My Beauty Favorites — Week of April 24-30, 2017

We have had a rainy weekend in Kansas City, and it has been nice to relax inside! I have been enjoying some of the new beauty products I have been sent for my honest review!

My favorites this week include an iridescent highlighter, a new way to apply my makeup, an firming eye cream, a sea salt spray that makes my hair thicker

Hard Candy Iridescent Pearl Highlighter ($6 USD) is a pearl illuminator that leaves skin with a wearable but trendy iridescent shimmer. This powder includes light-reflective pearls that diffuse light. The universal shade is flattering on all skin tones and smoothly applies to your skin with easy soft, sweeping motions. The result is a trendy but wearable prismatic illumination that catches light and turns heads. Great lighting will follow you around everywhere you go and you will always be photo-ready with this beautifully unique iridescent highlighting powder.

What I think: I have been wanting to try this trend, and this is an affordable (and gorgeous) way to do it. I apply the powder anywhere I want to glow, including the cheekbones, tip of the nose, collarbones, and under the arch of my brows. It’s so pretty on. I use a little, but layer it and you get a great evening out look!

What I think: This is such an interesting way to apply makeup! It only takes a little bit of product, although when I use it, I find I need to do one area of my face at a time, because it doesn’t spread too well. It does blend nicely after a little bit of practice. The coverage is really good, too!

My Beauty Favorites — Week of April 17-23, 2017

It was a beautiful Sunday yesterday! It was warm in Kansas City and I got out to enjoy my daughter’s (and my husband the coach’s) lacrosse game. They won!

My favorite beauty products this week include amazing fragrances, a handy daily exfoliator, a gorgeous lip duo and volumizing dry shampoo:

My Beauty Favorites — Week of April 10-16, 2017

Happy Easter! I hope you had a great day with friends and family! I had a low key Easter, and made a ham dinner for my family.

My faves this week are perfect for the warmer seasons. They include a great blush/highlighter combo, a brightly-colored ponytail extension, and a hydrating face moisturizer:

It is warm and sunny today in Kansas City! I’m happy that spring is here and that it isn’t raining for a minute!

The Teasing Dust can be sprinkled directly onto roots in wide section of hair from the front of the head. For added texture, work product through hands, then rake through hair. Brand Review: Éclair Naturals

Happy Saturday! I’m so glad it’s the weekend!

I was recently sent a selection of products from Éclair Naturals, a new luxuriously pure hair and body care line. The line brings the best of nature at an affordable price with sustainably sourced and produced products! It uses natural food grade ingredients to create unique and efficacious formulas that are non-GMO, gluten free, soy free, vegan, and cruelty-free, and proudly made in the USA.

The Patchouli & Sandalwood is very spicy and nice for men or women who love natural scents!

Shower Gel – Grapefruit ($8.99 USD) –Luxurious blends of vegetable glycerin, aloe and vitamin E, gently cleanses skin, while botanical extracts replenish essential nutrients for a silky, healthy looking skin. This is one of my favorite of their products. It smells amazing and lathers well. It leaves my skin so clean and soft.

All Over Lotion – Sea Breeze ($8.99 USD) –Our creamy All Over Lotion is a luxurious blend of jojoba oil, shea butter and pure botanical extracts that provides long lasting hydration and nourishes skin. Absorbs quickly, leaving a smooth, non-greasy feel. This is not my favorite scent, but the lotion is very hydrating.
