My Beauty Favorites — Week of April 11-17, 2016

My favorites this week can be found in one shopping spot — Whole Foods. But I am not talking about snacks, there are wonderful natural beauty products to be found there, too!

My very favorite of the three was the one I didn’t think I’d like, the Blooming Bouquet mist! I always think floral is going to be strong, but this is soft and smells like fresh flowers. I spray all over in the morning and it makes me happy. LOVE!

I also love the Sea Lily Jasmine scent. It’s almost like a green floral. The lotion is very fluffy, like whip cream, but it doesn’t rub or soak right in. It stays on the skin for a while before it is absorbed. If you are not in a rush in the morning after your shower, or if you want to use it at night, it should work fine.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of March 21-27, 2016

Happy Easter! I hope you and your family have a wonderful day! I plan to cook for my family, who returned last night from a spring break trip. I missed them, and am happy to spend the day with them!

What I think: I love this marker! I really need to color my gray roots, but I have been so lazy lately. This works like magic. I just “color” the grays with the marker, then comb the area with the little comb included. It is so natural looking and the Dark Brown color is a perfect match for my hair. It lasts until I wash it out and doesn’t rub off.

It is getting warmer, which means putting away sweaters and boots and bringing out short sleeves and sandals — oh my!

So, my skin needs to be smooth and soft. I am loving body care that smells amazing and moisturizes. The products below are my new faves:

Nad’s Exfoliating Body Wax Strips ($8.99 USD) — With a tropical grapefruit scent, the new Nad’s Exfoliating Body Wax Strips are an innovative take on the traditional at-home wax strip with the world’s FIRST exfoliating waxing strip. What I think: These are interesting. The outer paper that holds the wax is actually an exfoliating strip. You rub it in circles on your skin before you wax. Then rub the outside of the wax strip between the palms to warm it up, peel and apply. I then make sure the wax is on securely and pull off. Ouch! But it works pretty well. I still had a few hairs left and had to do it again. It then left my skin hair free! This is nice if you don’t like to shave.

Body Moisturizers To Get You To Spring

My skin is so dry! The temperature in Kansas City has been fluctuating, so my skin is so confused. I keep it hydrated with moisturizing body products. If I don’t, my skin feels dry and tight.

I was sent the products below for my honest review:

What I think: I have been using this in the Mint + Coconut scent. Even though I’m not much of a mint person, this lotion is refreshing. It is also very hydrating without being heavy. I like using it on my legs and feet before bedtime.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of February 15-21, 2016

It has been gorgeous in Kansas City this week! Really warm and sunny. It is turning cold again, but that’s okay. It is still February!

This week I have been loving healing body products, a fun lip and hand moisturizing pack and a fragrance that is easy to carry with you.

What I think: I have been loving the healing gel. It is very light and sinks right in the skin, and it provides instant moisture. I think it will be awesome in the summer when it is hot and I don’t want to use a heavy cream.

My daughter who has eczema has been using the itch relief lotion and it seems to be helping her dry, red skin. And it feels better, too.

What I think: This is a fun Spring or Easter gift idea, or just as a treat for yourself. I love the packaging of both eos products. The lotion is slim enough to put in a purse or a pocket. And I love the fun, round lip balm. And both smell amazing! And, I always need Kleenex, especially in the Spring.

What I think: I think this is a neat idea. I like the shape of the bottle. This scent is a little bit sweet and spicy for me (I like fresh scents), but it does have a nice depth to it. There are other scents in the line, so check them out!
