Brand Review: Perfectly Posh

Perfectly Posh is a company that uses natural ingredients and has fun names and packaging, which are both wins in my book! Everything smells amazing, too!

They use independent consultants, like my friend Britt, to sell the products all over the US. I tried a few of her products for my honest review:

Bare it All Micellar Tonic ($20 USD)– Cleanse and tone with this no-rinse, 3-in-1 makeup remover, facial cleanser, and moisturizer with a skin-calming blend of lavender, sage, and peppermint essential oils. Reishi mushroom extract helps promote cell renewal while saw palmetto, chamomile, and calendula deep clean, so you can take it all off. Gentle enough for everyday use. Apply cleansing tonic to a cotton pad and gently wipe until skin is completely clean. Use daily, morning and night. No rinsing required.

What I think: I’m a big fan of Micellar cleanser because they are so easy to use, not water required. Also, they remove all dirt and makeup from my face. This one smells really fresh, and cleans very deeply. But, it leaves my skin really soft. This is a perfect summer cleanser!

All I’ve Avo Wanted Hydrating, Nourishing Face Mask ($19 USD) — If you’re looking for soft, bright, youthful-looking skin, this creamy face mask is all you’ve avo needed. Avocado oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter nourish and moisturize while milk helps soothe and rejuvenate. Apply a thin layer on your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5–10 minutes. Rinse well and follow with your favorite moisturizer.

What I think: This mask hydrates so well. It’s very creamy and really moisturizes skin. I think this will be perfect for the colder months when my skin becomes dry. Also nice for aging skin, because it plumps and smooths skin.

Go West Detoxing, Exfoliating Face Mask ($19 USD) — Red clay and gritty volcanic ash help detox pores and exfoliate dry skin, while antioxidant-rich rosehip oil and calming licorice root extract nourish. Apply a thin layer on your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5–10 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Follow with moisturizer to keep your freshly exfoliated face looking soft and lovely.

What I think: I love the smell of this mask. It has a spicy citrusy scent. Very earthy. The texture is like a thin clay. It’s a little irritating for my sensitive skin, but it did clean out my pores. I would say that it is amazing for those with normal to oily skin.

Field Better Soon Chunk ($9 USD)–Calm your skin and your mind as you get clean. This big bath bar is filled with oatmeal and lavender to help reduce irritation and inflammation so your skin feels soothed and hydrated. Plus, the scent of rolling lavender fields will put your mind at ease, too. Use daily in the shower or bath and wash from head to toe for a peaceful clean.

What I think: I love this lavender scented bar. It has bits of dried lavender in it and it smells so clean and soothing. Its a really moisturizing bar and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. This is such a nice bath soap to have, and I am excited to try other scents of Chunks.

Hello Sweetie Big Fat Yummy Hand Crème ($9 USD) — Say hello to skin that is sweet-smelling and oh-so-soft. Our rich blend of apricot kernel oil, coconut oil, vitamin E, and aloe nourishes tired, dry hands without leaving them feeling greasy. Apply anytime to enjoy a big dose of hydration and a sugared vanilla scent you’re sure to be sweet on. The fragrance is sweet and sunny sugared vanilla.

What I think: If you love sweet vanilla scents, this hand lotion is for you. It has a rich and creamy formula, which is perfect for hands. And it smells so yummy!

Hippie Hooray Body Crème ($19 USD) — Summer calls for intensely soft and supple skin without feeling weighed down. Infused with rejuvenating pomegranate seed oil to help promote cell turnover and reveal younger-looking skin, this body crème features French plum oil to moisturize without any greasy residue and a light, not-too-sweet fruity vanilla scent. Apply generously from neck to toes as needed. The fragrance is light fruits, delicate flowers, and woody, decadent vanilla.

What I think: This is a sultry and sweet fragrance. It is not a heavy cream, which is perfect for summer. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin soft, not greasy.

I really like the product that I used. I think they are a little pricey, somewhere between drugstore and high end skin and body care prices. But I love that they are all natural and you can purchase them from great people! I intend on buying a few and reviewing more in the future.

