How is your skin doing this winter? I guess it depends on where you live. If you are in the Northeast it has been cold and snowy, but in Kansas City it changes everyday. One day it’s 20 degrees and then next, 70!
So, I really need to take care of my skin! Here are some of my recent faves for soft and smooth skin:

Karin Herzog AHA Cream ($60) — Revive dull winter skin with this powerful, yet gentle overnight exfoliating treatment formulated with fruit acids, clarifying fruit extracts and nourishing vitamins. This buffered AHA formula removes dead cells and revitalizes dull skin to reduce the appearance of hyper pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. The pH balanced formula is suited for all skin types and regular use helps to prime the skin for optimal product absorption and moisture balance.
What I think: This cream can be used at night, before bedtime. You can apply a moisturizing cream over it if you’d like. When you wake up in the morning you get softer skin!

Jan Marini Holiday Exfoliator in Cranberry Orange ($85) — Just because the holidays are over, doesn’t mean you should stop treating your skin. Available in Sugar Cookie and Orange & Cranberry scents, JMSR’s popular, clinical-strength resurfacer immediately refines texture, leaving skin with a radiant, polished glow. This uniquely designed scrub eliminates harsh abrasives to gently and safely scrub and resurface the skin.
What I think: I like to use this exfoliator a couple of times a week. I love how soft it make my skin. And it smells amazing. The scent reminds me of fresh fruit and it is nice to use all year round, not just during the holidays!
Available online via www.janmarini.com now through the end of the winter season.

Phyto-C SUPERHEALTM O-Live Cream ($120 USD) — The nourishing O-Live Cream is created with multi-vitamin and centella extract to reinforce natural skin hydration. The light-weight formula soothes and calms itchy skin, reducing adverse skin reactions, dryness, irritation and redness.
What I think: This beautiful cream is super-moisturizing, but not heavy at all! I really like using this as a day cream before SPF. It has a little tint to it and helps with my redness. Since it isn’t heavy, it works well under makeup.

Wilma Schumann Oil-Free Nourishing Serum ($56 USD) — Nourish and moisturize while improving the appearance of damaged skin. This concentrated formula/’s amino acids (extracted from salmon caviar, rich in omega-3) are the building blocks of proteins. It/’s exceptionally effective for a range of skin types from normal to oily and acne-prone. No fragrance. Non-irritating. Paraben-free.
Wilma Schumann Moisture Activ Gel-Crème ($48 USD) — Visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines by protecting your skin from environmental damage. This light cream-emulsion combines DMAE, marine collagen, elastin, vitamin E and alpha lipoic acid known for powerful hydrating and antioxidant properties in a non-greasy formula. Subtle, natural fragrance.
What I think: Both of these products help moisturize skin without being heavy or greasy. I like to use them together at night (after exfoliating). I have a hard time sleeping with a heavy cream on my face. In the morning, my skin looks fresh and glowing.
