Try A New Makeup Look This Fall

I have been testing some great new makeup this fall.  I love changing it up every season for a fresh look.

I’ve been testing and loving makeup from Mary Kay, beauty ADDICTS, 20-20 Vision Cosmetics and L’Oreal. I love trying new products and new brands.  Here are some of my new favorites.

Mary Kay CC Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 ($20 USD) — Get easy complexion correction with a formula that acts like makeup and is formulated like skin care. Lightweight coverage for a natural, flawless-looking complexion, easy out-the-door option without that “made-up” look, minimal shades cover a wide range of skin tones and suitable for all skin types.

Mary Kay Eye Color Palette ($24 USD) — Inspired by the world’s most precious jewels, each tempting palette includes five complementary shades, from matte to high-shimmer, with true color payoff. Intense color in one sweep, color stays true and lasts all day, blendable and buildable and has a luxurious, luminous finish.

Mary Kay Semi-Matte Lipstick ($16 USD) — Sleek sophistication is yours with this color-rich, creamy lipstick. This lipstick claims long-lasting, stay-true color, won’t feather or bleed, conditions and feels moisturizing and keeps lips feeling soft, smooth and comfortable.

What I think: This CC cream is a perfect match for my skin tone.  It covers really well, too.  A lot of CC creams are very light coverage. It’s a perfect, everyday base.  The eye shadow shades are fun for a night out and will be perfect for Halloween, but not an every day look for me.  The lipstick is very moisturizing for a semi-matte lipstick.

Available at

beauty ADDICTS Play Eyeshadow ($15.50 USD) — Super fine, crushed pearls give a radiant look and a creamy application. They offer a burst of long-lasting, shimmering color.

beauty ADDICTS Show Off Mascara ($20 USD) — Intense, dramatic lashes with one easy stroke! This unique formula offers volume, length and curl with Argan Oil to condition and protect. The curved brush hugs the natural eye shape to coat every lash while fanning and feathering. No clumps, no flakes, no smudges! Comes off effortlessly with a gentle cleanser.

beauty ADDICTS Beautifull Lips Lipstick ($18 USD) — Rich, creamy color infused with intense hydration. Formulated with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and other natural ingredients, this formula also plumps with natural peptides and stimulates collagen for a firmer, smoother more voluptuous lip.

What I think: beauty ADDICTS makeup is pretty and high performance.  The eyeshadow is shimmery and lasts all day.  The mascara is perfect for me because it curls and lengthens my short and straight lashes. Red lipstick is a bit bright (I like softer tones), but it is very moisturizing.

20-20 Vision Cosmetics Concealer ($28 USD) — Start with the Corrector  under the eye.  Apply it softly and use it for the  dark or discolored eye area…. bring it out to sit on top of the cheekbone for accentuating and to  fill any crease, fold or blemish you don’t want to see.  Then apply the Concealer over the corrector for absolute coverage and staying power!  Both are crème based for moisturizing  and darker of shade to avoid that raccoon eye look…fingertips or applicators work! This sleek compact includes our revolutionary magnified mirror system. Now move on to your foundation.

20-20 Vision Cosmetics Lipstick ($12 USD, or 3 for $30) — Lipsticks that contain shea butter, jojoba oil, grape seed oil and avocado oil! All of your fruit nutrients on your lips!  They work while looking great! No other moisturizers or balms are necessary everything is in one fabulous tube with a magnifying mirror for quick clear application. Deep pigmented colors from  Just Red to a Mellow Merlot, even a Baby Pink. All of the 14 colors, matte or pearl, promote staying power that will not fade or feather!

20-20 Vision Cosmetics Eye Shadow ($28 USD) — Colors are developed in matte and pearl…not too frosted just enough to lighten and accentuate while never drying out.  Each three well package gives you a soft over all color, an accentuating medium tone to be used softly, and a slightly darker shade to be used wet or dry as a soft eyeliner.

What I think:  This is a cool new brand!  LOVE the concealer and the amazing magnified mirror.  It makes it very easy to apply concealer and get good coverage. I also enjoy that there are two shades to use alone or combine for the perfect color.  I have the lipstick in Baby Lips — a soft, light color.  It is very shimmery, but pretty. The eyeshadows are gorgeous.

Available at

L’Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier Bb Cream, Anti-redness ($7.99 USD) — Color transforming pigments infused in an ultra-light lotion to counteract redness. 4 BEAUTIFYING ACTIONS IN 1. NEUTRALIZES the look of redness, corrects skin color for a healthy looking, even complexion, hydrates for all day moisture, perfects complexion.

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara ($7.99 USD) — L’Oreal Paris introduces new Voluminous Butterfly Midnight Black mascara featuring a breakthrough wing tip brush to lengthen, stretch and volumizes to the outer corners of the eye with a deep black intensity.

L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Sculptor ($6.99 USD) — Achieve defined brows in as easy as 1, 2, 3 with the L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Sculptor. This 3-in-1 tool allows you to draw, shape, and set for perfectly shaped brows every time.

What I think: The BB cream is pretty cool. It applies green, then turns into the perfect shade for my skin.  The mascara separates well and gives lots of volume. The brow pencil is very blendable and is easy to use.
