New Fall Offerings From L’Occitane!

I have recently received a wonderful package of new fall L’Occitane products for my honest review. As a fan of L’Occitane, I was so excited!

L’Occitane has introduced a face oil to their luxurious Divine collection, fresh body gels and other soaps to their Bonne Mine Collection and a new bath and body collection called Aromachologie.

I really enjoyed testing these products as they contain natural ingredients that I feel good about applying to my skin.

L'Occitane Divine Oil — L’Occitane Divine Oil

L’Occitane Divine Youth Oil ($96 USD) — This ‘liquid gold’ formula features seven unique plant oils to enhance skin’s overall texture and radiance. To be used both day and night; this luxurious lightweight oil ($96) will give skin a much-needed surge of moisture.

What I think: Love this luxurious oil. I have been using it in place of my night time serum. It is so moisturizing, and once it sinks it, it is not greasy at all. In the morning, my skin is so soft and hydrated.

L'Occitane Bonne Mere Lemon Shower Gel — L’Occitane Bonne Mere Lemon Shower Gel

L’Occitane Bonne Mere Collection: In honor of the original Marseille Soap, we celebrate our Provencal heritage by introducing the newest additions to the Bonne Mere family. This collection includes our emblematic Marseille cube Soap ($14), a Marseille Liquid Soap ($20), and stackable Shower Gels ($14) in five yummy Peach, Honey, Lemon, Rosemary & Olive.

I have been enjoying the Bonne Mere Lemon Shower Gel ($14 USD) — Enriched with lemon essential oil, this shower gel gently cleanses the body and perfumes it with a zesty and sunny fragrance, transporting you to an early morning stroll through the market of Menton, Provence. Tested under dermatological control.

What I think: This shower gel has such a lovely fresh scent. I have been using it also as a shave gel, and it works really well. Plus, the scent of lemon lingers on my skin. I would love to try it in the other scents, too. The containers are stackable (there is a square indentation on the bottom of the bottle), so you can have a few in your shower and they won’t take up too much space.

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of September 1, 2014!

It is finally cooling down in Kansas City! Yay! It’s now time to thinking about fixing my summer skin.

So, my faves this week include skincare picks such as a mask, an eye cream and a rich cream I love to use at night. I also have been enjoying a combo day and night lip balm and a new foundation. All of these products were sent to me for my honest review.

What have you been loving this week?

Lierac Magnificence Day & Night Velvety Cream ($78 USD) — This rich and velvety cream is highly concentrated in patented D-Glyox complex and enriched with botanical oils that nourish the skin to instantly smooth and improve skin texture. What I think: I have been using this luxe night cream for a couple of weeks now. It is so creamy in texture and does not feel greasy once I apply it. It is so soothing and moisturizing and in the morning my skin is soft and refreshed! This is perfect for the cool weather that is coming, my skin will definitely need the moisture.

What I think: This is a great concept. It is nice to have two products in one convenient stick. I just wish that the formulas were a little more moisturizing and little less hard and waxy. I do think that the SPF is so good to have and it is a great price!

What I think: This is a very sheer, natural looking foundation. It blends in to the skin so well, it looks like I am not wearing makeup at all! I like that it contains natural ingredients and is good for my skin.

Freeman Feeling Beautiful Revealing Peel-Off Facial Mask ($3.99 USD) — This revealing peel-off mask enhanced with pomegranate extract helps clarify and fortify skin. What I think: Freeman masks are such a great buy because they are super affordable and work very well. I applied this mask this week and left it on for about 10 minutes. It peeled off afterwards very easily. And it left my skin very smooth and made my pores appear smaller!

What I Think: Love an eye cream that works on different eye issues! I don’t have a lot of fine lines or wrinkles yet (knock on wood), but I do have dark circles and this has seemed to lessen the appearance of those, so it’s a win for me!

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of August 25th!

My last week of August was hot and exhausting, so glad it’s the long weekend! I have been trying products sent to me for review that are great for the end of summer.

This week I have been enjoying a yummy scented body wash, a night skin treatment, two amazing eye shadow brushes, spray to remove chlorine from hair, tinted brow gel and healthy wheat grass tablets (I am trying to get healthier).

What I think: I love all of the Neutrogena Rainbath washes, and this is one of my favorite scents. It’s fresh and sweet-scented, and my skin is clean and very soft after washing. I love using it as bubble bath.

What I think: I have been using this every night for about a week. When I apply it, it leaves sinks right into my skin, without leaving it greasy. In the morning, my skin is so soft and smooth. And very glowy! This is a good product if your skin is dry and dull.

What I think: Both of these brushes are now my favorite eye shadow brushes. The all over shadow brush works well from brow bone down to lashes and the crease brush is amazing! Gives just the right amount of pigment for my crease. Love! They are both made very well and are gorgeous!

What I think: This is a really nice brow gel that can help create the full brow look that is in right now. I love knowing that this is a product that can help the health of my brows. It’s also really easy to use, just swipe on with the brush and use the comb on the other end to tame your brows.

Pines Wheat Grass 250 Tablets ($18.95 USD for one bottle) — Pound for pound, PINES Wheat Grass is many times richer in chlorophyll and iron than spinach. Its protein level averages 25 percent and it contains virtually every vitamin known, along with 20 amino acids, including the eight that are considered essential for human health.

What I think: Wheat grass pills are such a healthy way to get so many essential vitamins. The only thing that I don’t care for is that you have to take 7 tablets a day to get the benefits. But, its worth it for this healthy supplement.

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of August 18th!

