Who new dirt could be so popular? Products modeled after dirt like toothpaste with charcoal are all the rage.
But they can be effective. I’ve recently tried some fun new products that contain mud, charcoal and even smell like dirt:

elvis+elvin Sea Mud Cleansing Bar ($20 USD) enhances the skin’s youthfulness with natural, mineral-rich Sea Mud that aims to purify, exfoliate, and invigorate the skin for a clean, smooth and refreshing feeling. Made with all natural Sea Mud with a hint of argan oil, the bar nourishes the skin and effectively removes dirt, blackheads, dead skin cells and other pollutants which can clog pores.
What I think: I love this facial soap. It cleans and exfoliates my skin really well! My skin is really soft and hydrated afterwards. It does smell very earthy, but nice. And it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin!

elvis+elvin Hydrate Therapy Detoxify Alginate Peel-Off Mask ($80 USD) — puts charcoal to good use! Naturally moisturizing, and tightening, the Activated Carbon (aka charcoal!) absorbs and detoxifies the skin. A hint of Mentha Arvensis essential oil sooths and relaxes skin. So easy to use, you just mix, apply and peel your stress away. The Hydrate Therapy Detoxify Alginate Peel-Off Mask is available at beauty.elvis-elvin.com for $80.00 for a pack of 5 masks.
What I think: This is a really cool peel off mask. Just mix the two pouches together and apply wit the included spatula. It takes 5 minutes for it to gel on the face, then it can be peeled off. It hydrates and firms my skin. And I love how it get the crud out of my skin.

Demeter Dirt ($21 USD for a 1 oz spray) –s a fragrance so earthy it is actually made to smell exactly like the dirt from the fields around the Pennsylvania family farm which belonged to Demeter Fragrance Library’s founding perfumer.
What I think: It might sound crazy, but I really like this! It reminds me of walking through a damp forest in the Pacific Northwest where I grew up. When I first spray it on, it dose smell like soil, and then a fresh note mingles with the soil. It finishes a bit powdery, but I don’t mind it at all. Crazy, but fun!
