My Beauty Favorites — Week of November 6-13, 2016

It finally feels like fall in Kansas City! It has been much cooler the last few days and I have finally been able to wear my boots and sweaters. Yay!

This week I am loving a variety of products including a lush fragrance, purifying hair care, nail polish with gold and a very fall body wash:

Molton Brown Rosa Absolute Eau de Toilette ($65 USD) — An opulent, floral eau de toilette, evoking romantic femininity with Italian red rose, spicy pink pepper and sweet vanilla.

What I think: This smells amazing, really sweet and floral, but it has a little spice to it, too. I think it’s perfect for the fall and winter, it’s a substantial scent.

What I think: This is a really cool system. My hair gets oily sometimes so it’s nice to treat it to a great deep cleaning. You use the mask first, then the shampoo. I brush the mask on my scalp and leave it on for about 5 minutes then rinse it out and use the shampoo. The system leaves my hair so soft and clean, without drying it out.

What I think: the hardener is really nice on. It leaves nails with a soft gold glitter. It does leave nails harder and protects them. The cuticle eraser treats my dry cuticles and makes my nails look much smoother.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of September 26 – October 2, 2016

I can’t believe it’s October already! I love fall and the holidays are right around the corner! Plus, it’s a bit cooler now and I am really looking forward to crisp fall days!

My fave products this week are lip products and fragrances that are perfect for the fall.

Burt’s Bees Ginger Spice Moisturizing Lip Balm ($3.29 USD) — The new Ginger Spice flavor will conjure up delicious thoughts of freshly baked ginger snap cookies with its spicy notes of ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and clove undercut by sweeter notes of butter cookie, marzipan and vanilla spun sugar. It contains some of the same sweet notes as Princess, but settles on the skin a little darker than its predecessor. It has notes of red raspberry, white peach, creamy coconut, jasmine and more.

What I think: I love this scent for fall! It is very sultry scent, but a little sweet, too. I like that it is not too strong!

What I think: This is a nice spicy scent, very manly! My husband loves a spicy scent, and I love that this once is affordable, too.

What I think: These fragrances smell as bright as they look! The Truly Pink is a beautiful floral, and the Gap So Pink is fresh and zesty. The two Lacoste scents are so pretty! The Love of Pink is citrusy and a bit sultry with the musk and vanilla. The Joy of Pink is light and fruity. I haven’t tried the Cute Pink, but is sounds fruity and sweet.

There is a lovely pink scent here for everyone, plus I love the a percentage is going to support BCA! So pick up one or two to smell amazing and feel great too!

I hope everyone had a great, long weekend! It is still very hot in Kansas City, but I am looking forward to the autumn and cooler weather!

What I think: These cool new tools make my eyes look amazing! I like the curler, but it does take some getting used to. The rubber pad is big and it makes it a little tricky to grab my lashes. But once I do, it curls my lashes nicely. And speaking of lashes, the lash separator helps remove clumps after mascara application. I have never seen anything like this, but it’s really easy to use because it fits the shape of my eyes.

The tweezers are perfect for removing those little hairs that evade — and also work well with my husbands splinters!

It’s been cooling down in Kansas City this week and the weather has been pleasant. My kids go back to school this week, and I am trying to squeeze the last bits of summer that I can!

What I think: I was sent this in Colette to test. And I love it! The bottle is gorgeous. The spray smells fresh and sultry. Perfect for hot summer days. The spray isn’t sticky or harmful to my hair. The only thing is that it isn’t very long lasting, I have to reapply during the day. But, I do love having scent in my hair!
