My Beauty Favorites — Week of October 26-November 1, 2015

Happy Halloween!  I am doing my weekly favorites post today, because tomorrow I start my holiday gift giving guides.  I am very excited about all of the wonderful gift ideas I will be sharing with you!

But today, it’s about my favorite beauty products from this week. I am loving a combo nail top and base coat, an elegant soap-on-a-rope and two different, but amazing lip balms:

Lauren B. Dual Base Top Coat
Lauren B. Dual Base Top Coat

Lauren B. Dual Base Top Coat ($22 USD) — Lauren B. Beauty’s multi-tasking Dual Base/ Top Coat acts as both a primer and a sealant for your nails. Paint on this quick-drying formula to create a smooth foundation for your color. The results are a high-gloss, chip-resistant finish that also guards against dryness, breakage and peeling.

What I think:  I have been using this as my base and top coat for a couple of weeks now.  It’s amazing!  My weekly manicures have been staying fresh for at least a day or two longer than usual.  My nails are shiny and chip free.   And the fact that one product does two jobs, it’s less stuff for me to have to use!

Senteurs D'Orient Hamman Soaps Orange Blossom

Senteurs D’Orient Hamman Soaps Orange Blossom ($38 USD) — Infusing the fresh Mediterranean air with soft sensuality, Orange Blossoms uplift the spirit with a clean and floral yet woodsy perfume.  Selecting only the very best of what is offered by nature, all products have been carefully created with patience and determination over many years.

What I think: This smells amazing!  I love the smell of orange blossoms.  Plus it is very beautiful, from the packaging to the soap itself.  With the attached rope, it is easy to hang on the shower and use.  This would be a really fun holiday gift or stocking stuffer.

Mandarin Lip Butter Stick in Peach

Mandarin Lip Butter Stick in Peach ($16.50 USD) — Repair and protect with this deeply nourishing lip treatment formulated with a luxurious blend of softening oils, butters, and waxes. Mandarin oil refreshes and soothes dry, chapped lips while rich shea butter and sunflower waxes deeply nourish for long-lasting care and comfort. Each healing stick also features vitamin E, known for its advanced antioxidant properties. This 88 to 99 percent natural formula is available in four tints and one colorless option, all of which can be worn alone or layered under a lipstick or lip gloss.

What I think: Colored lip butters are wonderful on days that I don’t want to be fussy, but I still want a little color.  Plus, it glides right on and hydrates well.

Carmex Winter Mint
Carmex Winter Mint

Another great lip balm, Carma Laboratories, Inc., the manufacturer of Carmex® Lip Balm products, announced the debut of NEW Limited-Edition Carmex® Winter Mint Lip Balm Click Sticks. Rolling out now and available until supplies last, the new seasonal flavor combines the invigorating freshness of winter with a kiss of mint and comes in convenient click sticks that glide on lips easily.

Carmex® Winter Mint Lip Balm Click Sticks are available to consumers as part of specially marked two-pack BOGO (Buy-One-Get-One-Free) promotion and four-pack B3G1 (Buy-Three-Get-One-Free) promotion, giving Carmex® fans the chance to stock up just in time for the winter season. Both of these offers combine the best-selling Carmex® Original Lip Balm Click Stick or Carmex® Original Lip Balm Tube with a bonus Winter Mint seasonal stick.

What I think:  Loving the new minty flavor.  It is refreshing and keeps lips very soft.  I have been a fan of Carmex since the 1990’s when it was only offered in a pot.  And I still love how great it works for chapped lips still.

The specially marked packages will be available at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS and other fine retailers ($1.59 – $4.29 USD).
