New Body Lotions From Yves Rocher

Yves Rocher, the purveyors of botanical beauty, have recently released a fairy extensive collection of bath and body products. I have been able to try a few of their body lotions and they are so wonderful! Here are my favorites:

Nourishing Moisturizer ($14.00 USD on sale for $8.00 for 6.7 fl.oz) smells decadently like almonds — yum! This lotion is made to nourish dry and very dry skin. It contains almond oil from organically grown ingredients to restore skin to comfort and Mexican agave sap from organically grown ingredients for its moisturizing properties. I love it because it is very rich and creamy and smells incredible!

3 in 1 Sunkissed Firming Moisturizer ($18.00 USD on sale for $9.00 for 6.7 fl.oz.) — For a sunkissed summer body (all year round), this formula of 3 in 1 Sunkissed Firming Moisturizer combines:
– beautifying Polynesian tiare flower,
– Madagascar centella asiatica,
– Mexican firming agave sap from organically grown ingredients for its moisturizing virtues,
– and a light self-tanning agent.

I love it because it smells pretty and tropical and gives a natural looking gradual tan. It also doesn’t have that icky tanning scent, which is a big plus!

SOS Heavy Legs ($22.00 on sale for $12.00 for 6.7 fl.oz.) — To relieve heavy-feeling legs, Yves Rocher Botanical Beauty Research chose lesser celandine and horse chestnut from organically grown ingredients, renowned for stimulating micro-circulation.

I love it because it makes my legs feel icy and tingly. Great for after a long day working standing up or in the yard or carrying kids around! This will help get the energy back that you need for going out at night!

Protect Your Flawless Face With Sue Devitt Primer and Foundation With SPF

What I think: This primer worried me a bit at first because it is a very light blue color and when I first applied it, I thought I saw a light blueish-white cast to my skin. But when I smoothed it on my skin that went away and my skin was smoothed and glowing. My pores and lines also appeared smaller, which is a plus! Very nice primer!

SpaComplexion™ Hydrating Marine Minerals Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 ($40.00 USD) — Achieve a healthy, radiant spa-treated, natural complexion. What I think: This is a medium-coverage tinted moisturizer, so although this hydrates the skin, it is also gives good coverage and a very pretty glow. Combining this product with the primer, you not only get a flawless face, but 45 SPF means that you are well protected!

What I think: What I love about this mineral foundation is that my skin does not feel dry when I apply it. I have a lot of trouble with loose mineral foundation because it tends to settle in my fine lines and pores. Yuck! But this foundation does seem to hydrate and refresh throughout the day. It also looks very natural and not cakey at all.

I try a lot of anti-aging skincare. I haven’t tried Grassroots Research Labs – or any skincare brand sold at Kohl’s – and didn’t know what to expect. I can say now that I have been using it for a few weeks, I love it! But before I explain why, check out the product info first:

What I think: This is a light and airy cream that feels like a drink of moisture on my skin. I’m always afraid to use creams (instead of a lighter lotion) on my face in the summer, since my skin is oilier at this time of the year. This cream is not greasy or heavy and feels fantastic when I use it at night. I notice that my skin seems glowy and smoother right after I apply it. I don’t have tons of wrinkles, so I can’t say if it reduces wrinkles, but I can say that my skin looks better after I use it.

What I think: This is a beautiful way to keep your bronzed look going strong through Fall. It is a more sophisticated bronzed look with the smoky bronze eyeshadow and the plum liner. The lip gloss and shine is versatile. The stain is a darker nude and the gloss is a pretty light nude, use them together or separately. And the park avenue princess bronzer is my favorite because it is a light shade of bronze which looks great with my skin tone. I think this kit is a great value!
