorite for me! Each lipstick contains antioxidant-rich Moringa Oil to soothe and nourish, plus Tahitian Vanilla and Blackberry for subtly sweet, natural flavor. These are hydrating but feel really light on.  My fave shade is the one shown, Jackie (peachy pink). It’s pretty now for summer and will also look gorgeous with dramatic eyes in the fall.

Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Setting Powder ($34 USD) — This gives me a matte look,  but isn’t dry on my skin.  That’s important to me as I age, and the fact is my face isn’t oily.  But it does get greasy in the summer when it’s so hot and humid.  The combo of this and the Urban Decay Chill setting spray really has kept my makeup in place all day during the hot weather.

Pixi Beauty Retinol Tonic (#15 USD) — This amazing toner features a unique time-release Retinol to help rejuvenate the skin for a natural glow.  Powerful antioxidants and botanicals replenish the skin for  a smoother, softer appearance. I love using this once a day (normally at night). It makes my sensitive a bit red at first, but then calms down and is so even-toned an smooth!  Plus my skin looks great in the morning!

Derma E Firming DMAE Cleanser ($15.50 USD) —  This has been my favorite cleanser for months now! It claims to cleanse away oil and makeup while supporting visibly firmer skin with this exclusive treatment cleanser. The formula contains skin-firming DMAE, antioxidants Alpha Lipoic Acid and C-Ester, calming Lemon Grass, Chamomile, natural astringents Horsetail and Horse Chestnut to be gentle on skin while encouraging healthy tone and texture. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all and cleanses so well while not drying out my skin.

So, those are my August faves.  What have you been loving this month?

New (To Me) Anti-Aging Skincare

I have been testing new skin care products I was sent for my honest review.  I love trying skincare to add to my daily routine.  I think anti-aging skincare really helps my skin looks smoother and younger.

There are the current products I’m using:

I received anti-aging skincare from Robin McGraw’s new line, Robin McGraw Revelation.  Robin is Dr. Phil’s wife, and she has worked closely with chemists for years and each product has been custom-crafted to utilize the highest-quality, most potent active ingredients, along with cutting-edge technology. Products are void of harmful sulfates, mineral oil, parabens and chemicals. As with all Robin McGraw Revelation products, there is no animal testing. Many of the products are powered by their patent pending Dynamic Infusion Technology. The products I received are:

OMG! Is This Really Me?  Instant Face Shaper  ($34 USD) — Fast-acting formula of high performance ingredients. It claims to to visibly smooth, tighten, and lift the eyes, face, and neck. Packed with 5 unique peptides, each designed to target multiple skin concerns. When I use this, my skin does feel smoother and tighter instantly. I like using it under makeup for a smooth and youthful look during the day.

Dot Your Eyes ($40 USD) — This tightening eye cream takes a multi-action approach to refreshing tired eyes, combining cutting-edge skincare science with potent botanical ingredients to improve skin at the cellular level. Reduces the appearance of puffy eyes, dark circles and fine lines while assisting in natural collagen production to tighten puffy and sagging skin. I use this cream in the morning to ensure that my eye area is smooth before makeup.  It really helps my concealer and powder look flawless!

Live Life LIFTED ($42 USD) — This formula delivers a potent blend of five skin-smoothing, anti-wrinkle peptides and hyaluronic acid deep into to hydrate as well as visibly lift, firm and smooth skin’s appearance for a more sculpted silhouette. This lightweight cream also features jojoba esters with moisturizing vitamins A, D, and C, plus free radical blocking, anti-aging vitamin E-rich sunflower seed oil to provide intense healing and hydration without the sticky after feel.  I have been using this twice a day and have noticed a bit of a lift and tighter skin.  I will continue using it to sculpt my chin and neck!

DERMAdoctor Wrinkle Revenge Rescue & Protect Eye Balm
DERMAdoctor Wrinkle Revenge Rescue & Protect Eye Balm

DERMAdoctor Wrinkle Revenge Rescue & Protect Eye Balm ($50 USD) — Super hydrating eye balm enriched with peptides, caffeine, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants, approved for use on delicate upper eyelids, under eye area and crow’s feet region.

Helps improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps the eye area feel refreshed, alert and youthful. I apply this on my eyes at night as a hydrating sleeping treatment. Its moisturizing, but not greasy. I’ve noticed that my eyes have been looking smoother since I have been using this.