L’Oreal Paris has launched some fun new makeup and skin care this month. I was sent some amazing products for my honest review. Here are my favorites:

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Metallic ($9.99 USD) — High impact matte color meets comfortable wear. With one stroke, apply bold, metallic, vivid color that won’t feather or bleed. These metallic lips are available in 6 radiant shades from beaming hot pink to foil-inspired silver. They feel comfortable on and I think they are so fun for going out.

L’Oreal’s Infallible Paints/Lips Matte ($9.99 USD) — Obtain velvety matte lips with ease. The product formula allows for high impact matte color without any discomfort, dryness, or transferring. Available in 6 trend-setting shades. I really like these, I don’t think they are too drying and they are highly pigmented.

L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Matte Lip Liners ($8.99 USD) — is rich in color and perfectly melts perfectly onto lips. Featuring a waterproof, creamy formula that glides on smoothly, and sets to a long-lasting matte finish. Create easy lip liner looks, use as a base color for longer wear, or contour for enhanced shape. I like this under matte lipsticks. It helps create a base and helps the lip color last longer.

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Concealer ($9.99 USD) Conceal to reveal a flawlessly illuminated complexion. The multi-action spotlighting formula provides a lightweight buildable coverage to conceal imperfections such as dark circles and highlight your best facial features. A wide, doe-foot tipped wand makes application a cinch… from classic under-eye placement, to highlighting and strobing. Available in 8 shades.

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Powder ($12.99 USD) — Discover the pro finish of longwear with a hydrating glow. This lightweight powder highlights your favorite features and imparts all-over illumination. A built-in highlighter allows you to have control over the levels of coverage and glow. The top shade is more shimmery and the bottom, more satin. I like using this as a summer powder foundation when I’m looking for light makeup. Available in 8 shades.

L’Oréal Paris Pure-Clay Cleansers ($6.99 USD each) — The brand’s first daily clay-to-mousse cleansers. When activated with water, the clay formula transforms into an airy-mousse. Each of the three different formulas remove everyday impurities such as dirt, oil and pollution, and are enhanced with a key, nature-sourced ingredient, such as charcoal, red algae and eucalyptus, to provide different skincare benefits. Pure-Clay Cleansers go beyond basic cleansing and offer unique end benefits, suitable for all skin types. All three formulas have been dermatologist tested for safety and are free of parabens, silicones, and phthalates. I like how they all clean my skin well and leave it smooth!

Brand Review — PUR Cosmetics

PUR Cosmetics is a great brand that includes good-for-your-skin ingredients that not only help cover skin imperfections but also help correct its overall appearance. Plus, their products are very on-trend and gorgeous!

I was sent some amazing products for my honest review. Here’s what I think:

Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette ($34 USD) Creating a flawless eye look is super simple if you have the perfect mix of neutral, copper and bronze shades handy. Now you can turn everyday and night into a soiree with this super versatile 12-piece eye shadow collection. Filled with highly pigmented and silky smooth shadows, the four versatile matte shades, four satin shades and four shimmers work flawlessly together for all skin tones. Super blendable and anything but basic, this essential palette takes the guesswork out of your eye look. Just use the colors in the vertical rows from top to bottom for highlight, definition and drama.

What I think: These colors are very pigmented and pretty, for a neutral eye look. I like the different finishes and looks that I can create. Currently, I have a lot of natural palettes and am loving a bit more color, but this is great for every day looks!

Contour Diaries Contour Palette ($32 USD) — you too can sculpt and define your makeup story. Featuring three super creamy and blendable shades for contouring and three luminious shades for highlighting, this 6-piece contour and highlight palette makes it easy to accentuate like a pro. The lighter shades are used to draw soft, “lit from within” attention to the high points of the face and help brighten the dark shadows that may lurk under the eyes. The darker shades create faux shadows that chisel your cheekbones or slenderize other facial features. These buildable powders are mixable and customizable to create the right highlight and dimension for every skin tone. Get truly envious features instantly.

What I think: This is a great contouring palette. The shades blend so well for contouring. I have fair skin, so I would liked it if the lighter shades were a bit lighter, but the darker shades work nicely on my skin!

Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick ($18 USD) — Dump those dry matte lipsticks. Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks provide sumptuous lip color in an innovative mousse texture that glides on with ease and coats lips in a rich and conditioning burst of color in a true matte finish. Designed with color perfecting technology, the formula does not flake or dry lips and provides a smooth and flawless finish. Soft, kissable lips and bold colour – it’s everything you want in a matte.

What I think: These come is a great range of pretty shades. They last a long time and are very nicely pigmented. Like a lot of liquid matte lippies, they are a bit drying on, but they stay put all day!

No Filter Blurring Photography Primer ($33 USD) — Moisturize, color balance, prime and illuminate the skin in one step. This unique primer with prismatic blurring micro-pearls helps to color correct while age-defying skin care ingredients nourishes the skin and a vitamin-rich Energy Complex with moisturizing agave and essential fatty acids prep the skin for makeup application. Loaded with essential oils like Coconut, Olive, and Shea a drop of this into your foundation will result in a dewy yet shine-free finish that boosts radiance and masks imperfections for a picture-perfect complexion.

What I think: This is such a pretty primer. It smooths my skin and gives it a soft glow. I love it under powder foundation, because it gives some hydration and make skin look glowy, not dry. It also helps foundation stay all day.

Melt Away Makeup Emulsifier ($23 USD) — Melt away makeup and nourish the skin with this gentle yet highly effective makeup remover for all skin types. Over a dozen natural oils and extracts combine to dissolve all traces of makeup including stubborn waterproof and long-wear makeup! Melt Away breaks down dirt, pigment and excess oils to keep skin looking clean, clear and radiantly shine-free!

What I think: This oil-based cleanser takes everything off! That’s so important in summer because of all the waterproof makeup I use. Once I cleanse my skin, it’s really hydrated and soft. It also has a natural, herbal scent. I like that it has natural oils that are so good for my skin!

Blue Agave Mask ($26 USD) — Give your skin an energizing boost with this ultra-refreshing blue agave mask. An Energy Complex of green tea, ginseng and Vitamin B helps stimulate the skin’s natural metabolism for the look of plumper, hydrated and refreshed skin. The cooling sensation and uplifting scent will leave your skin feeling totally revived.

What I think: I love this super-fun mask! To use it, I apply a generous amount on my face (avoiding my eyes). It takes about 15-20 minutes to dry down to a shimmery turquoise blue. Then it’s ready to peel off. It peels off easily and leaves my skin very smooth and glowing!

It has been so hot out! It is definitely the dog days of summer.

I have been loving the following liquid lipstick and nail polishes. They are both long lasting and fun for the summer:

Hi All! I just got back from a big road trip with my family a few days ago and have lots of products to review! I thought I’d start with fun summer beauty picks since I was gone for the first day of summer.

I am loving the following products:

What I think: I took this on my vacation. I popped it in my makeup bag, and whenever I needed to remove facial hair, it was easy and painless. Just use circular motions over the area to be treated and hair is removed. It takes a little bit to get all of it, but hair is removed (as well as dead skin). It is easy to clean, just pop the top of the device and clean with included brush. This is a neat little device.

What I think: Mally’s products are always high-performing and gorgeous! I have the blush in the Lighter shade. It’s a shimmering coral pink that looks amazing this time of year. It can be blended for a softer look, but it’s also buildable. The eyeshadow and eyeliner are both very pigmented and blendable, but once they set, they will stay all day!

What I think: I tried the Body Salt Scrub. It comes with a little spoon to help scoop the product out, which I liked. The scrub itself it perfect for pre-tanning or just getting rid of dead skin. My skin was soft and glowing afterwards.

What I think: I received this in Vetiver. It smells amazing, really fresh. It cools the body when sprayed under the arms. I think this is perfect for those who can wear natural deodorants. I need the extra strength stuff, so this only lasted a couple of hours on me. But if you don’t need clinical deodorants, this is a perfect choice!

They are very highly pigmented. They all glided on my arm and are very rich in color. There are so many gorgeous colors that it’s easy to create so many beautiful looks.
