I have been testing a luxe skincare brand called Radical Skincare that fights aging by keeping antioxidants potent. Here is a description of what the brand claims:

What I think: This mask is so much fun to use! Apply a think layer on your skin, once it foams up, wash it off and you have smooth soft skin!

Radical Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum ($190 USD) — The powerhouse anti-wrinkle serum that shields against the free radicals responsible for skin ageing. The ingredients have been shown to increase collagen and elasticity in weeks.

What I think: This gorgeous serum instantly brings a glow to my skin, which it needs, especially in the cold Kansas City air. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks, but my skin does look smooth and bright. I don’t have many wrinkles yet, (knock on wood), and hopefully this will help me keep them away.

Radical Skincare Anti-Aging Restorative Moisture ($150 USD) — is about to change the way you look at these colder months. This wonderful rich moisturizer – protects, repairs and evens out the skin while keeping the skin hydrated in this frigid weather. While this moisturizer does exactly what it’s supposed to do – it does even more. What I think: What a rich, luxurious cream! I love using it at night before I go to sleep. I wake up with soft, smooth skin!

L’Occitane’s Newest Immortelle Brightening Products

What I think: I have been using this collection day and night for a few weeks and have seen some results. I think my skin is clearer in tone and a bit brighter. I do not have a lot of age spots yet (knock on wood), but my skin can get dull. I find that immediately after each application, my skin does look brighter. I have combination skin, and this does not seem to make me break out, which is great!

As for the products themselves, they are heavily scented with a floral/green fragrance. This is probably natural, but if you are fragrance sensitive, be aware.

The textures are nice. The serum and creams are not greasy at all and seem to quickly absorb.

What I think: I love these products! It’s crazy that they can be so gentle going on delivers powerful anti-aging benefits! They are fragrance-free and soothing when applied. I have sensitive skin and Algenist products do not irritate my skin.

Since I have been using Algenist, I have noticed that my skin is smoother (pores appear smaller and fine lines are less noticeable), and it has a youthful glow. I have only been using Algenist for a few weeks, but I will keep using it and see how my skin changes over the next month or so.
