Beauty Does Good: Anthony Logistics for Men Helps Gulf Coast Wildlife

Anthony Logistics for Men believes in giving back. Earlier this year the company gave a portion of proceeds to Haiti relief, and now they are giving 50 percent of all proceeds from their Anthony Logistics For Men Body Cleansing Gels and Shampoos to Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research and Brown Pelican bird adoption program (Louisiana’s state bird) to support the wildlife rescue efforts following the Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico.

As we all know, this oil spill has been tragically harming and killing defenseless animals in the Gulf area. Anthony For Men chose Tri-State Bird Rescue because the organization is one of only two organizations in the country that can professionally manage a response to a major spill. Rehabilitation of oiled wildlife is a complex, crisis-oriented endeavor and Tri-State takes a teamwork approach to oil spill training and response, stressing the need for regulatory agencies, responsible parties, state and federal wildlife professionals, colleagues in wildlife care and concerned citizens to work together both in preparations for and response to oil spills.

Tri-State Bird Rescue’s oil spill response team has been on the Gulf Coast since the last week in April and ALFM is proud to help fund their efforts.

Add Some Shimmer To Your Look This Summer With The Body Shop

The Body Shop Bronzing Powder ($18.50) is a beautiful bronzer to give color this summer. If you are like me and pile on the sunscreen, most of your color comes from bronzers. What I love about this one is that it is a lightweight, matte powder. It boasts light-diffusing particles to provide instant radiance and help reduce the appearance of fine lines. It also contains Community Trade marula oil from Namibia helps to repair skin’s moisture barrier plus Vitamin E which is an antioxidant that helps to soften, condition and protect skin.

Brush On Radiance ($21.00 USD) — Here’s where I like to get my very subtle shimmer. Actually, it is more of an illumination. Delipscious Sheer Lip Color ($12.00 USD) – This reminds me of a product that I used to wear in my 20’s — Clinique’s Almost Lipstick. They still make that, of course, but only in Black Honey. They used to have many different shimmery colors.

Awesome, right? Well — yes. The Instyler is super easy to use. I just take a section of my hair and hold the Instyler brush side on top and the brush smooths the hair while the cylinder rotates and applies heat. To make waves or curls, just rap hair around the cylinder, allow a few rotations, and release. Super cute!

My hair is wavy, but fairly thin. Of the three settings, I use the lowest one. I started using the highest setting, thinking my wavy hair needed it — but it fried my hair. The medium setting worked, but didn’t leave my hair shiny. So like baby bear, I used the smallest — I mean lowest — setting. And voila! My hair was straight and shiny! And curls stay longer, too. I would suggest experimenting with the settings, but only use the highest setting if you have very course or curly hair.

The cleanser suds up nicely and really cleans my skin without leaving it dry. The lifting serum instantly smooths out my skin and does make me look younger while cream hydrates so well. I have to be careful not to put too much serum on, or my face gets sticky. One and a half pumps seems to work the best.
