It’s Getting Cold Outside — Take Care of Your Skin!

My skin is so dry. And I mean my face, hands, legs, feet — even my lips! So I feel the need to hydrate a lot.

I was sent the following products to try for my honest opinion. I have found that they are all very helpful in keeping me moisturized:

Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser ($8.99 USD)– The humidity and temperatures drop but that doesn’t mean your skin will stop producing oil. A cleanser with salicylic acid will exfoliate to remove dry skin and can prevent breakouts. For combination and dry skin, use Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser to remove dirt and oil while keeping the skin’s natural moisture barrier intact.

What I think: This cleanser will work for anyone. I love it because it is gentle on my sensitive skin and doesn’t strip it — which is important on my dry skin.

Sleep tight with visions of sugar plum fairies dancing in your head and wake up with baby soft skin thanks to Algenist’s Overnight Restorative Cream ($90. USD). The Alguronic Acid in this miracle elixir works overtime to promote cell renewal while peptides nourish skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Add a couple drops of the uber hydrating Algenist’s Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil ($79 USD) into the moisturizer and this potent combination will give cracked winter skin some much needed “oomph” and serious angelic radiance, all while you’re sleeping off that giant holiday meal. Double tasking at its finest.

What I think: Talk about a 1-2 punch of hydration! These two products combined leaves my skin so soft. It’s a fab overnight treatment. Believe me, you will wake up with softer skin in the morning!

What I think: This is such a beautiful powder. It has no glitter or shimmer in it, yet instantly brightens the skin. So pretty and has a soft violet scent.

Beauty For Real Get Glowing! Cheek Tint and Luminizer ($29 USD) — Get Glowing! There is also Get Glowing! What I think: I have the Get Lit/In the Pink combo (pictured). A little goes a long way with the blush. It is very pigmented. The highlighter is very pretty. I use it on top of my cheekbones and in the corners under my eyes. It is also nice on the browbones.

Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in Cotton Candy ($19 USD) — This ultra matte, super-moisturizing lip balm delivers rich color and amazing staying power. Wear alone or apply with the Cailyn Pearly Shimmer Balm for a more glamorous, shimmery pout. Available in 18 shades.

What I think: This balm is so moisturizing, but it is matte and covers like a lipstick. Cotton Candy is a little light for me, but I love the coverage and how soft it makes my lips feel. I like to wear it with a little darker gloss over it. Pretty!

What I think: I have tried the Smoke Mirrors Grey Palette. It’s really pigmented. The two lightest colors work well for days, but all four shades can be layered and wet for a high-shine evening smoky eye!

What I think: I love the length and fullness that this mascara gave me. My lashes looked amazing! The only problem is, at the end of the day I had raccoon eyes. Which is sad! But, if you don’t mind that, this is a great mascara!

Sensai Eyebrow Pencil ($28 USD) — Eyebrows frame the face and a well-manicured brow can enhance your look that much more. With Sensai’s Eyebrow Pencil (available in black and brown) you can easily and minimally recreate this stylish look and transform your appearance.

This special oval-shaped lead has soft, powdery consistency and a spiral brush to perfectly articulate the brows. Ideal for natural-looking lines.

What I think: This is a very nice, good quality eyebrow pencil. It is easy to apply, the lead is fairly soft and you can blend it if you need to.