It was so hot in Kansas City this week! I didn’t even want to go outside, but as a busy woman, I had errands to run. At least my makeup stayed put!

This week, I have been loving waterproof eye liners and mascara, a new powder foundation, a fresh body scrub, a cute new headband, and a rich body lotion.

What I think: I am so impressed with both of these products! The liners work very well, and it’s easy to get a thick line and cat’s eye. I especially love the mocha and marine liners. They will be great for fall! The mascara is perfect for this hot weather, as it doesn’t run or smear after dry.

VMV Hypoallergenics Illuminants Brilliant Finish 25 Powder Foundation ($45 USD) — This brightening, protective powder-foundation for all skin types works as an SPF 25 physical barrier against skin-darkening light while masking subtle hyperpigmentations and other imperfections. Smooth, light, and pore-friendly. Provides both a silky-sheer powder finish (applied dry), or a rich, creamy texture and flawlessly-full coverage (applied with wet sponge).

What I think: Right now, I have been using this in Chantilly (fair) dry as a light foundation. It works great in the heat. When it gets cooler, I will probably use it wet for more coverage. It lasts all day and doesn’t stick in my pores. I also love the case that it comes in.

Laura Mercier Eau Fraiche Verbena Infusion Gel Body Scrub ($40 USD) — Refresh and revive with this invigorating gel cleanser that gently exfoliates while removing impurities without drying or stripping skin of its natural oils. What I think: This smells fantastic! So fresh! I also love the gel consistency of this. I have never tried a gel scrub and I like how gentle it is on my skin.

What I think: This bow is so cute! I love the dark denim look. It is great to keep my hair off of my face and will be perfect for fall outfits!

What I think: Being in my forties, I can really see a change in my neck skin. So it’s time to try a great cream! This one really moisturizes, but it is a bit heavy. I think it will be wonderful for the colder months. Now, I apply it very lightly in upward strokes and am seeing a difference on the lines and wrinkles on my neck.

During this fun, but emotional week, I have been loving a luxe new mascara, tropical lime-scented body products, a dark-circle buster, waterproof bright eyeliner, and a light skincare line.

What I think: This is such a fun summer color! I have been enjoying using it in the heat and humidity because it doesn’t budge! I would definitely love to try darker colors for fall.

What I think: I have been testing the toner and lotion. I love the light scents and formulas. Perfect for the hot summer and going into the fall. I have been using toners a lot this summer, and this one smells fantastic and is very cooling. The lotion is perfect for morning and night — it is so moisturizing, but not greasy at all.

Give Good Lip With New Lipsticks, Liners and Glosses!

Wow! I have been sent lots of wonderful new lip products to try over the last few weeks. So I have tons to review today!

What I’ve noticed in the products I have received is that it seems like a more polished lip is on trend. Lipsticks definitely are in as are lip liners. And many of the glosses I have tried lately are full colored and opaque. I am usually more of a sheer lip lady, but I think I might have to go for a more dramatic look in the fall.

What I think: I really love this lip liner duo. It comes in a lighter and darker shade and I have been using both — the lighter when I wear a sheer gloss and darker with a fuller coverage lipstick. The lipstick is gorgeous too! It is very moisturizing and has a bit of a shimmer to it. Love!

What I think: So moisturizing! It is almost like wearing a creamy gloss and I think that is due to the cherry oil. Some of the shades are almost a matte crème and some have a bit of shimmer to them. And they smell really nice, too!

Mally Beauty Lip Magnifier (retails for $20, now $15 for the month of August) — combines luminous color with a creamy, ultra-fierce lip gloss. What I think: I have been using this in Soft Nude, which is a gorgeous neutral. I like it alone, or I can apply lipstick or gloss over it. It has a bit of a pleasant minty taste and is not sticky at all.

What I think: Mehron makes a lot of theatrical makeup, but they also have a fab beauty line. The products are affordable and work really well. I have been using a gorgeous combo of a new shade of the liner called Sweet — a perfect match for my lip color, a pinky nude — with a Glosstone called Coral Reef. I have been wearing a lot of pink and the coral is an opaque cream that will look gorgeous as a transition color into fall. The liner helps my color from feathering or fading. Win win!

Product Round-Up — My Fave Beauty Things Week of August 5th!

Another week of beauty has gone by! I was lucky enough to have the week off and had a fun stay-cation with my kids before they head back to school next week.

I think the theme for this weeks favorite products is “natural”. I have tried a tinted lip and cheek balm, a Kona coffee body scrub, a hydrating hair conditioner, a honey scented body lotion and gorgeous mineral eye shadows and blush!

Mullein & Sparrow Tinted Lip & Cheek Balm ($22 for 1 oz) — An all natural tinted balm to give your lips and cheeks a slight flush and dewy finish. Apply desired amount to lips for nourishment, protection, and color. Dab a small amount on cheeks as a light cream blush.

What I think: This organic lip balm gives a light rosy color on lip and cheek — so pretty. It has an herbal scent that isn’t my favorite, but I do like how good it is for my skin.

What I think: The instructions on this conditioner say to apply it and instantly rinse it off. I did so and was really surprised on how soft my hair was, after I dried it. It is also great to use on kids who wriggle when you try to detangle hair!

What I think: I haven’t tried this mineral makeup brand before and was glad to receive these samples. Most of my blushes are pink or coral, so I am loving this matte. peachy shade. Really pretty for summer and very well-pigmented so I think it will be great for fall as well. The shadows are pretty, but didn’t show up well on me, so I wet them and they are so pretty. I especially love the Lime.
