Dry Skin on Your Body This Winter? Soothe it With Great New Products!

It’s cold again in Kansas City…boo!  And we are expecting sleet and snow in the next couple of days.  My skin is dying from the cold dry air here!

Below are a few new body skin care products that I have been testing. They are really helping my skin stay hydrated this winter!

Utterly Quenched Hand & Body Lotion
Utterly Quenched Hand & Body Lotion

Utterly Quenched Hand & Body Lotion ($12 USD) This nourishing lotion has the moisture that dry skin craves—completely satisfying thirsty skin as plant peptides rejuvenate. It’s a smooth infusion of sheer moisture—hydrating head-to-toe with Sugar Cane and our moisturizing complex of plant oils and butters. Here’s how:

  • our VATA Herbal Complex—pure hydration from Coconut juice and Sugar Cane, with potent Amla (an antioxidant “super fruit”).
  • our balanced moisture blend—Shea butter, plus Sunflower, Coconut and Palm oils.

100% natural fragrance blend:  Organic Vanilla Oleoresin, Vanillin Natural, Ginger, Cardamom, Clove and Orange Oil Extracts and other essential oils

What I think:  This is a great lotion to have close by because it can be used on the body and hands and does not leave a greasy residue.  When I first tried it, I thought it would be too light for deep moisture, but it really made my skin soft and smooth.  It also locks in hydration after a bath or shower.  And the scent is fresh and spicy. Nice!

Skinfix Body Repair Balm
Skinfix Body Repair Balm

Skinfix Body Repair Balm ($16.50 USD for 2 oz) —  The ultimate remedy for dryness and irritation. As the temperature drops, eczema and dermatitis flare-ups rise. This condition chronically affects 1 in 5 adults and each year prevalence rates continue to rise. These painfully dry, red, itchy and flaky skin patches pop up without warning and many people turn to hydrocortisone or steroids, which do more harm than good to the skin’s natural moisture barrier. Skinfix Body Repair Balm™ is a medicinal, all-natural alternative infused with colloidal oatmeal, healing botanicals and emollient protective oils. This best-seller works fast to safely relieve symptoms of dermatitis, itchy rashes, and extreme dry skin all over the body.

Trusted for generations. Compounded with natural ingredients. NO hydrocortisone, steroids, parabens, phthalates or added fragrance.

  • Dermatologist Tested
  • All-natural and fragrance free
  • Immediate relief from redness and irritation
  • Provides protective emollient barrier for extreme dry skin
  • Perfect for cracked heals and elbows

What I think:  My daughter has eczema and has been using hydrocortisone when it flairs up.  I gave this to her and she loves how it helps the redness without irritation. I also used it on my irritated cuticles at night and in the morning they were soft and soothed.  Also great for very dry heals.  Rub it in and put some cotton socks on at night — super soft feet in the morning!

AmLactin® Ultra Hydrating Body Cream.

AmLactin®— AmLactin® Ultra Hydrating Body Cream ($15.99 USD for 4.9 oz) is specifically formulated for severe, persistently dry skin areas needing extra attention. With our patented ULTRAPLEX® formula, this clinically proven cream gently exfoliates and intensely hydrates for long-lasting moisture and serious relief.

What I think:  This body cream is a lifesaver in the cold, dry air.  I love to use it on my legs, as they are so dry and flaky.  It is fragrance free so it won’t compete with your favorite perfumes.