Project Pan August-September 2018

Hey all! I’m back with my third project pan of the year! I’ve been doing quarterly pans, but I took a month off.  So this third pan is only two months.

The products below are mostly skincare, with some makeup and other products thrown in!

IMG_1749

I have chosen 10 products for my 2 month pan.  Most of these are at least half way full, so I should be able get through most of them!

Here is a description of each product and what I think of it.  Buckle up, this is going to be a long one!

img_1752-e1533689625959.jpg

Both of these are from Victoria Principal’s natural skincare line Principal Secret Reclaim Botanical.  I have been loving products from this line.  So great for aging skin and I love that they are good for me! They are almost used up so they should be empty by the end of the pan.

Synant Peptide — gives skin a botanically based serum specially infused with exclusive Synant Peptide. This formula helps improve the appearance of skin elasticity, hydration and radiance while visibly minimizing fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.

Principal Secret Reclaim Botanical Radiant Recovery Fluid Eye Cream — This botanically based eye formula is designed to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles and undereye puffiness. Superior botanicals from the Brazilian Rain Forest work alongside scientifically advanced ingredients plus a special light refractor to operate as an instant concealer that visibly diminish imperfections.

You can check out these products on www.reclaimbotanical.com

IMG_1751

Philosophy hope in a jar — lightweight daily moisturizer hydrates and provides antioxidant protection while improving skin texture and tone, leaving it smooth and radiant. this high-performing moisturizer contains lactic acid, a gentle alpha hydroxy acid that helps remove surface dead skin cells, and beta-glucan to promote overall skin health by helping to strengthen skin’s natural rejuvenation potential.

yes to superblueberries RECHARGING GREEK YOGURT & PROBIOTICS 3-IN-1 MASK, SCRUB & CLEANSER — Cleanse, exfoliate and treat your skin with this supercharged 3-in-1 Mask, Scrub & Cleanser. Formulated for stressed skin, this rich, creamy formula provides customized use…can be used as a mask, scrub or cleanser separately or all together to recharge and rebalance skin.

I have had the  the hope in a jar for a while now and need to use it up.  It looks thick, but turns into a lighter cream once applied.  It’s really nice for the summer.  This jar is pretty full (as is the Yes to mask) so I need to make an effort to use it up.

The yes to superblueberries mask/scrub/cleanser is really creamy and sticks to my skin, so it works best as a mask, then wiped off with a damp towel.  It leaves my skin so soft and glowy!

IMG_1753

Botanics 100% Organic Refreshing Toning Spritz — Botanics 100% Organic Refreshing Toning Spritz, a generous spritz of this organic rose-water toner purifies and refreshes skin after cleansing, as it delicately yet effectively removes traces of make-up, leaving the skin feeling revitalized.

Pacifcia Crystal Power Hydro Mist — Your skin will look amazing and your soul will love the aromapowers. Watermelon, lemongrass and rose crystal extracts unite with aloe to bring you hydration and a refreshing boost with Pacifica’s Crystal Power Hydro Mist. This is your moment to shine bright.

I love both of these mists, but I have SO many mists right now, I need to use some up!  I use the Botanics mist (which smells like rose) after I wash my face and before my skincare, and the Pacifica mist (which smells like watermelon) before and after applying makeup.  They smell amazing and are so refreshing!

Both of these are available at Ulta.

IMG_1750.JPG

PÜR No Filter Blurring Photography Primer — PÜR’s unique primer with prismatic blurring micro-pearls helps to color correct while age-defying skin care ingredients nourishes the skin and a vitamin-rich Energy Complex with moisturizing agave and essential fatty acids prep the skin for makeup application.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25HR Breathable Foundation — Rimmel’s most lightweight long-lasting formula. It perfects your skin with medium buildable coverage whilst enriched with breathable skin technology that doesn’t clog pores. Moisturizes for up to 25HRS. With SPF 18.

The primer is looks shimmery first, but when applied well, it blurs all imperfections and skin looks so smooth! It’s really hydrating, too.

The foundation is a medium coverage which I love for everyday. It’s a little glowy and hydrating, which I need right now.  My skin is a little dry.

