My Beauty Favorites — Week of March 6-12, 2017

It’s been cold this week and has even snowed! But it is almost spring, which I am excited about!

Once I peeled it off, my skin was so soft and hydrated! And that’s strange because once it dries on the skin, the skin feels tight, but it is so moisturized after the mask is off! Very cool!

Brand Review: Kneipp

I love reviewing natural products because I love feeling good about what I am putting on my skin! Luckily, I was sent samples to test from Kneipp for my honest review.

125 years ago, the lifelong naturopathic studies of health pioneer Sebastian Kneipp, and his life learnings inspired the brand Kneipp. The body care and bath products in Kneipp are free from preservatives, paraffin and silicone oils, and are primarily vegan.

Below is my review of Kneipp’s best sellers – also known as Kneipp Fave 5 products:

Kneipp Arnica Herbal Bath Oil Joint & Muscle ($20 3.38 fl. oz, on sale for $18 now) — The arnica extract found in this oil is known as a revitalizing agent for achy joints and muscles. The formula also includes natural essential oils of cabreuva, rosemary and pine species. It has a strong scent, but really helps alleviate muscles soreness. It’s perfect for my rock-climbing daughter!

Kneipp Lavender Body Wash Relaxing ($6 for travel size, $14 for 6.76 oz) — With natural lavender oil, the soap-free and pH balanced formula cleanses gently, leaving skin soft and supple. The plant-derived formula improves the feel of the skin, and gives a balancing effect for mental or physical exertion. I think it smells so good! I love it in the evening, to help me relax.

Kneipp Lemon Verbena and Avocado Hand Cream Soft in Seconds ($10 USD) — The plant-based and nourishing formula contains avocado butter, jojoba oil and lemon verbena to help you get velvety smooth hands in seconds. This is a rich hand cream. I didn’t care for the scent, but it left my hands very soft.

It’s perfect for those days when you need to de-stress and relax. This is my favorite of these product because it smells amazing! It turns water a purpley-red and it bubbles really well.

My Beauty Favorites — Week of January 16-22, 2017

So we got through this week, yeah! Even though this week may have been a bit stressful, I still have been testing some amazing beauty products and enjoying them!

My faves include a gorgeous cream eyeliner, products to help keep your hands smooth in the elements and a matte lipstick:

jane iredale Mystikol eyeliners ($24 USD) — Create the sexy look you love with new improved Mystikol Powdered Eyeliners! The built-in brush makes a perfect line or smudged-out smoky eye. The powder/cream formula makes a shadow that won’t fade, crease or smear.

I love the creamy texture of these liners. Applying with the brush is so easy, the liner just glides across my lid. I could even make a cat’s eye with it, and I am not the best at that! All of the colors are gorgeous and so wearable. My favorite is Dark Topaz, but I love Amethyst and Smoky Quartz, too. I don’t usually wear black eyeliner, but the Onyx is a beautiful pure black.

They are a hydrating matte and feel as good as they look. They don’t dry down like a liquid matte, but as I don’t like those, this is the perfect way to get a matte lip! The only think I don’t care for is the scent. It’s really synthetic and a bit chemical. But it does fade. If they fix the scent, these will be some of my favorite lipsticks out there!

What I think: This is a very nice brush. It is large enough to give body and big waves while blowing dry. I also use it on dry hair to turn my hair under and smooth it. It leaves my hair soft and shiny!
