My Beauty Favorites — Week of October 26-November 1, 2015

Happy Halloween! I am doing my weekly favorites post today, because tomorrow I start my holiday gift giving guides. I am very excited about all of the wonderful gift ideas I will be sharing with you!

But today, it’s about my favorite beauty products from this week. I am loving a combo nail top and base coat, an elegant soap-on-a-rope and two different, but amazing lip balms:

Lauren B. Dual Base Top Coat ($22 USD) — Lauren B. Beauty’s multi-tasking Dual Base/ Top Coat acts as both a primer and a sealant for your nails. What I think: I have been using this as my base and top coat for a couple of weeks now. It’s amazing! My weekly manicures have been staying fresh for at least a day or two longer than usual. What I think: I have been using this eye cream for about a week now, day and night. I am enjoying how it instantly hydrates the eye area. That of course makes the fine lines less noticeable. My dark circles do look a little less obvious, but I will keep using it longer hoping to see even more changes.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of October 19-25, 2015

It’s finally cooling down in Kansas City! Yay! I’m excited about the cooler weather so that I can wear new sweaters and boots. I was also getting tired of the heat. Cooler weather feels festive, too, which I love this time of year!

What I think: I have been testing the mascara, gel eye liners and lip butters. The Mascara is really fun to use and you can adjust it to the look that you want. The gel eye liners glide across my lid and gives great color. The tubes that the lip butter come in are very elegant, but the lip butter itself is a bit drying on my lips. They give a good butter payoff, though.

I received my October PopSugar Must Have a few days ago and have been enjoying the contents! For a Fall box, it doesn’t have Autumnal or Halloween colors, but the items are really cozy. Here is what is in the box:

I’m very excited to read this book! Mindy is charming and funny. I haven’t read her last book, but I think this will be entertaining!

I haven’t tried them yet, but am looking forward to it!