IMG_1754

Lavanila The Healthy Body Butter in Vanilla Grapefruit —  A crisp blend of sparkling grapefruit and vanilla softly scents skin. This super soft, all-natural body butter absorbs instantly for deeply hydrated, luxuriously soft skin. 100% pure Shea & Cocoa Butters blend with powerful antioxidants and essential oils for long-lasting hydration. With super soft scents and a non-greasy formula, prepare for the ultimate indulgence.

Tigi Bed Head After-Party — The perfect party favor for TIGI’s frizz prone friends. After-Party hair creme for silky, smooth, shiny, healthy looking hair. Control the funky fly-aways and silk-ify your hair.
I love Lavanila Body Butter.  It is super hydrating and always smells amazing. This is about half full.
The Tigi hair cream is so good on my frizzy hair! It also makes my hair soft and shiny. I have been using this for a while, and there isn’t a lot left.
So there are my products for my third Project Pan of 2018.  I have less than two months to use these up.  I should be able to do it!
Are you doing project pans this year?  How’s it going?

July 2018 Beauty Favorites

I can’t believe it’s August!  It has been hot in Kansas City since mid-May so I am ready for summer to be over.  My youngest daughter is starting high school in two weeks as my middle daughter goes off to college.  So many changes!

And so many choices — at least for my fave July products.  I loved so many makeup products this month.  Here they are:

IMG_1707.JPGI have been testing so much awesome new makeup in the last couple of months, so I chose more favorites than usual this month.

Urban Decay Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette — I received this for my birthday in June and have been loving it since! There is such a great variety of shades.  The shadows are so buttery and blend well, too. It will work nicely in the fall and winter months because there are some gorgeous plums and greens.

Alamar Cosmetics Reina del Caribe  Vol.1 — This bright palette came in my June BoxyCharm.  These are normally not shades I would wear — orange, red, blue — but these shades are so creamy and pigmented, it’s hard not to love them.  I use them with a light hand and they are so pretty!

H2O+ Beauty Oasis Smart Tint Lip Color — This is a self-adjusting lip color. It has two sides.  The dark blue shade turns rosy on my lips and the light blues turns a shimmery pink.  Very fun and hydrating!

Urban Decay Chill Chill Cooling and Hydrating Makeup Setting Spray — I have been using this all summer. This has Temperature Control Technology that actually chills the surface of my makeup to keep it looking fresh for up to 12 hours.  This also helps powders melt into my skin and I look dewy, not dry!

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 — I really like this.  It is a comfort matte so it is not too drying, but stays in place all day.  I need it in a lighter shade, but I have been mixing it with a light foundation and it looks great!

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer — I LOVE this!  I got a sample in a free gift from Ulta this spring and bought the full sized one last month.  I use it every time I wear mascara.  It gives length and fullness to my lashes.  My lashes are very short, so they need this! L’Oreal now has a  rose gold primer that’s a part of their Lash Paradise collection, so I’ll pick that up, too!

Pixi Beauty Glow Cake in GildedBare Glow — I received this for review and ever since, I have used it every day. It gives me the perfect summer glow.  I swirl my brush in the whole pan and cover my cheek with it.  I then use the lightest shade as a hilghighter on my cheekbones, nose and cupid’s bow.  Gorgeous!

Pixi Beauty Rose Mist — I love using this in the morning after I wash my skin, before serums and creams.  It helps soothe my sensitive skin and gives a glow. It also helps hydrate, which I love.  Plus, it smells amazing!

Yes to Peel Off Masks Review

IMG_1516.JPG

Hi all! July is almost over, can you believe it?  I’ll be posting my July favorites soon, but today I am reviewing fun peel off masks from Yes to.  I was sent these for my honest review.

I love peel masks.  These help to target impurities, while helping hydrate, calm and brighten skin. Each mask is made with 95% or more natural ingredients, formulated without parabens, SLS and silicones and is Leaping Bunny Certified.

Each mask is $2.99 and you can purchase at yesto.com. Here is the info on the masks and what I thought:

Yes To Cucumbers Calming Peel-Off Mask
Cucumber: A soothing vegetable extract to calm skin

Yes To Coconut Energizing Coffee Peel-Off Mask
Coconut: A tropical moisturizer.
Coffee: Helps skin look tighter.

Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Peel-Off Mask — Formulated with charcoal and tomato extract to help peel away impurities and excess oil, this LBM
(Little Black Mask) helps leave skin naturally clear.
Charcoal: A natural detoxifier and impurity remover to deep clean skin.

