FLOWER Cosmetics – Forty, Flirty & Fabulous

With spring in full bloom, I wanted to share four of Drew Barrymore’s favorite, new FLOWER products. Drew is the creator of these beautiful products, and I was lucky to receive one of each of these products for my honest review!

From a lightweight, balm-like foundation to a face/body illuminator and eye and lip products with a range of shades – Drew’s top picks are essentials for spring. On top of having great color pay off and luxurious formulas, each product is travel friendly, making packing for spring (or summer) travels easier than ever!

FLOWER E.E. Erase Everything Ultimate Foundation ($12.98 USD) — Introducing the Erase Everything Ultimate Foundation, which helps to fill in uneven skin texture and fine lines while also hydrating the skin. This cream-like balm formula is mixed at a slow speed resulting in a creamy whipped texture, resulting in sheer coverage for a natural finish. Light diffusing pigments blur out skin imperfections, allowing for an even, smooth complexion with long wear properties.

Shades: Sheer Tint, Porcelain Tint, Ivory Tint, Buff Tint, Honey Tint

What I think: I received this in Buff Tint, which is a little dark for me. But, it will probably work with my summer (faux) tan. I think this is lovely for ladies who need a foundation that smoothes the skin and provides decent coverage. I love the creamy texture and the cool brush applicator — easy to use! It melts right into the skin and leaves skin glowy.

FLOWER Skin Radiance Face & Body Illuminator ($12.98 USD) — For a glow from head to toe, the Skin Radiance Face & Body Illuminator helps highlight the best features on both your complexion and body. The creamy formula spreads easily for an all-over boost of radiance and the universal shade can be used on all skin tones.

What I think: Love a lit from within glow? This product is perfect to achieve that look. I would call it a candlelight shade. Plus, a little goes a long way. Dab it on the cheekbones for soft strobing. I like to put a little down the length of my nose to make it appear thinner. Or to the cupids bow of your mouth to accentuate it. There really isn’t a wrong way to use this, since it is so soft and pretty (but don’t forget to blend)!

FLOWER Endless Wear Eye Color Ultimate Eye Color ($7.98 USD) — Create a variety of beauty looks with five beautiful shades of shadows. Providing sheer and lightweight color with true staying power up to 12 hours, the cushion-y texture goes on silky and shimmering, lasting all day without creasing or fading. Shades: Sheer Buff, Sheer Sands, Sheer Cinnamon, Sheer Charcoal, Sheer Seas

What I think: I was sent this cream shadow in Sheer Buff, a taupey greige (grey-beige). I first tried to apply it with my finger to an eyelid without primer. It was way to sheer and a little muddy looking. So, I used an eye shadow primer, then applied the shadow with a brush — gorgeous! The shadow is a little shimmery, but not glittery at all, and it doesn’t crease, yay! I might have to pick it up in a few more colors…

FLOWER Hydrasilk Ultimate Lip Butter ($7.98 USD) — Create a prefect pout with a conditioning lip butter that hydrates the lips upon application. The deluxe formula will lock in moisture and keep them soft and supple after removing the color. The beautifully luxurious formula leave the lips with a pure, intense color with a glossy finish. Shades: Naked Petal, Rose Petal, Peach Petal, Blush Petal, Ruby Petal, Poppy Petal.

What I think: I have this in Blush Petal, which is a bright coral-pink. It is so moisturizing, it’s like a lip balm with full color. Very nice for daytime, or use a darker color for a night out. My lips are dry right now (thanks allergies). So this serves double duty as color and treatment.

Drew Barrymore’s FLOWER Cosmetics line is an affordable way to build a great makeup look. The products are very innovative, but also work very well.

I was sent the following products for my honest review:

FLOWER That’s So Kohl! Kohl Eyeliner in Tell Me No Lilacs ($7.98 USD) Kohl It! This super luxe and creamy kohl eyeliner glides on effortlessly for the ultimate color payoff and intensity. Create the ultimate smokey eye with a built-in velvety, suede-like smudger that allows you to easily create a smokey eye; build, blend, and smudge to perfection. Medium-to-High coverage ensures the ultimate intense eye effect that will last up to 12 hours. Use the “Illu-min-eye-zer” to illuminate the eyes for a fresh, bright, look. Paraben-free, talc-free, phthalate-free, GMO-free and sulfate-free.

What I think: I used this liner to give my friend a bright smoky eye for a wedding she was going to. It was gorgeous alone, but also really nice with the palette below. Add a bit of the Pink or Gold shimmer over it or add the black for a darker look.

FLOWER Shadow Play Eye Shadow Quad in From Dusk Till Dawn ($8.98 USD) — From the new cosmetics range by Drew Barrymore, the Flower Shadow Play Eye Shadow Quad offers four gorgeous shades with color that blends evenly and flawlessly on the eyelid. Ginko biloba extract makes lids soft and supple. It smoothes and brighten delicate eyelids and gives a luminous finish.

What I think: Such a pretty palette! It can give lots of different looks, soft daytime looks and glamorous night looks. Plus, it’s long lasting when used with an eye shadow primer.

FLOWER Zoom-In Ultimate Mascara in Black ($7.98 USD) — Transforming lashes to appear dramatically longer, fuller and defined, this mascara has a unique adjustable brush that twists into 3 different shapes (on the right side of the photo) to let you customize lash volume and length. D-panthenol helps to smooth lashes and stimulate growth while rice wax provides smudge-proof color. Contains a naturally derived gellifying agent for ease in application. Ophthalmologist tested.

What I think: This is an interesting mascara. The more you turn, the shorter and twistier the brush becomes. When it is at is longest, it gives length and the shorter it gets, the more volume. I use two coats, length, then volume and my lashes look amazing!

FLOWER Transforming Touch Powder-To-Crème Blush in A-coral-ble ($12.98) — An exclusive, innovative formula that features exclusive “Liquid Powder” Technology which transforms loose powder into a crème by simply applying to the skin. The result is a flawless, airbrushed, soft-focus effect for face & cheeks. Pigments are encased by “Hydrophobic” powder and give a non-messy, mattifying, medium coverage. It is infused with essential oils to hydrate the skin and sets a quick and non-tacky finish.

What I think: Another cool product! I have used cream-to-powder blushes before, but not powder-to-cream. A little goes a long way with this product. I use it with a brush and blend it in well. So pretty on, and long-lasting.

FLOWER Kiss Stick High Shine Lip Color in Baby Buttercup ($6.98 USD) — A hero product, this high-shine luxury lipstick is infused with emollient oils to help improve shine and allow for a rich, creamy application. It will leave your lips with a pure, intense color payoff.

What I think: I usually favor lighter colors, and this is perfect for me all year round. I wear it with softer makeup in the spring, shimmery summer makeup and bold and darker looks for the fall and winter. It’s super creamy and lovely. LOVE!
