My Beauty Favorites — Week of October 2-8, 2017

As it turns to fall (sort of) in Kansas City, I have been taking care of my skin because the weather has been fluctuating between cold evenings and mornings to hot afternoons.  My skin has been needing TLC!

So, my faves this week include a natural, all purpose balm, hydrating hand and body butter and fall hues of lip and nail colors in plum:

The Body Shop Amazonian Saviour Multi-Purpose Balm

The Body Shop Amazonian Saviour Multi-Purpose Balm ($10 USD) — Packed with powerful natural origin oils and waxes, this multi-tasking balm helps to revive the brightness and appearance of tattoos, intensely nourishes dry skin and minimizes the appearance of skin marks with a nourishing, 100% natural-origin formula. Inspired by the Amazonian communities that have relied on natural oils to care for their skin for centuries, Amazonian Saviour™ Multi-Purpose Balm is made with just nine, 100% natural-origin ingredients. Enriched with Community Trade organic babassu oil and organic andiroba oil from Brazil. 100% vegetarian and never tested on animals.

What I think: This works well all over, from lips to hands to knees.  It is fragrance and flavor free so it can be used by those with fragrance allergies.  I love it as a lip balm, but I am using it on my cuticles and skin imperfections, too.  It feels amazing on and the 1.6 oz tin will last me a while!

Available at The Body Shop stores nationwide and here: TheBodyShop.com/En

Karité Crème Corps Hydrating Body Cream

Karité Crème Corps Hydrating Body Cream ($46 USD) –This decadent, dermatologist-developed, hypo-allergenic moisturizer features 30% raw, unrefined shea butter sourced from Ghana (one of the highest concentrations available on the market), organic unrefined coconut oil, sunflower seed oil and an antioxidant-rich blend of rosemary and rooibos extracts.

This helps restore lost moisture and optimizes skin-barrier function while leaving skin smooth, soft and supple. Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins A and E, it’s safe for all skin types and effective for problem spots such as elbows, knees and feet—and it’s the ideal complement to Karité Shea Butter Crème Mains Hand Cream ($36 USD).

What I think: Another all natural item, the body and hand creams are both rich and hydrating.  They have a light scent. Both are safe for sensitive skin and feel really nice on, plus they absorb quickly.

Rimmel London’s Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour ($5.79 USD) — Get ready for a bold, matte lip-look that stays on.a new liquid lipstick with high-intensity colour, a velvety matte finish and a long-lasting, comfortable wear.
What I think: Shown in Midnight and Plum This Show, two dark plum colors.  Plum This Show has a bit more reddish tones and Midnight is plummy purple.  They are both really pretty on.  They do stay on for a while, but are a bit drying as most matte colors are on me.  I think they are very pretty and affordable, which is great for picking up a few in fun colors!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure ($7.99) — This all-in-one formula with keratin boasts 7 benefits in one bottle— base coat, strength, treatment, salon color, topcoat, chip resistance and gel shine finish. Complete Salon manicure delivers up to 64% stronger nails and up to 10 days of chip-resistant wear. Plum colored shades available are Plums the World, a soft smokey plum and Society Ruler, a more reddish plum.
Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail Color ($8.99 USD) –The patented argan oil formula fuses intensive nourishment and instant moisture for healthy looking nails.Up to 10 days of fade-proof, chip-resistant wear. Shown in Exotic Acai, a deep plum creme.
What I think: I like both of these formula.  The Complete Salon Manicure has everything you need in one bottle, and I like that it’s easy!  But I think Color Therapy is my favorite formula because the color stays on for days and days!  And it is good for my nails.
What products have you been enjoying this week?  Any fun shades for fall?