Yes To Grapefruit Vitamin C Glow-Boosting Peel-Off Mask
Grapefruit: Rich in vitamin C and lycopene (antioxidant heavy hitters), it naturally helps visibly even skin tone and enhances glow.

Directions: Smooth an even layer of the mask over clean forehead, cheeks, nose and chin, avoiding the eye area, eyebrows and hairline. Build up an edge around the mask. Relax until the mask is fully dry, at least 8 to 10 minutes, then lift edges and start peeling! Rinse off any remaining pieces and moisturize.

I tried all of these except for the charcoal one.  My teenage daughter tried it and like it.  It cleaned out her pores and left her skin smooth!

The three I tried all smelled amazing!  Really fresh, natural scents.  And they did what they claimed.  I have sensitive skin and the cucumber mask calmed and hydrated my skin.

The coffee/coconut mask was also hydrating and my skin was smooth after I used it.  The grapefruit mask did brighten my skin, but irritated it a bit.  Which is fine, the redness went away a few minutes later.

I think that these are so nice and affordable.  They were kind of hard to peel off, so building up an edge on the the outer part of the face is a good idea. And I try to do a thick layer, but it does take longer to dry.

If peel off masks aren’t your thing, Yes to has lots of other types of makes including sheet, bubble and mud masks.  Check them out!

Have you tried any cool masks lately?

BoxyCharm Subscription Box Review — July 2018

IMG_1634

I received my July BoxyCharm later than usual this month. I receive this box each month and really like it.

Boxycharm is just $21 a month for 5-6 beauty items, most of them full-sized.  It’s an amazing way to try new makeup and beauty tools!

This month I received:

I didn’t take individual photos of the products this month.  This is was so late that I thought I would just get it posted!

I think this is an okay box.  I will use the Tarte mist.  I love setting sprays and skincare mists and this is a combo of both. It has a really nice mister and and herbal scent.

I am also testing out the dr. brandt eye gel.  I do see that it instantly helps the dark circles under my eyes.  You use it after eye cream and before makeup.

I will also use the Wander Beauty mascara.  I am waiting to open it because I already have enough mascara open.  And as we all know, mascara’s only good for about 3 months. But I will be trying it in a month or so.  I like the claims that it curls and gives volume.

I will be giving away the Note blush and the Chella eyebrow product to a friend or family member.  The blush is too orange for me and the eyebrow product is too light.

Although there was nothing too exciting this month, it was well worth the $21!

Do you get BoxyCharm?  What did you get this month?

New Summer Products From H2O+ Beauty

Hi all!  This is the second part of my recent H2O+ Beauty review on new products. I received these for my honest review.

I really like H2O+ Beauty because the brand is built on the philosophy that effective skincare doesn’t need to be complicated.  And they have leveraged the hydrating power of pure water. I love that the products are natural and I have really enjoyed the skin care and body care products I have used.

Here are the products I received:

IMG_1548

H2O+ Elements Jelly Cleanser ($20 USD) — This is such a fun cleanser! It contains Argan Oil and Pearl extract and transforms from a bouncy jelly texture into a foam.  It has a clean scent and doesn’t dry out my skin.

H2O+ Oasis Smart Tint LipColor ($12 USD) — A self-adjusting lip color that complements all complexions with a custom shade. I use the darker side for a soft blush shade, and the lighter side for a layer of shimmer.  This is so pretty!  And it’s a perfect light look for summer.

H2O+ Waterbright Massaging Eye Roller ($28 USD) — A massaging rollerball that helps reduce dark circles and puffiness of the delicate under eye area. The gel is cooling and hydrating. It features Pomelo, Snowflake Flower extracts and caffeine to helps reduce dark circles and puffiness while illuminating pigments instantly brighten my skin.

H2O+ On The Move Rollerball Fragrance ($18 each) — This is a water based fragrance that hydrates skin and adds a hint of shimmer. The two scents are:

Teak Rose — The light yet exotic wood fragrance showcases bergamot and orange blossom highlighted by aromatic rose and finished with dry notes of golden amber.

Lemongrass Vetiver — The alluring sparkling lemongrass scent features clean citrus notes of lemon, heightened by a ginger freshness and tempered by fresh grass.

