It has been so warm, dry and wonderful in Kansas City this week! I have been wearing short sleeves and really need to paint my toenails! But it is going to turn cold and rainy by the end of the week, boo!

What I think: I’ve never tried a product like this. It applies kind of like a CC cream as it has a thick texture and gives a medium coverage, but it is buildable for heavier coverage. But, the cool thing about this cream is after a few days of use my skin looked so good! The redness and enlarged pores I have been dealing with have been greatly improved.

It was such a beautiful weekend in Kansas City! The temperature was in the 60’s and 70’s! My husband said that the weather is giving us a false sense of Spring, that it will be cold again soon. He is probably right…but it is still nice!
This weekend I am loving a skin treatment that instantly makes me look younger, amazing hair care and color, gel-infused slippers and a portable humidifier. Even though it seems like Spring, it is still Winter and I have to keep taking care of my skin and hair!

What I think: This is an interesting product. You apply it and it turns white and tight on the skin. Then you rinse it off after about 7 minutes. Once it is rinsed off, it tightens skin and holds for about 24 hours. I did notice my pores were smaller and my wrinkles less noticeable. But, it irritated my sensitive skin and looked like a sunburn when I rinsed it off. the redness faded after a while. I think that if you have sensitive skin, this may not be for you. But if your skin is not sensitive, try it! It works very well.

What I think: I have tested the Omega Repair & Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner ($6.97 each) and the color ULTÎME hair color ($9.97 USD) in Cappucino Brown. The shampoo and conditioner left my hair soft and even a bit thicker. And the hair color was easy to use, plus left my hair very shiny! It contains pearl essence for the extra shine.

What I think: These slippers are an easy way to keep feet soft all year long. Just slip them on and the treatment begins. When you slip your feet into them, they are first a bit cool and slick, but you get used to it. When you remove the slippers after wear, feet are much softer.

What I think: This is such a convenient humidifier. It is small and easy to use and move around, if needed. The air is extremely dry in Kansas City this winter, and a humidifier is essential for keeping skin hydrated. This works well for that!

What I think: This serum is an anti-aging powerhouse. It immediately hydrates the skin and my fine lines do look smoother. I have been testing it for about a week and do see some firming around my jawline. I will continue using it in hopes to see further changes in my skin!

What I think: I love the eye cream part of this duo. It’s very hydrating and soothing. The concealer is a bit odd. It isn’t creamy and doesn’t blend well. The consistency is like a putty. I have found that the best way to use it is to mix it on the back of my hand with the cream. Then I apply it as a highlighter under my eyes. Or, dip a concealer brush in the cream then in the concealer, apply and blend, blend, blend! Although it doesn’t work for me as a traditional concealer, I like the look that it gives me. It brightens my eye area.

What I think: This shampoo is a thick foam and a little goes a long way. It has a clean scent that lingers (and I love). Plus, hair is not only clean, it’s soft, too. There is a matching conditioner that hydrates dry winter hair.

What I think: This has become my every day brush. It instantly smooths my hair whether it’s frizzy or I have flyaways.

What I think: I have been using the Face cream in the morning before my sunscreen. I love the texture, it is creamy without being greasy. It also gives my face a glow. I have only been using it for a short time, but I hope it helps with sagging skin (that’s my main anti-aging issue at the moment.) The mask is a cool idea. It feels nice when applied and my skin is super soft the next morning.

What I think: This is so super hydrating and smells fantastic! I noticed that it does remove buildup and leaves my hair clean without stripping my color or the moisture. I can actually go without conditioner with this, but I use a little when my hair is very dry.

This week I have been trying to tame my flyaway hair and sooth my chapped skin as I get ready for the holidays.
I have been loving a new (to me) haircare line, a new gel mask, organic skin care, coconut oil body care, and a very moisturizing body lotion:

You need to fill in the gaps in the hair’s health and then use your hot tools to seal that in. It will make your style last longer and give better shine and quality hair. What I think — First of all, I love the fresh scents of this line. It leaves hair smelling amazing! The shampoo leaves my hair soft and shiny. I like that it helps the strength of my hair. The leave in conditioner is light so it doesn’t weigh my hair down, but it does give extra moisture, which is great since my hair is so dry now. I love using a hair protector when I dry or straighten it.

What I think — I love trying organic and natural skin care and was excited to try a new skin care regimen. The line has a fresh citrus scent that I really like. All of the products are very creamy and thick, but do not leave my skin feeling greasy at all. I have only been using these products for about a week, but I do like how they quench my skin and help with the tone and texture of my skin. I will keep using them to see if they help the fine lines around my eyes.

What I think: The coconut oil was surprising at first because it is hard, but melts into an oil. It is very moisturizing. The body wash makes an amazing shaving cream. And, I love keeping the hand and body lotion near to smooth on when my skin feels dry.
