I have been waiting for a while to try a BB Cream.  Big in Asia, BB creams are touted to be a combination moisturizer, primer, light foundation, SPF and to control oil (bb either stands for beauty balm or blemish balm).

I recently tried 3LAB’s Perfect BB Cream. Infused with 3LAB’s signature bio-engineered growth hormone and apple stem cell technology, PERFECT BB CREAM SPF 40 is a sheer tinted moisturizer designed regenerate new skin cells, brighten, moisturize, and protect the skin with a hint of sheer color.  A proprietary blend featuring Beta White, a biomimetic peptide that whitens, provides added benefits to illuminate the skin.

As an alternative to foundation or as a foundation primer, BB  CREAM will protect the skin from harmful sunrays, sooth and calm irritated skin and illuminate the skin while fighting the signs of aging, It is available in three shades: Shade #01, Shade #02 and Shade #03.  Each shade blends smoothly into the skin and provides a translucency and clarity with a non-greasy and quick absorbing formula.

What I think:  This cream has a fairly thick consistency, and a little goes a long way. I dab just a bit around my face and smooth it on with a sponge or brush.  I then take the included sponge roller and smooth it over my face to basically melt the product into my skin for a natural finish.  This gives me a matte look.  This is full coverage, so make sure you get the right shade.  I have shade #2 which is a beige that is a bit too yellow for my skin.  I do like how this feels and looks and love the high SPF.

What I think:  This eye-makeup remover is extremely gentle and effective.  One swipe on a cotton pad, and my waterproof eye makeup disappears!  The best part is that it doesn’t irritate my eyes at all!  I haven’t notices if my lashes look longer, but I have only been using it for a few weeks, but I can tell that my lashes are well conditioned.  Excellent product!

What I think: I have been using this cream at night over serum.  I smooth it over my face and neck.  After one use, my skin was smooth and moisturized; after a couple of weeks worth of use, I can tell that my skin is starting to looks a bit tighter.  I am going to continue use because I love how my skin looks!

What I think:  This is my least favorite product of the three.  It has kind of a dry texture, so it is a little hard to smooth under my eyes.  It also irritated my extremely sensitive eyes.  Because of this, I only used it once so I can’t really review the effects of the cream.

For lips: In 3 days, fills in the appearance of deep lines above and below lips.** In 2 weeks, 77% agree contour and shape of lips is visibly improved.*

While I am not the target audience for these products, I found them soothing and extremely moisturizing.  I love that the day cream has an SPF of 25 — important for women of all ages.  The applicator for the eye and lip cream is so smart — I apply the product with the flat end and smooth it around my eyes or lips with the silver ball.

Fab Anti-Aging Skincare By Caudalie — Plus Their New Website!

What I think:  This is such a nice and refreshing face mist. I use it after cleansing in the morning and I can tell it tightens my pores before I apply my Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid SPF 15  (see below).  It has a bit of a strong, herbal scent, though so it is not for those who do not enjoy strong fragrance in their skincare.

What I think:  I am loving this and use it every morning as my moisturizer and primer.  I find that it evens out my skin tone and makes lines and pores much less noticeable. It does give a little glow, but covers any shiny, oily spots on my face (hello, my forehead!). So awesome!

What I think: If you are looking for a luxurious eye cream, this is the one for you!  It feels fabulous — so cool and soothing once applied.  It also instantly makes the eye are look brighter and less puffy.  Use it morning and night — and go all around the eye with it — especially at night.  Your eye lids firmer and smoother in the morning.

Since I have been using Algenist, I have noticed that my skin is smoother (pores appear smaller and fine lines are less noticeable), and it has a youthful glow.  I have only been using Algenist for a few weeks, but I will keep using it and see how my skin changes over the next month or so.

The only thing that I don’t care for is that there is a little shimmer in it and I like my powder matte. This is for sale at a Target store near you.

Perfekt Beauty Cheek Perfection Gel ($28.00 USD) — gives an instant lit-from-within flush to the cheeks.   The multitasking formula glides on effortlessly to instantly per-fekt and enhance the appearance of the cheeks.