I think the Teak Rose is my favorite, it’s kind of a smokey-rose scent.  It’s fresh and sultry. The Lemongrass Vetiver is okay, it is a fresher scent, but not my favorite.  These are fun to wear, especially if you like shimmer in the summer. And it’s nice that you can take these on the go.

Have you tried any new H2O+ Beauty products?  Which ones are you favorites?

New Summer Releases From Pixi Beauty

IMG_1593.JPG

I was so lucky to receive some new Pixi by Petra Products for my honest review. I got a fun mix of skincare and makeup.

The first three products are some amazing Skintreats. The first one I want to talk about is the Retinol Tonic (now on the website, in the middle of the photo above).

This is not on the website yet, but I did get some PR materials about it. It will retail for $15 and is 3.4 fl. oz. It features a unique time-release Retinol to help rejuvenate the skin for a natural glow.  Powerful antioxidants and botanicals replenish the skin for  a smoother, softer appearance.

I have only been using this and the other two Skintreats for about a week, but I am enjoying it.  It doesn’t have much of a scent, so if you are sensitive to scent, this is a good choice.  I apply it every night before serum and moisturizer and I like how smooth my skin looks in the morning! I will keep using and report what results I see.

There are also two new products in the Rose Skintreats line — Rose Ceramide Cream and Rose Glow Mist:

img_1587.jpg

Rose Ceramide Cream ($24 USD) — This ultra-rich cream is infused with Ceramides and Rose Oil to deeply hydrate the skin for a healthier, more supple appearance and feel. Antioxidant-rich botanicals help to improve skin’s elasticity while protecting against environmental aggressors.

This is a very hydrating cream.  A little goes a long way.  I over did it the first time I used it and it felt a little heavy.  For me, this is a night cream. In the morning, my skin is well hydrated. It has a soft floral scent and smells really nice.

Rose Glow Mist ($15 USD) — Infused with 7 types of Rose Flower extracts and antioxidants, this lightweight mist helps soothe and strengthen the skin. Helping to moisturize, improve elasticity and provide free radical protection, skin’s complexion is left with a naturally enhanced glow.

I’m in love with this mist!  I use this after cleansing and before serums and moisturizer.  I also use it over makeup for a little hydration and glow.  It smells like fresh roses and gives my skin a healthy glow.  LOVE!

IMG_1592

These are the stunning PixiGlow Cakes ($28 each) –This light-diffusing palette helps to achieve a naturally healthy, radiant complexion with flushed apples of the cheeks, subtle contouring and glowing highlights. The shades in the gradient make it easy to create a sheer wash of luminous colour that enhances your PixiGlow!

This comes in two shades, GildedBare Glow on the left in the photo above and the PinkChampagne Glow on the right.

IMG_1603

Here is a swatch of the GildedBare Glow.  It’s kind of hard to see, but I swatched the lightest end, in the middle and the darker end.

This is very shimmery/glittery, but when applied it gives a glow and the glitter doesn’t show on my face. I tried it two ways: swirling a big fluffy brush in it and applying it all over my cheek, and applying the lightest end as highlighter, the middle as blush and the darkest end as bronzer.  Both ways are so pretty, but I think I like applying it all together.  It gives a gorgeous flush!  The more bronze end doesn’t work well bronzing the rest of my face, though.  It’s way too shimmery!

I have to say, though, I really recommend this.  It can be built up easily and gives my face the perfect summer glow!

IMG_1597

This is the LashLift 188 Mascara in Beyond Black ($15 USD) — This unique 2-in-1 dual chamber contains a larger wand for volume and a finer precision wand to coat every one of your +188 lashes. Together, the brushes create volume, length and curl for an eye-opening effect and the ultimate false-lash look!

IMG_1600

Here is how it looks with both of the wands. I use it this way first and it gives great volume.

IMG_1599

Here is what the smaller wand looks like when removed from the larger one.  I have never seen anything like this before!

I use the skinny wand to define my lashes and on my lower lashes.  It works really well!  All in all, this is a great mascara.  It doesn’t smudge or flake. I really like this and will continue to use it.

I am really liking all of these products.  I will continue testing out the skincare, but so far are enjoying using them — especially the mist.  The GlowCakes are perfect for the summer and I will be using both of them.  The mascara is really fun to use and gives a dramatic look.

What do you think of these products?  Will you be picking any of them up?
