What I think: I color my hair, so sulfate free hair care is important to keep the color fresh. This shampoo and conditioner does that, and really hydrates my hair!

The body wash has a fresh scent. Its incredibly hydrating and leaves skin soft.

My Skin & Co Liquid Treatment ($29.95 USD) — My Skin Liquid Treatment is made with Organic Tea Tree Oil and White and Black Willow Bark for the eradication of ingrown hairs and razor bumps.

What I think: This liquid is a really nice treatment for after shaving. It helps with my razor bumps. I don’t really get ingrown hairs, but I like having this on hand if I do.

Ulta Mother’s Day Haul

My kids gave me an Ulta gift card as a part of my Mother’s Day gifts this year. I don’t usually shop a lot for makeup since I receive a lot of fun products to review.

I was excited to grab some things I needed — and I got a fun free gift, too!

The items that I purchased was the Real Techniques 203 Tapered Shadow brush, The Ulta Beauty Matte Eye Primer and the Ulta Beauty Juice Infused Lip Oil in Green Tea + Avacado.

I’ve been playing with the palette and really like it. There are lots of fun eyeshadows. I find the mattes more pigmented than the glitters or shimmers, but they can be layered on for a deeper color. The highlighter, blushes and bronzer are highly pigmented and are very pretty on my fair skin. I like the blush brush that comes with it. The lip colors are bright. I like to wear softer lip colors, but they are nice. I am going to take this with me on my summer trip for my eyeshadows and face color. It will come in very handy.

Real Techniques Bold Metals 203 Tapered Shadow Brush ($12.99 USD) is densely packed and precision cut for blending shadow into the crease and eyelid for a seamless finish.

I lost my all over eyes hadow brush, so I needed a replacement. This picks up the pigment well and blends okay. I think it will work for now. The handle is nice and has a good weight to it.

Ulta Beauty Juice Infused Lip Oil in Green Tea + Avocado ($9 USD) — Ulta’s Juice Infused Lip Oil is a luxurious lip oil infused with a combination of natural ingredients that nourish and smooth your lips. Each of the shades offer separate ingredient benefits providing a combination of lip mending properties. The Juice Infused Lip Oils do not have any color once applied; they apply clear.

I like this very much. It has a fresh flavor and is very hydrating on. I wear lots of lip balms and oils and this is a good one! I’ll probably try some of the other flavors later.

Ulta Nude Matte Eye Primer ($12 USD) — Ulta’s Eye Primer is a must have product for a crease fee look that lasts all day! Use this exclusive eye primer under eyeshadow to prolong wear and eliminate creasing. Can be used with virtually any eyeshadow formula – powder, gel, mousse, loose pigment, you name it!

I haven’t used this yet, but I will tomorrow. I let you know if it’s awesome!

What I think: I love the bright packaging from the UK brand. The eyeshadow palette is so pretty, the colors are soft, but are pigmented well. The brow kit is such a nice tool to have! It colors and tames my crazy brows. The lipstick also has great pigment and feels very light on my lips. It’s has a satin texture.

What I think: The neutralizing crème helps with redness, which I have in my cheeks. It blends nicely and makes a smooth canvas for my foundation. The lippies are so pretty on! I have the duo above, the berries lippie shade duo. I usually go for lighter colors, but these are pretty for going out! And speaking of lighter colors, the magnolia-licious shade in the lipstick set is my favorite! I wear it for daytime, it’s so soft and goes with everything!

What I think: Maybelline eye shadow palettes are both affordable and gorgeous! These colors are shimmery and fun for the warm weather. I love wearing golds and bronzes in the summer with pops of color! The mascara gifts my tiny lashes volume and length and doesn’t flake into my sensitive eyes. And I LOVE the matte lipsticks. They are so hydrating and wear really well on. Plus, there’s a shade for all skin tones.

What I think: I have tried all of these, except for the new Bye Bye Pores Illumination before this deal. I have tried it now and really like it! It gives my skin a glow. I don’t use it all over, because it is like a highlighter on, but I brush it in my cheeks and nose to set my makeup an give a nice glow!

The concealer is my holy grail and I use it often. The primer is light and sinks right in the skin. It leaves my skin glowing! I can’t use the cleanser because it irritates my eyes, but my daughter loves it. It melts makeup off so well!

And the brush is so soft and blends nicely! IT Cosmetics’ brush are always amazing!

My Beauty Favorites — Week of May 1-7, 2017

Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great week! Last week in Kansas City started rainy and cool, but is ending on a very high note, it’s supposed to be 80 degrees today!

My favorites this week are products to treat skin and style hair. Great skin and hair are so important in warmer weather. I don’t wear as much makeup, but still want to glow.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of April 24-30, 2017

We have had a rainy weekend in Kansas City, and it has been nice to relax inside! I have been enjoying some of the new beauty products I have been sent for my honest review!

My favorites this week include an iridescent highlighter, a new way to apply my makeup, an firming eye cream, a sea salt spray that makes my hair thicker

What I think: I have been wanting to try this trend, and this is an affordable (and gorgeous) way to do it. I apply the powder anywhere I want to glow, including the cheekbones, tip of the nose, collarbones, and under the arch of my brows. It’s so pretty on. I use a little, but layer it and you get a great evening out look!

What I think: This is such an interesting way to apply makeup! It only takes a little bit of product, although when I use it, I find I need to do one area of my face at a time, because it doesn’t spread too well. It does blend nicely after a little bit of practice. The coverage is really good, too!

What I think: I have severe seasonal allergies, and my eyes get very irritated this time of year. So, I usually don’t wear eye cream as much. What I think: First of all, this smells amazing! I spritz it in damp hair and it thickens and gives my hair great waves. I just use a little, and it looks like I’ve been at the beach (lies since I live in the Midwest). This will be a mainstay this summer.
