IMG_2977.JPG

Hi all!  I started back up with Ipsy Glam Bag Plus ($25 USD) in February. I subscribed in October and November.  It is a box that will always include 5 full-sized items.

I was very happy with my October box, but not so happy with November’s, so I cancelled. but thought I would give it a go again!

Here is what I received:’

This is a complete face palette for those with fair to light skin (like me). I have tried this once since I’ve got it and really like the blush and bronzer.  I have the Bye Bye Pores powder in a compact and really like it.  The highlighter is pretty subtle, but I want to try to make it work.

This tarte palette is very pretty.  But, I have all of these shades in other palettes, so I’ve decided to give it away or sell it.  It would make a really nice gift.  It’s also very compact, so will be great for travel.  I’m just not a fan of tarte shadows.

I was very excited to try this cream.  Son & Park is a Korean Beauty brand, and I have been loving Korean skincare lately!  I have tried this.  It is highly fragranced, like perfume, which I am not a fan of.  But, I do like how it feels on my skin.  It makes my skin smooth and soft.  It’s not really glowy, though. It is really nice under foundation.  I am going to continue to use it.

Oops!  I forgot to take a close up of the Hanalei Sugar Lip Scrub.  I do really like this.  It’s gentle and has a sugary-lemon taste.  It leaves my lips very hydrated!

As for the lipstick, I don’t wear red lipsticks, so I will be giving this away.  It’s a little irritating, because in the beauty survey for Ipsy, I put that I only wear nude lips.  This also came in a nude, so I don’t know why I got red!

This was a pretty good box!  I will use the IT palette, the cream and the lip scrub.  That makes the box worth it to me.  I’m looking forward to the March box!

Do you get Ipsy Glam Bag Plus?  What did you get this month?

Pumpkin Spice Hued Beauty for Fall

Fall is truly here in Kansas City!  Today was finally cooler, although rainy.  I guess you can’t have everything!

I have to say, I do like the occasional pumpkin spice latte and really love fall pumpkin goodies!  I don’t wear a lot of orange, but I do love accents this time of year.  Here are some fun pumpkin spine beauty ideas:

Lauren B. Beauty Runyon Canyon

Lauren B. Beauty Runyon Canyon ($18 USD) — A luscious deep caramel glaze with red undertones, this shade warms up even the palest skin. This formula is non-toxic, eco and vegan friendly!

What I think:  I love this nail color! It’s a warm orangey brown and perfect for fall nail looks.  I love that this is non-toxic.  It lasts at least a few days with at top coat.  So pretty!

Avon True Color Lipstick in Silky Peach

Avon True Color Lipstick in Silky Peach ($8 USD) — Lip-nourishing formula with Shea Butter, Omega-3 Oil and Vitamin E conditions and moisturizes lips for the upcoming windy months. With over 40 different shades and two finishes you can match your lip to all your favorite holiday drinks.

What I think: This is more of a spicy peach and is perfect for the Fall! It has a bit of shimmer to it, which is fun. This is a hydrating color that feels so nice on!

Finding Ferdinand Custom Mini Lipstick

Finding Ferdinand Custom Mini Lipstick ($6 USD) — In just three days you can have your very own PSL LIP. Finding Ferdinand allows you to mix and match colors to create your very own custom shade! Afraid of commitment? Order a mini sample to make sure you love the color! You simply select up to 4 colors, choose the intensity of each, pick a creamy, matte or sheer finish and name your custom shade. It’s that easy.

What I think: I haven’t tried this custom service yet, but I think it’s so cool that you can make the exact color of lipstick that you like! The color above is so pretty, and if you’d like it, you can create it yourself!

Rituals Good Luck Scrub

Rituals Good Luck Scrub ($29 USD) — This sugar scrub out-sweets the pumpkin spice with aromas of orange and cedar wood. Specially developed to revitalize and nourish even the driest of skin. Its luxurious combination or organic sugar and softening oils, leaves your skin ulta-nourished ready to bare the cold.

What I think: Although this doesn’t smell like pumpkin spice, it is sweet and spicy!  Not only does this fun orange scrub smell amazing, it leaves my skin very soft after use.

Finding Ferdinand’s Custom Overshadow Palette

I was so happy to receive a Finding Ferdinand Custom Overshadow Palette for my honest review!  I (like many beauty bloggers) love eye shadow palettes.  I am excited to be able to share this with you!

The Overshadow Palette holds 8 eye shadows.  You get to choose which 8 out of a selection of 60.  They come in a range of colors and textures.  You receive the palette, 8 shadows, a dual ended brush, and a sticker sheet for $60.

I didn’t choose my shadows, but I received a fun, summery mix:

I’m not sure what the names of my colors are, but they are all very pretty.  Here they are swatched:

They are all matte but the 2nd, 3rd and 5th color.  The shimmers have more pigment when swatched, but all of the colors can be built up for a stronger look.  The first four colors look very summery, but the last four will work well for fall, too.  Their is a bit of kick in the pan when I swirl my brush around, but it’s not too bad.

Here’s a look at the palette again:

The palette is magnetic and the eye shadows are easy to remove and replace.  The brush works well to apply them, it’s of nice quality.  And the mirror is large which I like!

I do recommend this for the customization.  You can make the perfect palette for you, so there isn’t any useless or filler shades.  It is spendy, but it’s good quality.

I’m interested in trying more Finding Ferdinand products and seeing what else they will come out with!  I also suggest checking out their Starter Kit 2.0.  It’s a lip palette with 22 pans of lip color and room to mix.  Once you find the combo that you like the most, you can submit it and redeem a code for a free custom lispstick.  So cool!  Purchase these, other palettes or custom-make a new lipstick at www.findingferdinand.com.

Have you tried Franz Ferdinand?  If so, let me know what you think!
