Brand Review — Ramy Beauty Therapy

I love discovering new brands and reviewing cool products!

This week, I have been loving products from Ramy Beauty Therapy. It was created by makeup artist Ramy. His philosophy is simple: “Minimum makeup, Maximum impact!” Meaning, if you select the correct color palette to enhance your features and apply it correctly, you can look younger and more beautiful with a minimum of products and effort.

I was sent the following products for my honest review:

Arch Angel Color Transforming Brow Gel goes on white, then changes color when you brush through it to match your hair color! The Arch Angel fills in your brows with the perfect shade and holds brows in place until you remove it. Apply with the included angled brush, then brush through. Color transforms instantly and will adjust after a few minutes to become your perfect shade!

The stencils are great for those who need a shape to their brows. My brows are fairly defined, I just tweeze a little to keep them neat. The Arch Angel is great for keeping brows in the shape you want them to be and filling in color. It worked on my dark brown brows and didn’t make me look too made up. I haven’t used anything like this before and think it is a cool idea. And the little pot of product will last a long time.

Ramy Beauty Therapy Perfect Eye Wand Liner & Shadow

The Perfect Eye Wand ($24 USD) takes easy eye make-up to the next level by combining an eye liner and shadow in one easy-to-use wand. The eyeliner shade? PERFECT! Apply liner to upper and lower lashlines and apply shadow to entire eye lid and over liner on lower lashline for the fastest smoky eye Ever!

I like to do the daytime look. I actually take a light-colored shadow and brush over my whole eyelid. Then I line my eyes with the liner and apply the shadow in the crease. The look is pretty amazing! The liner is very dark, but not black and the shadow smudges really well to create the perfect shade. So pretty!

Ramy Beauty Therapy Alive! Blush ($19 USD) — One of a kind, long-wearing color. Micronized and silicone treated for extremely smooth application. This blush literally seems to bring skin to life with its perfect blend of pink, gold and brown color. Great for sweeping over eyes to really make eye color pop! A great alternative for women who are not inclined to wear eyeshadows. Simply sweep over eyes with blush brush for a finished, polished look.

This is such a pretty, neutral color! It works great on the eyelids with the eyeliner above. Plus, it makes such a natural-looking blush. Just enough color and shimmer to define the cheeks. I like using softer colors for spring and summer and this is perfect!

My Beauty Favorites — Week of February 22-28, 2016

Are you watching the Oscars tonight? I have Downton Abbey and the Walking Dead to enjoy, but I do appreciate the glamour of the Academy Awards.

What I think: I received the four lightest shades, 40-43. They are all perfect for my skintone. I think 41 is my favorite, because it has a pink tone to it. I usually share makeup I receive, but I am hoarding all four shades because I love them all! This lipstick is so moisturizing and looks amazing on. I might have to go get a few more! LOVE!!!

What I think: Even though it is a huge trend, I haven’t tried many matte lipsticks. I do like this one. It is affordable and the nude is a great color. When I applied it, it dried down to a moisturizing matte, and it wasn’t drying at all. I have issues with lipstick traveling under my lip, but this didn’t!

What I think: I love some volume in my hair, so I was excited to try these products. Both products do add lots of volume. I apply the mousse on damp hair and it doesn’t leave it sticky. I dry my hair and add the hairspray. It keeps the volume going. I also like to spray my hair, pile it up on the top of my head and let it dry. When I take my hair down, it is big and bouncy. Fun for going out!

I have this in Heat Wave. It is so gorgeous and bright! I think it will be so pretty in the summer when I have a little (faux) tan. It blends very well and gives a nice flush.

essence mono eyeshadow ($1.99 USD) — Formulated with finely-milled, highly pigmented powder to provide long-lasting and full coverage. Available in 9 shades.

This is gorgeous! This gold shade is lovely. Great for an eyeshadow or highlighter. It’s very pigmented, too!

essence all about bronze 01 eyeshadow — ($5.49 USD) — All about… beautiful eyes! Gorgeous eyeshadow palettes with eight complementing, buildable colors and multiple finishes; satin, matte and metallic effects.

