What I think: This is a gorgeous powder foundation. Worn dry, you get a soft, natural look. Apply wet and it lasts hours and hours. Either way, you get a comfortable feel and beautiful finish.

Hard Candy Mod Quad ($6 USD on www.walmart.com) — Hard Candy Mod Quad Baked Eye Shadow Compact offers four baked eye shadows in a palette that creates sultry smokin’ hot looks. With a little bit of water, these eye shadows go from sheer to high foil metallic finish.

What I think: I have tried the Smoke Mirrors Grey Palette. It’s really pigmented. The two lightest colors work well for days, but all four shades can be layered and wet for a high-shine evening smoky eye!

What I think: I love the length and fullness that this mascara gave me. My lashes looked amazing! The only problem is, at the end of the day I had raccoon eyes. Which is sad! But, if you don’t mind that, this is a great mascara!

Sensai Eyebrow Pencil ($28 USD) — Eyebrows frame the face and a well-manicured brow can enhance your look that much more. With Sensai’s Eyebrow Pencil (available in black and brown) you can easily and minimally recreate this stylish look and transform your appearance.

This special oval-shaped lead has soft, powdery consistency and a spiral brush to perfectly articulate the brows. Ideal for natural-looking lines.

What I think: This is a very nice, good quality eyebrow pencil. It is easy to apply, the lead is fairly soft and you can blend it if you need to.

What I think: The SPF 50 in this foundation makes it perfect for the summer (and any time of the year). It is very light going on, but really evens the skin tone and covers imperfections. I tried it in light, and it was a little bit orange for me. I would need a more neutral shade to perfectly match my skin. There are 15 shades, so I’m sure there is something that I will like. I love the powder. It sets my makeup, but it doesn’t look like I have anything on, it blends in so perfectly. This comes in 8 shades. I have the fair and it is perfect for my skin tone.

Packaged in a slim compact with mirror, this sensational formulation is great for on-the-go use. Available in 3 shades Pomegranate (berry red), Guava (coral), and Paw Paw (terracotta).

What I think: The foundation covers well but is so light, it doesn’t look like I’m wearing makeup. The SPF 18 is a nice feature. I apply this foundation, a little powder, cream blush and I am off. I usually don’t need concealer with this.

We have had a few hot days in Kansas City, which has made me long for the summer and tan skin and easy makeup. So I used an at home spray tanning system (will review soon) and broke out the bronzer and shimmery makeup! Oh, I love the fun easy look of summer makeup!

Pressed Shimmer Powder ($38.00 USD) — A delicately fine shimmer powder that lights up the complexion, illuminating darkened areas and lackluster skin and creating a magical glow that seems to emanate from within. Contains ultrafine particles of shimmer (mica) to deflect light and illuminate the skin, creating a natural, radiant look. Does not have a glittery finish and thus can be worn day or night.

What I think: Pretty shimmer, and not too young for women who are a bit more mature and not looking for a glittery face. Available in 8 shades from a beigey-peach to a rose-pink, which is the most I’ve seen in an illuminating powder. The deeper shades make a really pretty blush. Brush it over bronzer for a lovely summer look.

Jewel Dust ($24.00 USD) — These exquisitely embellished powders add playful colour to the eyes when worn alone, and create rich, exotic tones when layered over neutral eye shadows. Available in a range of enchanting colours from ethereal pastels to dazzling metallics. Created from pure pigments which provide the highest luster and intensity. Unlike other shimmer powders, this exclusive formulation does not contain talc, fillers, or inferior silver pearl pigments. Can be worn alone or layered over creme and powder eye colour to create unique tones and range of effects. Micro fine shimmer pigments adds illuminating colour to the eyes. What I think: This is super pretty for summer. The lighter shades are gorgeous brushed all over the eye and the deeper and brighter shades can be used for an accent or a smoky eye.

Professional Brush Soap ($15.00 USD) — Designed with your prized makeup brushes in mind, this unique Professional Brush Soap is formulated to clean, condition and sanitize, lengthening the lifespan of your brushes and making them work better for you. In a unique vintage-style shaving tin, this soap is designed for all brush shapes and sizes and works on both natural and synthetic fibers.

Unlike shampoo, which is designed for human hair types and can leave brushes limp or brittle, this special soap is universal in its cleansing properties. What I think: This is a fabulous and affordable cleanser for your brushes. It is so important to keep makeup brushes clean and this is easy and quick. Love it!

What I think: I really love the green primer, because it color corrects the red from my complexion. It goes on incredibly smooth and is great under makeup. My skin does not turn green when I use it, so don’t worry about that. The nude is fantastic for evening out skintone and the pink is a pretty highlighter for cheekbones and under the eyebrow.