This is a beautiful, shimmer palette that screams summer to me! It comes in other shades too, such as nudes and pinks. These are so affordable, pick them all up!

essence I love volume mascara waterproof ($4.99 USD) — The newest member of the most beloved mascara family – now available in a waterproof formula! The large fiber brush separates and covers each individual lash for breathtaking volume. Ophthalmologist-tested.

I’m always looking for a great waterproof mascara, they are hard to find. This one gives volume and length, and stays on all day!

essence liquid lipstick 05 ($3.49 USD) This innovative formula unites the coverage of a lipstick with the moisturizing shine of a gloss. The silky texture goes on smoothly and dries shiny, not sticky! Available in 6 shades.

I thought this was a lipstick at first, if you turn the tube upside down, that’s what it looks like! I was so surprised when I opened it and it was a liquid lipstick. It is very moisturizing (not matte). This color is too bright for me, but I want to try it in a nude.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of February 8-14, 2016

I hope you had a great Valentine’s Day! My husband and I went out to dinner (without kids). It was really nice!

Last week I was loving new makeup that I was sent for my honest review. I tried two new (to me) brands. Wander Beauty and a German cosmetics company, Sante. Both have some amazing products that I LOVE:

Wander Beauty Flash Focus Hydrating Foundation Stick ($40 USD) — Achieve a picture perfect complexion with this hydrating formula. This creamy foundation stick glides onto skin as a lightweight, conditioning cream for flawless coverage. What I think: I was so excited to try the foundation stick! I received it in Light, and that matches my skin perfectly. Looking at it in the photo, I thought it would have a thicker consistency like a concealer. But, it is very creamy and glides right one. It covers well, and I can add more to build coverage. I use their Wander Cushion to blend. Its a reusable sponge and is easy to blend with.

I received the lipstick in Spice. I usually wear lighter colors, but I liked it. It’s something that I can wear out on a date with my husband!

What I think: The coverstick is very full coverage. It is perfect for dark circles, red patches and blemishes. I love wearing under my foundation for extra coverage.

The eyeshadow palette I received was Aubergine, which includes a light pink and two purples. It makes an awesome smoky eye, very colorful.

My favorite Sante products is the lip color. I received the Nude 01 color, it’s a pinkish nude and it so pretty on.

I was especially excited to try the Cushion Compact. I haven’t tried one before. When I opened it up, it seemed a lot darker than my skin tone. But, once I applied it, it matched my skin tone exactly. Plus, it glided over my pores and fine lines. It didn’t settled at all in them. It gave me full coverage and a really natural look. I am so glad that the set included a refill, because I am going to be using this foundation for a long time! It is available in 5 shades from Fair to Rich.

The Blurred Lines lipstick and the Crème Blush are two products I hadn’t tried before either. Both are a little too bright pink for me, but I do love the blush. A little brightens up my fair skin and really wakes me up.

Have you tried IT Cosmetics brushes before? This set is worth it just for the value and quality of the brushes. They are so soft! The best brushes I have used, hands down! And you get two in this set. Amazing!

I LOVE these lip oils! They are my new favorite lip product! They are as moisturizing as a lip balm, but give a little shine. I like a natural lip and this is perfect for day time looks. I have this in Earthly Elements that are a mix of matte and shimmery earth tones, including a surprising matte reddish orange, that I really love! They are well pigmented and I can do a smoky eye or a natural day look with them. I am excited to try other palettes as well-especially the plum one!

Big & Bigger Lashes ($7.99 USD) — Get larger than life lashes that won’t smudge or flake with this maximum volume mascara that builds intense volume in just one application. This mascara’s creamy texture and lash conditioning ingredients make it easy to enhance eyes while leaving your lashes soft and lush. The custom designed sculpting brush has a flat reservoir side that deposits mascara directly to lashes and a comb on either side that distributes mascara evenly from base to tip, separating lashes. The bristles on the top of the brush catch hard-to-reach lashes in the corner of the eyes and can be applied to bottom lashes for extra va-voom!

If huge lashes are for you, try this mascara! It takes a bit of practice to perfect the technique with the brush, but once I did, I got length (which I need) with the volume.
